Another great video! I've always preferred using a bow saw and a splitting maul to cut my wood. I've used a chainsaw a few times, but I've never owned one. Too loud and messy for my taste. Plus I don't like to disturb the wildlife. And I like doing it like our forefathers did. The old adage of doing it by hand warms you twice. Once when you cut it and once when you burn it. Blessings to you, Riley, Ellie and Olivia-to-be.
I'm retired now! I was a contractor, diesel mechanic, millwright, logger, sawyer! I bought a old boat trailer frame and cut it down so it only had a 12 foot bed and is 6 feet wide between the wheel fenders! I had to move the axle 2 feet ahead to center the tongue weight! With new tires, wires, lights, bed, highway patrol inspected, lisc! I have 500 dollars invested into it! And it's heavier duty than most new trailers that you can buy! I'm also originally a Minnesota farm boy that moved to Washington and found Jesus back in the 70s! Congratulations on the new baby!!! I'll be praying for your safe delivery!!!
The Union Pacific ran through my hometown. At night while lying in bed in the Spring and Summer my g'pa would keep the house windows open (screens shut of course) and I would lie in bed listening to them go by. It's a cherished memory. Makes me feel young again when I hear a train go by.
I just love your channel! I usually watch RUclips on my Roku but it doesn’t let you comment. I just watched your newest video and I had to let you know that you’ve really been encouraging to me. I recently lost my husband unexpectedly and as part of my therapy I started camping by myself to spend time with God and nature. Your videos are so calming and I learn so much from you. I’m so excited for your new addition! You and Riley will be amazing parents. I know your daughter will have such great experiences. My daughter and I started a Wedding and Events ministry to help others with their special event so that they can focus on their relationship. The relationship you and Riley have is inspiring and encouraging for other couples. Thank You for being such a role model!❤
Wow thank you so much for the kind words 🙏🏽 I’m so sorry to hear about your husband. I hope that getting out into nature has helped you heal and spend time with God. It sounds like you’re doing incredible things
I love KYLES CABIN! I have watched him build both his cabins and live a beautiful life in them! I used to live on Leech Lake and ice fishing was my favorite overnight thing to do. We all had villages on the lake and enjoyed fishing over night!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻Blessings
That’s so cool! He’s got such a great life. It’s pretty amazing to see what someone can do when they put some effort and intentionality into how they want to live. It’s definitely inspiring!
Thanks for the video and the opportunity to live chat with other viewers! Will pray for both of you as you wait for the blessed birth of your baby girl!!
Growing up we had an aluminum coffee pot like that but we had an basket to put the coffee grounds in and wen heated it would perk the water to make coffee, usually kept an eye on it for about five minutes to perk a pot of coffee!
Well being that this was a year ago I think things fell into place for you because your current videos are a pleasure to watch with such great content. Lovely family including sweet Ellie.
Jack, your meals... It's hilarious. After I started watching your videos, I started making cabin/camping food. Potatoes, bacon, and sausage and eggs all put together in a pan. It's hilarious because I'm a professional chef!!! And congrats to you and Rylie on your little one!❤️

This guy has a great life and a great wife. I love the way he has a perspective on life. He's so lucky. Keep doing what you do and you remind me of the guy on the show Rock the Park.
Thank you so much!! And guess what….that’s me!! When the showed ended in 2020, we moved back here to Minnesota! I chat with Colton still all the time. He lives with his wife and two ids down in Georgia now
Within 5 seconds into the video, I knew something was heavy on your mind. Things will work out fine, and you will think of something, until then, take care friend.
I couldn't wait to see you finally use your wood stove to cook on🥘. I feel like I'm watching an episode of little house on the prairie❤. Such a holsom and down to earth family you and Rylie are. What a blessing and joy you all bring to your followers. God bless to you Rylie and your baby girl to be 👨👩👧. Look forward to the next adventure! Happy trails 🤗🏕💕
Congratulations on your baby! You will find newness in everything now. Looking at things as a dad and through the eyes of a child. I can’t wait to see what comes next.
I watch Kyle's Cabin also. I have much respect for how hard you guys work. From building your own cabins to cutting and chopping firewood and all the other essentials to survive in the cold.

