For real, is he looking at papers from their Stanley Cup run ? Like wtf is he talking about.......
The B's struggles this year are a combination of many things. Offence took a step back, FA signings have not planned out, Swayman in a starter role is not elite, D is weaker, Pasta having an off year.. They were due a step back, but this is more than that. The coach was clearly not the problem. Sweeney is ultimately responsible and should be taking ownership of the issues, and ultimately losing his job.
The reason why Marchy and Pasta aren't playing together is because they were giveaway machines together, while drawing more penalties than usual. It's very apparent that Pasta needs Krejčí and Marchy needs Bergeron in order to play their game. B's roster is comprised of 4th liners and Ahl players, or rookies. Having somewhat 6 competent NHL players aren't gonna cut it, esp. when Pasta is just not scoring and Sway has mid to submid performances. Honestly, this Bruins team is finally playing to the level everybody expected them to 1-2 years ago.
On paper, they ARE NOT a contender. Barely a playoff team! They took major losses and are an aging team. I'm a big fan of Marchand and Pasternak, but they need help!
@@Rzzz123yeah they def have a lot of solid younger depth guys. And even Pasta isn’t that old, it’s kinda just Marchand and he’s playing fine. I’m not a Bruins fan but it’s clear they need more scoring help up front: they need a strong 1C so Lindholm can slide down to 2C which would make them quite a bit more dangerous offensively. Swayman def needs some more goal support as good as he is
Having some truth could cause an angry reaction like the one Marchand had, but also if the two of them are really such close friends then of course he would be pissed, because what sort of things are they saying about Pastrnak with this rumor, they're essentially calling him some pretty nasty names so of course Marchand would be pissed and stick up for his friend
They have the goaltending. They just don't have the defense, rn. Hapus Lindholm has been out since November and is our best defenseman. Once he comes back, Swayman's numbers w😅be back to where they're supposed to be. He has been standing on his head and the sloppy passes and miscommunications are killing this team
There are few times I will agree with Marchand about anything, that clip in the beginning is one of those things that falls into that category. People start rumors for likes, clicks, views, etc..., and Pro Athletes as a whole, not just NHLers are getting pretty sick of the media, I'm sure Marchand isn't the first to sound off like that, nor will he be the last. Often enough, whatever league they're in slaps them with some sort of fine as a result.
Let me just correct you there. Pastrnak is not struggling. He is the only one getting some consistent points. It's the rest of the team that is struggling. But yeah he can still do better.
I didn't hear the story but the B's are not playing well and won't make the playoffs if it keeps up like this. The fact that they have played more games then the teams right behind them means as the numbers catch up those teams will also pass the B's up in the standings. Tampa just passed them and still have 5 games in hand. Ottawa has I think 4 games in hand and so on for some other teams.
The dressing room of any team on the struggle bus will have dudes loudly expressing negative emotions. Putting those emotions into words is literally how we resolve problems. We might start at 'FU donkey, I hate you, suck less' but we get to the next practice and try to improve. Players are motivated to win, reporters are motivated to get clicks. I'm amazed Brad gives any of his time to this. Just feeding the trolls.
Swayman not playing well because he got paid already. All these new players have career years in a contract year and poop the bed the next year. Tavares is playing out of his mind in Toronto and guess what ...it's a contract year. Watch his production go back down next year....guaranteed.
Swayman is very hot and cold this year, not completely poop. He has a 2.21 and .911 over the past month. I really think its the team in front of him not bringing their best effort every night as they should.
The whole "he's angry therefore it's true" is a dumb assumption about someone's behavior. Every person would act differently to a situation like that, and Marchand has always been known to be fired up. You can also get equally angry off false accusations. So either this dude is just going off a belief he has about people that's frankly false, or is just grasping for anything to back up his assumption
Its not the fkn coach. Its the piss poor drafting by the upper office. Our prospect pool is absolute garbage we have no trade capital, and nothing promising in the pipeline. THIS IS ON DON SWEENEY AND CAM NEELY, PERIOD
Media ethics are mostly non existent these days, obviously. Trash reporting and fake news are OK. Good for Brad for speaking out. On the other hand, as someone said below , I feel no pity for him. He's done his own dirty work and talked enough crap in his career to fill a book. He's injured players seriouslely more than once with cheap shots. And been suspended for it multiple times. Brad the kisser. So, shut up , Brad. Take your owm medicine and stop whinging.
Wait like they might move on from a second coach in one season??? They did hire Sacco this season right? I smokenweed but I didn’t think I had fried that bas
Uhh. This is getting to be a trend after the Petterson-Miller drama started. I can imagine specially a team that is used to success will have some harsh words when they are losing but hey... You are a paid athlete, you are supposed to hate losing so no wonder some tensions come up. This one, I pay no mind to it.
