My mom is VERY religious, she will NOT listen to any rock that I like, no way, no how. Screaming guitars are NOT her thing, at ALL. When my CD's in my car burst forth with life and she is in my car, she is like"how about you shut that garbage off?" It could be just seconds into the song too.

Out of all the music that I listen to through various genres, Nightwish was one of the few bands that my mom also enjoyed listening to, she even made me turn up the volume every time a Nightwish song came on in my playlists.
Love you mom, I still miss you, wish you were still here, you were the best mother anyone could ask for and my one and only true best friend.
I‘m so sorry for your loss. My mom introduced me to Nightwish, and they‘re one of the very few bands we both enjoy. Keep her in good memory and don‘t forget, she loves you too

"Ghost Love Score" - a song about an imaginary love: meeting and first flush of new love; then the honeymoon period (the orchestral interlude); then the break-up. Incredible piece of music for such a simple story.

@@stickiedmin6508 I think you are absolutely correct. The clues are given to us everywhere we turn. To deny them is to stick one's head in the sand! After Once, Dark Passion Play carried on the soap opera through the climax of his anger, metaphorical death, and rebirth. Imaginaerum carried us through the final denouement and conlusion with a self-reflective auto-biography of sorts. He even gave us a remarkably explicit admission of this in the original lyrics heard only in the demo version of Poet & the Pendulum sung by Marco which were later changed and made more ambiguous for the production version. I'll bet most people missed that cue!!

Tuomas definitely has difficulty communicating on a 'normal' level with other people - he *_hates_* confrontation.
It utterly crushed him when she started her relationship with Marcelo and all the affection started to turn to bitterness.
Sad, sad story - nobody's fault really, just another case of unrequited love.

I've listened to the Tarja's Ghost Love Score for so long that hearing it without her accent is strange, lol.
I listened to so much nightwish as a teen that I have a really hard to accepting anyone besides Tarja even though this lady sounds fine. It's just not the same.

Actually though Floor can sing flawlessly without an accent, on "of the world" you can clearly and on every performance hear a trace of a very girlish Dutch accent.
I suspect she left that in there for expression and to honour Tarja's choice to never remove her own Finnish accent from the wistful parts of the song.
Nah... “Ghost Love Score” is easily crushed by Floor.

You really need to do the islander, its one of the songs where marco sings, also phenomenal... if youre interested the entire album imaginaerum was created for a movie that they made of the same name, and also had roles in. Its an interesting watch.

Over the last few weeks I have learnt this song on my ibanez electric guitar and I gotta say, in my 9 years of playing, this is my favourite song to play, including the lead solo, the introduction does give me pirates of the Caribbean vibes tbh, love this song dearly, this song has brought me on a journey and brought therapy for my bad depression

Sharing songs with my mother is like going all in on a gamble. I have to be 90% sure she’s going to like it, because if she doesn’t, then she berates me and breaks everything down to the core and questions my interests.

Whenever I hear the very first drum beat I recognize Ghost Love Score immediately and I can't help grinning in pure bliss like an idiot. Happened the first time after purchasing Once when it came out, and then right after Floor got her beautiful claws on it. I was there in Wacken 2013, and it's still to this date probably the most emotional concert I've been to.
Alex, really enjoy your channel. Keep it up. An FYI. I'm Finnish "J" is.pronounced as "Y". So Floor "Yansen". Keep bringing mom too.