Cozy little arrangement. Glad you have some reading material with you, some relating to your circumstances, others not. Too many of these type of videos don’t give any thought to entertainment, so good on you. Obviously chores will keep you busy, but I’d probably still bring my S*ny windup radio and a handheld mini computer dictionary and games from the 80s (real good with the 4 AAA batteries, still works). Hi, The last time I wrote you I said how the Packer beat the Vikings on New Years Day. Man O' man, the next video I watched you had a Packer hat and gloves on. Wow, that's great. To bad they lost Sunday. Next year.
Hello, I'm Tor Larsen from Halden Norway, I follow their channel and think it's great to watch. Great that you are also having a proper winter. Here with us, we only burn wood all winter. We also have an old house in the forest where there is only wood burning and all may is cooked only with wood heat from a nearly 100-year-old Swedish Husqvarna NO 30 kitchen wood stove. Thanks for the nice videos. Greetings Tor Larsen in Halden Norway! Happy New Year!
Love that! We certainly are getting a proper winter this year. So cool that we can relate on things like wood burning and other things like this across the world. Thanks so much for watching!!

A nice restful visit to the cabin! Gotta be tough thinking about selling the tiny cabin on wheels. But, maybe better to let it go if it will help bankroll the next build! Good luck with that! I also enjoy Kyle’s Cabin, although he seems to build a bit bigger than you do!

Stumbled onto your videos about an hour ago. I really like your stuff and I’m going to subscribe! Instead of a bigger, and much much heavier, new travel trailer, have you considered buying an old U-Haul truck and renovating the back?
Welcome to the channel! 😊🙌🏽 You know, I definitely have thought about a few different things like that. Thats not out of the question…it might be the smarter solution in the long run. However, I just have this special attachment to cabins…it goes back to my childhood and how much I love our family cabin. I might be able to achieve that vibe in some sort of a truck or van as well. So we’ll see!
@@TinyCabinLife another option is used travel trailers are getting really cheap. We just bought a 21 footer. A lot of people bought them during the last couple years and do not use them nowadays. Get one and go document other peoples cabins!
i know this is going to sound funny but, on the corrugated alum. roof later when the snow melts away, i would spray RAIN X, THE SOLUTION FOR WINDSHEILDS NOT TO USE THE WINDSHEILD WIPERS ON THE ROOF METAL. i tried this on a portion of a roof on my storage shed and the ice and snow never stayed on the metal.! when the snow fell it never stuck to the metal. i know with snow in the roof, especially on top or on the roof , the snow acts like an insulator or retains more heat inside, ? on the vent i would install a V - shape diverter in front for the snow to not bunch up and spray or rub on the RAIN X on the V- shaped diverter >. also on the front of your cabin, i notice 2"x2" battens around the windows and sides , i would cover the 2 x2 wood with a sheet of plywood and then spray 2 part foam in the inside walmart in can 3.50 each can ,to add insulation to the cabin. hope this helps! p.s. happy concrats on the first baby, tell the wife HAPPY PUSH!!! haha.
(Tom once again.) How about looking into a "Tiny House"? Check them out. The guy who runs it is named Randy. He has many videos online about his 'tiny houses'. Good luck!!!
Just love getting away, even if its only a couple hours. Makes no difference. Recently I received a notice with a phone number from what is suppose to be your channel, informing me of a prize. I think its a scam, but maybe not. Just let me know if you sent anything. Stay Safe.
That is a FINE price on that! Looking at buying some kind of canoe/boat to get me out off the shore to fish this summer, otherwise I would jump on it! God bless! Best of luck! 📖
I suspect you will be too busy to do much building. If I was in the US I would be interested in the trailer but alas I'm not. Good luck finding a new home for it.
Another thing to consider is the likely down time you will have in the first probably three months of birth. You're going to be too busy to be cranking out videos of any kind. Your wife will need you. Don't sweat down time. You'll make the occasional video for awhile, and we are not going anywhere. Your life is about to change. Yay!
I love the winter videos because i dont have to watch you suffer with bugs lol the rainy videos too
For real!! 😄

