I highly recommend Sohyang's cover performances of "You Raise Me Up" and "Lean on Me". For me personally, she is on another level in the current era. There are singers who can hit high notes and surprise me, however she can not only surprise me but also touch my heart with her genuine sincerity (of course, based on her perfect technique).
I usually don't enjoy high-pitched songs and tend to prefer female singers with deep or darker voices. However, Sohyang is an exception for me. She learned American English by watching Disney movies and American Pop Singers. She chose to avoid contracts with huge recording companies, but is well known to people like David Foster and Michael Bolton. She began singing Gospel Music and can sing any genre of music ever written. She does her own musical arrangements, is a Songwriter, an Author, and has lectured on Music at University. She is also a spiritual lady and is as beautiful inside as she is out. She is a cancer survivor and has devoted her voice to lifting people's spirits. There is much more to know about her, but other of her devoted fans will be glad to gush about her, as well. Welcome.

She has shown to be a knowledgeable vocal coach and a seasoned professional with an open mind to consider performances in the context of the industry, beyond just technical appreciation. She also has the gravitas to speak independently when needed. It was so entertaining when she and her associates were compelled to laugh during Sohyang's performance. Her desire to see more Sohyang speaks volume to me on how she recognizes excellence where it is found, even though I knew there isn't any other possible conclusion for this reaction 🙂 It's also quite interesting to see her comment on the choice of emphasizing or weakening the enunciation of "R" for a singer.
Finally So Hyang makes an appearance on this channel! She’s one of the most powerful and adept female vocalists in the world in my humble opinion. You got it correctly... SHE IS VERY LAYERED! LIKE AN ONION! That's what I really felt when I first discovered her. I heard her for the first time 13 years ago through her song Until the Lord Returns. You know that the first part of the song is sung very sweetly but at the end she brings power to the song! Which is very touching ❤
If you want to hear more of her react to "Arirang" or "Lean on me". By the way Miss Rozette You're a very good vocalist. I hope you audition in some music shows in US (American Idol, X factor, AGT etc.) US needs more "Legit" artist who can really Sing like you. I hope you get the break because artists like you deserves more recognition and people need to hear about the talent that you have and the gift you can offer to the music industry.
Most people will recommend you see and hear songs from the singing competitions she was in (all excellent) so I’ll recommend something newer Wild Flower which is a live duet & for the holidays, much older but awesome O Holy Night.
