The most frustrating suspect you'll ever see - JCS INSPIRED
A Baltimore man faces a sentence of up to life in prison after Loudoun County Circuit Court Judge Jeanette Irby today found him guilty of first-degree murder.
Kelvin Forde fatally shot his wife, Ruby Forde, on a secluded Loudoun road on March 11, 2014, her 55th birthday.
Irby handed down her verdict after hearing three days of witness testimony for the prosecution and defense.
County prosecutors said Forde planned the shooting, becoming upset after being told a day earlier about his wife’s plans to file for a marital separation and to travel with her family to visit other relatives in Jamaica. Their witnesses include Ruby’s co-workers and family members, along with forensic science and firearm experts.
They also presented video footage of Forde in an interview room with two detectives. The video shows Forde explaining what happened, but remaining unresponsive to the majority of questions about why he killed his wife.
The defense sought to lessen the charge against Forde to manslaughter or second-degree murder, arguing that Forde shot Ruby in the heat of passion, without advance planning. Forde’s daughters and brother took the stand to testify on his behalf. When asked if Forde ever explained why he shot Ruby, one of his daughters testified that he was unable to explain it, and would cry from time to time.

They are allowed to lie to the public, for some sick twisted reason..Then they resort to deflecting, if that does not work, manipulation..The murderer may be a criminal but do two wrongs really make a right? Can two negative numbers be multiplied? Do we push back with our feet to move forward? Can lying be justified to dig the truth out of "offenders"? Would pushing your foot forward push you back? Life is fuckin' weirder than imaginable, and everyone is/can be wrong/right simultaneously.

This is personally one of my favorite videos you've made... I've commented before to thank you for adding subtitles and I just have to keep saying thanks. I absolutely love watching interrogations, but being hearing compromised and nearly deaf, not being able to hear and understand the suspect specifically makes a huge difference in my ability to enjoy videos like this. Even if the subs aren't 100% correct, the effort is greatly appreciated. Also, adding photos and other things for context *really* helps the hearing impaired. These things make a world of difference to people like me, so again, thank you! 🦻 🙉

  • @aprilgarcia6119
    @aprilgarcia6119 2 года назад +9

It's funny to read these comments trying to bash this dude for his emotional state during this investigation.
Quick recap: He just shot a woman to death that he invested 25yrs of his life into loving. He just lost a job he probably thought he'd retire from some day. But, instead of supporting and encouraging him 'for richer or for poorer' she decided he was no longer worthy - she chose someone else - NOT after they were divorced, but while they were still married.
I know ya'll would have just handled that like a champ. But for most people, that's alot of pain and anger.
I'm not defending his actions. But I believe during this interrogation his mind is spinning, trying to process everything and his body is probably depleted of energy in the aftermath of of all of his emotions finally coming to a head, exploding and leaving him spent.
And every one of us has done something we regret and thought, 'Why did I do that?' Sometimes it's really difficult to understand our own logic - much less explain it to someone else
He promptly called 911. He didn't run from the situation or try to deny what he did. And he's clearly devastated that he did.
I'm not sure what else you want from him or what state of mind you think he should be in. But I think it was very appropriate given all the details.

TruRed, I wanted to reach through my phone and slap the 💩 out of Kelvin! He's acting like a two year old, saying that he don't know why he killed his wife. They are being to soft on him. Scare him straight to get the confession and the reason why! It's like pulling teeth, smdh. Thanks for the videos, your commentary and the laughs. The suspect seems very despondent and the detectives are doing a good job of using the FBI's Reid Technique of questioning by offering less awful scenarios such as , "We know you're not a monster". They are also trying to get him to admit he consciously brought the gun ahead of time indicating premeditation so they can charge him with premeditated murder. This is why people should always listen carefully to their Miranda rights and always, always, always ask for a lawyer. Even if you are completely innocent. You never know what landmine you may accidentally step on and unwittingly self incriminate!

This one absolutely remembers. He simply doesn't want to incriminate himself further.
I'm not so sure he's remorsefull either. He put the gun in the car, wich points to intent. His sadness, I believe, is caused by the thought of how he has ruined his whole future and what lies ahead of him.

The detective job is to get a confession. So all their coaxing is for that one purpose, to get a confession. It is legal to promise, to lie even, and of course to seem to sympathize. They flatter, encourage and prod. When I see these eager, impatient cops getting frustrated, hey, that aint how it's done. A deer hunter can't be getting all in a rush. On the good side, their interrogation won't get thrown out. They use no coercion, and presumably, read him his Miranda. Thanks for subtitles.
