I listened to him on the radio over 50 years ago when he sang on the Christian Brotherhood Hour when his father was preaching on it. Loved it. Great voice.
My Mother loved this song and Doug singing it, she saw him perform in Florida years and years ago. She bought the album and listened to it all the time.
Thank you. My parents went to west 3rd street church of God where Doug's father Dale was the preacher. Pastor Oldham married my mom and dad. Doug and my father Glenn Hunt often sang duets together. Doug's father also wrote a hymn that means a lot to me. I wish I could find a copy... It's "let me see Jesus only". Doug and my dad used to sing " heaven came down and glory filled my soul".
Doug so touched he could barely sing. We sang " He Touched Me" as closing alter Calle erythromycin Church service at Browns Chapel little church in country with Pastor John W. Long. In Iowa. We also had nearly every group thats been on Gaither show and the older singers at our church to perform during 70's and 80's.
In May of 1984, they had a Christian Day at King's Island (OH). I think both Robbie Hiner and Doug Oldham were there, as well as others. Our Christian school/ Baptist church went. If I'm remembering this wrong, please help me.

I had the privilege of hearing Bro Doug Oldham in person. He came to our church in Indiana and what a joy it was

You are correct...I used to take our youth group to Kings Island on days like this. Made for a great time!
