מטרתו של הבורא לעורר את האדם, להעלות אותו מתהום הנשייה של האהבה העצמית אל אהבת הזולת. וכשם שאדם פונה לאחר וכשהוא לא שומע אותו הוא נאלץ להרים את הטונים, כך הבורא מגביר את קולו עד שכבר לא נוכל שלא לשמוע אותו: צאו כל אחד מעצמו והתאחדו. כך או אחרת הבורא ישיג את מטרתו, ונתחיל לגלות אותו בינינו.
