You wild. Most Millennials weren’t scared or hurt by the episodes it was the parents. Also most studio’s pull the plug on these episodes to avoid being liable for anything that breach the media rating rules.
There are a lot of contributing factors as to what causes them to act like this. Most of not a lot of Millennials live in broken homes and even your generation today is making similar mistakes if not making them worse. TV is their escape through all of that. The sensitivity they feel usually stems from a lack of support or a form of comfort. Each generation has their own strengths and weaknesses. Sadly people only highlight the weakness and not live in an environment where they can develop an immunity to these emotional outbursts and inherit health and emotional stability. Of course Media consumerism is the only way to cope with that. People need to take responsibility for their unstable emotions but as someone who grew up in a similar situation. It's not entirely their fault that there this way. You don't expect a 7 year old to learn on their own from a neglectful parent(s) that never cared for their future in the first place. The parent is responsible for bringing them into this world. They have to share the blame too for aiding stunting their emotional growth. I mean, are we going to forget about the modern Greek walking tragedy that is Chris Chan. That should have been a wake-up call alone to tell people that they need to be a proper role model for their children instead of throwing them in front of the TV and hope everything fixes itself. Life is about growing and taking action. Just a thought.