Amazing! You can send me an email at jackfsteward@gmail.com! Just let me know a little bit about yourself, where you’re located and we can chat! 😊
You can't sell your tiny cabin, it's iconic!
I know 🤔 I’m still trying to decide what to do
Stumbled onto your videos about an hour ago.
@@trainnerd3029 Great idea too!
i know this is going to sound funny but, on the corrugated alum. roof later when the snow melts away, i would spray RAIN X, THE SOLUTION FOR WINDSHEILDS NOT TO USE THE WINDSHEILD WIPERS ON THE ROOF METAL. i tried this on a portion of a roof on my storage shed and the ice and snow never stayed on the metal.! when the snow fell it never stuck to the metal. i know with snow in the roof, especially on top or on the roof , the snow acts like an insulator or retains more heat inside, ? on the vent i would install a V - shape diverter in front for the snow to not bunch up and spray or rub on the RAIN X on the V- shaped diverter >. also on the front of your cabin, i notice 2"x2" battens around the windows and sides , i would cover the 2 x2 wood with a sheet of plywood and then spray 2 part foam in the inside walmart in can 3.50 each can ,to add insulation to the cabin. hope this helps! p.s. happy concrats on the first baby, tell the wife HAPPY PUSH!!! haha.
Haha thanks for the great tips!!
Oh my goodness! Did I just hear you say you’re planning on selling your little cabin?! If that’s the case I would be greatly interested!
I’m really thinking about it! If you’re interested, feel free to shoot me an email at jackfsteward@gmail.com 😊
SEMOGA HARIMU MENYENANGKAN 😊👍

I hade 3golden girls but not at the same time i miss them so much one is never aloned wen one is haveing a doggy like Allie
(Tom once again.)
How about looking into a "Tiny House"? Check them out. The guy who runs it is named Randy. He has many videos online about his 'tiny houses'. Good luck!!!
We’ve thought about them for sure! 👍🏽
Ok, so yu mentioned my question. I was wondering if you would be building a new cabin since there is a baby on the way.
Yep! 😊👍🏽
Depending on your budget. May I suggest a cargo trailer. It will give you and your family the extra space, and its easy to tow.
Well Rodgers can come camp with you now lol I like you WAY better than him 😂✌🏻
Haha I appreciate that!
(Tom again.)
Just curious.....have you ever seen any BIGFOOT or any evidence of one in your wildlife experiences? Thanks!!!!
No Bigfoot sightings 😁👍🏽
What beverage were you drinking ?
Logic Bomb IPA by Surly Brewing 👍🏽
Just love getting away, even if its only a couple hours. Makes no difference. Recently I received a notice with a phone number from what is suppose to be your channel, informing me of a prize. I think its a scam, but maybe not. Just let me know if you sent anything. Stay Safe.
So glad you enjoyed! That is definitely a scammer. Don’t send them any information. We’ve been seeing a lot of these scammers on different channels
Whats the price on that Tiny Cabin? 😍
I’m hoping for $5000. The trailer alone is worth $2,800. We’ll see!
That is a FINE price on that! Looking at buying some kind of canoe/boat to get me out off the shore to fish this summer, otherwise I would jump on it! God bless! Best of luck! 📖
@@ericlawson8909 That sounds like a very worthwhile purchase on your part!! Boats are the best 🙌🏽
I suspect you will be too busy to do much building. If I was in the US I would be interested in the trailer but alas I'm not. Good luck finding a new home for it.
Thanks so much! You might be right
Another thing to consider is the likely down time you will have in the first probably three months of birth. You're going to be too busy to be cranking out videos of any kind. Your wife will need you. Don't sweat down time. You'll make the occasional video for awhile, and we are not going anywhere. Your life is about to change. Yay!
Great insight 👍🏽
@@TinyCabinLife , LOL. I'm old.
How much do you want for it?
I’m looking for $5000 due to the trailer being worth $2800 alone. We’ll see what ends up happening!
