THE CREATOR the story of the child 🅰I is the absolute weapon the character of John David Washington decides to protect the child. Full of emotion and visually so great.
You would think that this film would be at minimum $150 mil to produce. Nope... $86 million budget. Personally I'm sold. I have a good feeling that this has a decent chance to succeed at the box office just based on the economic budget and potential.
The trailers have me very interested, excited for this movie, very excited looking forward to seeing it. interested in this concept, story they going, think the young lady playing the AI, everyone is after is going to steal the movie performance wise,John David Washington character looks like he's stuck between two sides, very intrigued,
I just read that the budget for the film is $86 million and just wow. The visuals look stunning. The Flash cost $300 million yet looked like vomit. This should be start of Hollywood going back to reasonable budgets. Hopefully.
I'll be very interested to hear the text and discover the subtext of what Gareth Edwards (he also wrote this movie) big picture take on AI is about. Aside from that, Grieg Fraser's cinematography is fantastic, really nailing the visual story telling as he did in "Rogue One" and Dune: Part One". Love every film Gareth Edwards has directed so far so this is one of my most anticipated this year...
Visually, this looks so good and the story has me fascinated. I wonder if humanity might be on the verge of victory (as was said in the trailer), but the machines have found/created a 'weapon' that would allow them to co-exist, but humanity isn't interested in co-existence, they want to be on top of the food chain and they don't want to share power with the AI/machines causing JDW to be torn in his loyalties. No actual source or special insight into this, just pure speculation on my part.
Yeah, I think there's a whole lot of gray area people aren't too clear on just yet. I think Kristian was mentioning this on his show, too. Not being too clear on what is and isn't allowed, etc.
They're not rules as much as suggestions. I wouldn't be comfortable promoting them but every creator (🤔) is left to draw the line they're comfortable with
Using the actual footage of the Beirut explosion is a shame on your part. Many families died that day and you use it for gaining profit. I am not going to watch this film in memory of the loved ones I lost that day, and I will do anything in my power to let people know what a terrible thing you are doing.
This doesn't look like a bust to anyone else. Look how movies are struggling nowadays. Being a good movie, it looks competent on all fronts, just lead to success anymore. It looks well made but I imagine the GP is not interested in this concept. Nothing about this trailer screamed see this week 1. Am I bugging?
@@nickbraleystudios132 if Oppenheimer is a hit then maybe the GP will rock with this movie. I just don't know what is a hit or a miss anymore. Lots of movies fail even though audiences should have gone to support them. Hell The Rock is my favorite wrestler by a mile and I didn't go see Black Adam.
I hope you're wrong, but I don't know... BR2049 was a gorgeous, wonderfully shot movie that continued in the vein of the original BR with great characters and story. What is being human? What defines humanity? Can machines be sentient and, if they are, do they deserve the same rights, dignity, fairness we accord ourselves? And, yet, much like the original movie, not too many people turned up to watch the new one so... I hope you're wrong, but I think you just might be right.
With the SAG & WGA strike and this movie having to release with 0 actor promotion, yes the stakes are STACKED against this movie but everyone who has ever complained about Hollywood's lack of original movies (me included) NEEDS TO do their due deligence and support this original IP film in theaters so that WE AS AN AUDIENCE can get MORE AND BETTER ORIGINAL FILMS, otherwise if this movie bombs, Hollywood WILL NOT be financing such movies for us at least for the next 6 to 7 years AND NO ONE has a right to complain when they do if you didn't bother watching and supporting films like this, Oppenheimer, Killers of the flower moon, Napoleon, etc basically the kind of movies Hollywood has stopped making in favor of IP franchise films! I hope it's not a bust and can find its audience!
We need more original IP like this! Studios need to take a chance on movies like this like they did back in the day.
Agreed , It’s the difference between having a story to tell and just having an IP and trying to fit any story around it

Read that the budget is 86 million dollars I hope people go see this movie if it’s great we need more original sci-fi movies!

It’s so refreshing to see a new sci-fi film that’s not based on a existing franchise.
This looks like an instant classic
Love the vibes from this one. Almost has hints of an Animatrix/Matrix prequel. Looking forward to it!
Hopefully it's not as convoluted for most audiences to understand unlike the Matrix movies.
I love Gareth and original sci fi stories. This is a day 1.
Man I am definitely seeing this film ,love science fiction films always have and this film looks awesome, can't wait
Looks interesting...Always going to support John David Washington, so I will be seeing opening weekend.
Wow, this looks amazing. I didn't even know about this, thanks John.

WOW! is definitely the reaction for viewing this trailer. It is now my most anticipated movie! I hope the movie is as amazing as this trailer.
Can you cover this? I thought you were in SAG?
He’s not promoting his work.

This movie looks exactly like how rogue one looked when they arrived on Scarrif
Looks awesome
It’s like the plot of X-Men 3 meets terminator Salvation
Interesting I dig it and I really wish we could see that dark cut of rouge one even more now ! Will defo check this out ! @JohnRocha
Looks like an epic 21st century dystopian version of The Golden Child... "G-G-G-Give me the kniiiife." 😋
come on now get it right. eddie`s words were , " i say uh i uh i uh i i i....want da-nife.
Cool
my cup of tea.
I'm surprised to see you reacting to this. What's your view on the SAG-AFTRA guidelines?

I've NEVER reacted to a trailer like Rocha does. Worth seeing? 🤷♂️
Wow I’m in
Ok lets clap 🫡👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 for an ORIGINAL IDEA. About time. Shout to John David! Lets Go!
with the SAG stuff, posts like this is allowed? trying to understand.
Same
No matter if there are strikes, the studios retain the right to promote their movies.
@@SpiderWireless yep! but Rocha isn't a studio and there are rules on the SAG site for ppl in the "influencer" space so that's why I asked.

They used the Beirut explosion footage at 1:42. Really hope this is removed.
She is the weapon. Killing humans with kindness? 🙂
