Finally got it up and running. The only delays we had was because we realized we needed some extra parts (I’ll list that below) ruclips.net/user/postUgkxihMYiJNXcHdbH-7ihymsLz61l7jVyb5O . So we have a loft where our current hvac just couldn’t seem to keep cool during the summer. We have been using a window unit since we bought this house over 6 years ago (all the houses in this neighborhood were built in the 80’s and majority of the houses built like ours use a window unit). I hate window units because they are just so noisy and the one we had really only cools one side of the loft. I had contemplated upgrading our current HVAC, but with all the rising prices these days, it would take years before saving up enough to do that. With the advice of my father-in-law (used to run an HVAC business), he recommended we get an inverter instead. We thought we bought everything we needed, but there were just a few other parts we didn’t anticipate needing (which is what caused most of our delay). My friend and father-in-law did all the work to get it installed and running and now we have nice cool air circulating nicely throughout the entire loft. It is very quiet and even the outside unit is much quieter than our main HVAC unit. Saved ourselves thousands getting this.
Air conditioner cleaning I vote we demand Air conditioner manufactures design the equipment they sell to be more user-friendly and serviceable. Clearly all the split type air conditioners you see today are not designed for easy cleaning or easy maintenance. These systems need to be cleaned and maintain on a regular basis. How long do you think those metal screws into plastic housings housing will last before you see failure. Then what, where will you buy replacement parts? Come on Daikin, make your products the best they can be!
Hello Pen I hope my text reaches you for a response, Thanks for the dismantling video very educational, I have a split unit similar to yours 12btu, and where your copper pipe turns left, mine turns right. as original it is same as yours going to the left exit, but in mine I need to go right this is scaring me pipes are very small, the straight option is not working for me I have a concrete column. So it looks like this needs 180 degree bending and someone who is not aircon expert it is little scary undertaking, could you help and explain how to safe this thing without bending pipes internally wrong way. I am an architect know about buildings but this is little of my expertise. In Summary aircon as standard come the pipe exiting to the left bended by the factory,,,,, on my case I need this pipes to go right opposite direction, big twist on the pipes can ruin the unit, please help. Thanks in advance.
That's freaking awesome man but can you tell me where is the so-called drip tray where the condense water it's collected and then and drained away? it's extremely hard to recognize, which part is that? 8:20 is that the condensation water pipe? and how do you open the tray to thoroughly wash it out? thank you!
Great presentation. I have a problem with little noise during the running and awfull smell, like dead corps. Can be that because of some contact between the rotating fan and some rigid parts inside. Does anyone have such experience?
My daikin ftk25tv1w 2.5HP indoor unit I try pull blower out to left so strong after unscrew its fan motor connector screw still don't come out, know how?
mon unité intérieur de climatisation Samsung fait du bruit est ce que le problème émane du ventilateur interne du split ou des roulements du moteur ? et si le problème émane du moteur est ce que je remplace le moteur ou je remplace les roulements du moteur?
Dear Sirs, thank you for your video. I own a Daikin FTXS25K2V1B that it is a pretty similar machine but it seems that the water collector tray is not detachable like you show in this video. For this reason it is not easy for me to get the machine completely clean because the component itself is an integral part of the main plastic body. Do you have any suggestion on how to perform a proper maintenance routine on this type of machine despite the fact that the collector tray is not easily accessible? Thank you very much for your reply!
what a terrible design. the daikin factory should know that blower fan coil needs to be cleaned regularly and thoroughly. spraying jet washer just isn't enough, it needs to come off. very good step by step video nonetheless.
I feel like they designed it this way to make customers have to regularly pay their technicians to come and service the unit...they are scummy ill never buy a daikin again, their technicians are there to squeeze you dry.
I have red about this model that is durable with no problems, and which series is this Comfora, Proffessional or something like that, and greetings from Mostar southern city in Bosnia, I was thinking to buy a Daikin that model or Fujitsu.

Hi...mine is similar but i cant pull out the fan motor..it like stuck..do i need to pull with some force?thx

Hi, is there any ways to remove the blower without detaching the whole casing? The design is damn stupid from Daikin. Very difficult to remove blower
No and its the same for every minisplit indoor unit, this is from the easier side
Thanks for this video. I have this model at home, and I'm trying to figure out why the air is not blowing strong.
either coil clogged or blower dirty
What is the cable connection to the coils for? Mine seems rusty already.
Nice video 👍
很有用,支持
Pls do for FTKS50

Take some photo of your air con email to me I take a look what you mean. Pensiewyoung@gmail.com
me too i have a ftc50nv model. the water tray cannot be removed seperately to access the blower.
its seem like its one piece plastic.
Yep, that's why I'm here. Trying to figure out a simple solution to remove wheel.
Thanks 👍
Supar
Thank you
The part air comes out is broken where can I buy?
DAIKIN
Air conditioner is heavy or no?
Does a Daikin aircon usually lasts for 15, 14, 13 or 12 years of usage before being eventually replaced by a new one?
non inverter over 12-15year can. inverter 11years +/- can but after 7 years may need some repair
You need to clean the scroll every year, stupid design..
There is a small metal clip on the blower wheel. I forgot to install it back after cleaning. is it important? what does it do?
if have need put back the same position. if not also ok too. i believe it a balancing thing
Good job 👍🏻
Excellent