You have to remember that NHL HOCKEY , Like a BROADWAY play or SHAKESPEARE is Entertainment . Therefore the Media personalities are Critics . And what do critics do. They bitch and moan about everything saying that “ the public has a right to know “ BULLSHIT
First of all, I'm annoyed that NHL is screwing hockey YTers. Eck was my favorite discovery of 2024 and I was really looking forward to engaging with your vids this season since I have been really wanting to up my hockey IQ. I have been getting zero recommendations for this channel and I'm still getting recs for one of the big knock-off channels. B's fan so I'll leave my thoughts in another comment.
There is money being bet on all facets of these sports entertainment matches. Don't the bettors deserve to know what the background situation is? What if a few do, but not the rest? Howzabout full disclosure? Obviously, there is little to no (effective) communication on the ice. So what are the chances that it begins in the locker room? These business units aka teams are quite the posh lot. And don't criticise them for anything because...they get a huge cut of the overall revenues that the fanatics send in. When their slant is simply take the money and control the rhetoric, the whole she-bang makes it all so low vibe. Aside from all that, one quick fix is to change the channel. Watching other games is like...bumping up a level compared to this lot. They didn't even show up for camp in shape. And they all want more...for less.Look away! 🤑

Having somewhat 6 competent NHL players aren't gonna cut it, esp. when Pasta is just not scoring and Sway has mid to submid performances.
Honestly, this Bruins team is finally playing to the level everybody expected them to 1-2 years ago.
Bruins have fallen apart without bergeron
On paper, they ARE NOT a contender. Barely a playoff team! They took major losses and are an aging team. I'm a big fan of Marchand and Pasternak, but they need help!
Bruins are the 9 youngest team... no clue why ppl keep saying they are "old/aging"

Boston is hated so much that there's rumors going around about them hating themselves XD
I just want to say "Star Wars" on Eck's hockey channel.
tag for a sport that constantly says it is the toughest sport, the nhl media is extremely dramatic and catty.
Not signing Swayman before training camp was dumb. Signing Lindholm was dumb. Signing Zadorov was dumb. Firing Monty was dumb.
Not signing Debrusk was dumb. Im noticing a pattern.
Bergeron retiring ruined the bruins ngl
@ethanjackson1824 the management tram not having a plan for when he retired is what ruined the Bruins.
I'd legit be a better gm than Sweeney lpl
Imagine making a troll like "Lickey" Marchand the team Captain and being surprised when locker room drama flairs up...
Firing Jim really working out for Boston
They have the goaltending. They just don't have the defense, rn. Hapus Lindholm has been out since November and is our best defenseman. Once he comes back, Swayman's numbers w😅be back to where they're supposed to be. He has been standing on his head and the sloppy passes and miscommunications are killing this team
I am a fan and I am sick of the idiot medias too.
Players are also tired of your click bait titles.
Not just players
Shout out to Hammonds Plains!
So are the other teams sick of the media......they still remember how to play...ain't even worth watching
Marchand and hero in the same sentence 😂
Let me just correct you there. Pastrnak is not struggling. He is the only one getting some consistent points. It's the rest of the team that is struggling. But yeah he can still do better.
Marchand posted a bunch of pictures of him and Pasta on Instagram and the caption says "Wolves don't lose sleep over the opinions of sheep!" lmao
Imagine trying to say pasta and marchy aren't on good terms 😂
You do know that the report came from inside the organization?
@@Leroy-df3ee Oh is that a fact? Is it from one of the beverage hawkers?
@@LivingNed Your madre. After Marchy had his turn, Pasta refused.
I mean, one could say that Marchand was... slough footed... by the media.
Funny coincidence, this was your 902nd video ;)
I think we're all sick of the media. I'm sorry but we don't need to hear the same 5 cliched quotes over and over again after every game
Or we are losing because our power play is absolutely terrible
Did you say the Bruins might make a coaching change? Again? How do Sweeney & Neely survive firing Montgomery and the interim coach who replaced him?
No truth in twitter or facebook now...
Talk about the Detroit Red Wings please! 7 Wins in a row
which media outlet
Some guy with a podcast
I saw it on the WEEI YT channel
Rich Keefe, he's some loser podcaster.
Bruins just need to play the canucks a couple of times! All their scoring troubles will disappear.
Its not the fkn coach. Its the piss poor drafting by the upper office. Our prospect pool is absolute garbage we have no trade capital, and nothing promising in the pipeline. THIS IS ON DON SWEENEY AND CAM NEELY, PERIOD
Theyre coming for MacKinnon/Rantanen next
I’m a kraken fan. I don’t want to hear about poor power play.
According to ESPN, the Bruins have the 31st ranked Power Play at 12.2%, only better than New York Islanders' 10.9%
The Bruins should have kept Debrusk.
btw did you see christian stoever's saves last night?
Where's the rule that you have to like your coworkers? As long as you're professional about it who cares?
Kane beat the Blackhawks tonight.
Any players who are "sick of the media" should STFU and stop talking...
imagine hockey players getting fed up by the media now. Nobody really likes them hun
