    You're committed now...haha, anyways make a test run for a few days with reg water check for leaks I would try to get the pump elevated above the water line, those check valves are the second thing to fail if no water leaks(just good insurance if you think it's worth it) Good going mate.

      Yeah, other viewers mentioned the same. I'm headed off to a Hydroponics shop next week, I will see if they have some sort of cover. if not, I'll get creative and make a cover myself. Thanks mate.

    • @bobhopman4648
      @bobhopman4648 5 дней назад

      @mydankdog I use cut up trash bag cut into a strip to go around the top inch of the inside of the netcup and use a few drops of super glue to secure it on that style cup. Most shops will have cups that don't have slits until an inch or two down.

      @@mydankdog nothing to worry about.
      Hydro plants grow so quick, they cover enough light. I used the reflective layer in the mars hydro version, but it's causing roots to grow upwards, because there's no light. Just gets damp and gross, i removed it, everything's fine.

    How quiet is the pump? Really the only reason I don’t do dwc I can’t take low base vibrations ✌️

    • @mydankdog
      @mydankdog  5 дней назад +2

      Hey mate, not so much any vibrations, It's more the gurgle of the water. It's not terrible, but it's noticeable. I've got my tent on padded carpet so the pump is not so bad. I'm going to add some padding to it. But really it doesn't bother me.

    • @TheFreakonhell
      @TheFreakonhell 5 дней назад +1

      Yes, depending on the location, where you need the silence.
      The splashing is running me crazy, i'll get rid of my top feeding buckets and only use the normal ones i have bought afterwards 😅
      If you're growing in a bedroom and you know it's gonna be annoying, don't even try (👀 i'll turn to autopots, great yields, silent, analogue)
      These tiny pumps are usually quite quiet, but as soon as you have the bigger version with four outlet, it's a very noticeable difference...
      I bought a pond pump to run it from another room, which also helps to keep the reservoir temps low. I can only recommend to NOT pump the hot tent air from inside into the buckets.

    Does the pump supply air and water? I didn't see a reservoir.

    • @mydankdog
      @mydankdog  5 дней назад +1

      The bucket contains 13 litres of water. The air pump circulates the water to the top ring and it drip irrigates the circle around the clay pebble area and back down into the reservoir. If you go to 11:11 in the video you'll see the drip irrigation water working. Thanks for watching mate!

    • @TwentyFiveSeven-df3ql
      @TwentyFiveSeven-df3ql 5 дней назад

      So air moving up the tube sucks up water to the top?
      13 liters of water - comes up to the bottom of the pebbles?

      It’s not a recirculating system. That’s RDWC

  • @tonylewis4472
    @tonylewis4472 4 дня назад +1

    I purchased this system. I'm about 3.5 weeks into flower. At first I was disappointed because the growth was slow. And my soil pot were taking off. Than I open the tent one literally and it was a jungle. They grow super aggressive in that dwc. It's crazy. Plant are like 6ft tall. They only thing I would say is the circle water jet ring is unneeded. Because time only time it's useful is in early veg. And they are too small than. Splashed water specs burns small pin holes in the leaves. And the roots gets tangled on the pipe that connects to the airflow

    • @mydankdog
      @mydankdog  4 дня назад

      Haha! Nice, I can see the difference already too. The DWC Medusa is racing ahead of the coco Medusa in comparison. Twice the size already. I know the roots are going to get crazy big in the bucket, I'm not sure how you'd be able to avoid some tangling issues. I've got a time lapse going, so I'm hoping I can get some of that aggressive growth on camera. Thanks for the feedback mate. I appreciate the input. Happy New Year!
