I want learn Russian not American English. I think I already know that accent being from western Canada. But my wife from Ukraine could benefit from this show. She seems to talk through her nose and I can't for the life of me get her to sound anything near to my accent. She can't say "r" She rolls the "r" which is really a different sound. I also know every Ukrainian or Russian I meet now in Winnipeg because they all have the same accent and keep their nose passage wide open as they speak. There are Ukrainians everywhere now. She has been in Canada since 2016 and is not much better in English and it has been 7 years. Everything on TV is in Russian and all her friends are Ukrainian or Russian and there is no need to really speak English. The government supplies free interpreters for all doctors and hospitals.
