ohh this makes me want to go back to spring 😍
Right! Love spring time
Im sitting here watching snowflakes fall but it's such a delight to visit peony season!
Sounds beautiful, we might get snow this week, just a skiff but most likely not. Enjoy the slow season my friend
I unfortunately deleted your last comment on our latest video! Ugh not sure how I did that. I does feel like just a few short works ago we were out in the garden and playing with flowers.
Love the show! Thank you! It would be helpful to spell out the list of their names for reference in the description, for those who are "new" to the amazing variety of beautiful peonies, which I love! Thank you!
I'll try and do that, great 💡
My favorite are the Coral Charm ! ❤😊
Yes Adam is a catalog that you can order from they do have a catalog and I just ordered last spring 2020 routes and they send really big Roots too so that's a nice place to to order from so talk to y'all later have a good day I love you flowers okay talk to you later
I've heard really good things about them!
Hello. Is there any way that I can cut fresh peonies from our garden to save for 3wks for my wedding?
Yes, cut peonies in marshmallow stage, take off most all or all foliage, wrap up each flower in paper, and store in the fridge. They will look bad at first when you go to use for your wedding but just cut and place in water and let open. It works as a charme.
@@crowleyhouseflowerfarm OMG I can't believe I have an answer! However, it looks as tho they are done for the year! Thank you so much
@@bfay9294 you can get a close look with a garden rose? Best of luck
Im watching for the third or fourth time. Peonies are my favorite. they are full of magic and just soooo easy to care for. But, now i am collecting enough for a peony explosion! Who is going to trim 15 new bushes? Oh wait. Thats me. I did it to myself!
😄
That big bunch of coral charm and other varieties you held after cutting are gorgeous.
I just love watching your videos it excites me the moment I see new updates the flowers are amazing such good content as well
Thank you my garden friend ❤️
Gorgeous peonies! I do have 4 varieties that y'all are growing. I love love my peonies...you can't go wrong with growing a peony. My top flower I love is a rose and my other top flower is a peony 😂😂😂😂 I have two #1s lol. Thanks for sharing. God bless 😊
You can't go wrong with Peonies and roses!
4o000 plants?! Awesome I have about 50 and my husband is already sweating trying to find a planting area for them😅
Its a tone of work for sure but I'm sure it will be beautiful in the end.
Where do you order the plants?
we normally did them up every 3 to 4 years and divide them
WOW JUST WOW BEAUTIFUL ❣️❣️❣️
Its a beautiful life.
So I’m watching this two years later, did you ever get your Pecher peonies in? I got one this year and I was surprised that it was the whitest peony - I was so surprised I was expecting pink! 😂
❤just love peonies. Thanks for introducing these beauties.
You are so welcome!
Thank you for a great video! I´m surprised I´ve never seen your channel before. I recently bought a small farm in Sweden and I´m planning on planting a few hundred peonies to start with.
Well, welcome! I was in Sweden this last summer for about a week. Peonies would be a perfect crop with your climate. Sweden is so beautiful 😍
Peonies are hard to grow here in Alabama. They don’t love our heat! Sarah Bernhardt, Karl Rosenfield and Festiva Maxima are about the only ones I’ve had success with. But I sure would love to grow the Shirley temple, the coral one and the duchess one!
Beautiful!!!!
The coral might work just because they bloom early. Peonies are so beautiful and add such charm to the garden.
I’ve been moving my peony garden from CO to AL over the last several years, planting time has a huge impact on whether they survive and flourish or not. Fall planting is essential! I’ve found Itohs and tree peonies have been the most robust, old fashioned Lactifloras have grown and flowered fairly well and the herbaceous hybrids have lagged behind, surprisingly, those like Coral Charm have had more mildew issues.
Thank you gals to put on a nice show of the varieties. I'm a peony lover, and a sucker for perfumes. Cannot have enough of them. I have grown quite a few classics like Sarah Bernheardt, Kansas, Sorbet and a tree peony. At the time I bought them in nurseries. It was quite an investment. But they rewarded me enormously by flowering profusely year after year. That was in upstate NY. We moved down to TN two years ago. Knowing better, I started my new collection from bare-roots. To save money, I bought discounted bare roots online. Had some bad luck but also succeeded. Several Itoh peonies flowered this year. I was thrilled because it was their second year. Wonder if you have any suggestion to get good bare-roots at a reasonable price.
Wow!!! It sounds like you have a beautiful collection. I'm hoping to have roots available next year! Fingers crossed 🤞
A must video for all peony lovers.
I just love watching your videos it excites me the moment I see new updates the flowers are amazing such good content as well
This was very informative, but expensive...lol. I just finished ordering some for my garden. Thanks for sharing.
Ohh dear! 🤣 I know I'm always a sucker for buying plants after getting inspired.
@@crowleyhouseflowerfarm I have not noticed any asiatic lilies in the vids so far - do you find they do not work for cutting?
I do grow some. They do not sell well in our grocery bouquet, so I only grow a few for cutting and in the landscape. I do like them
@@crowleyhouseflowerfarm Surprising they don't do well. But fair enough. I guess everyone has them in their yard.
I’m definitely excited to start. Thank you so much for your detailed descriptions. Gorgeous varieties
Thank you!
Oh I love Cecile Bruner rose ( the sweetheart rose)
It is absolutely gorgeous on your shop!
So out of control but I love it.
Wow, your peonies are just gorgeous! I just love peonies. I’m so happy to finally be living where I can grow them. ❤️ I love your Cecile Bruner rose. We had one growing up and it’s still at my parent’s home. It must be 45 years old! Always brings back memories when I see one.🥰
I'm so happy I now have the name of the variety on her shop! Thks so much!
Hi do you have peony flowers ready for mother's day next week? May 13,2023.
We don't this year, but normally we do, we will have them available for shipping soon! Probably in a few weeks
What do you do about the ants? I noticed your peonies do not have ants on them. Mine have them everywhere. What do you do for them?
Ants are normal for peonies, there is sugar on the blooms so the ants will eat it, and then the bloom can open mush more easily. We just know off, or by the time we cut the rain, has washed most of it off andvants are gone.
So funny
😉
Love Beth, such a mom 😅❤
Awesome flowers,love them.
Beautiful!
Thankyou for making this video..this is exactly what I was looking for in terms of choosing the best peony that would work for my garden
What is the name of the RED one? the one that says smell. 16.46
I think Big Ben if it's a deep red.
I just love watching your videos it excites me the moment I see new updates the flowers are amazing such good content as well

Great video…what is the name of the beautiful red one in the cover photo..thanks🥀
Big Ben is the name of the red one. ❤️
Thank you!
Fallen in love growing these most amazing Peonies, what type of fertiliser do you use, I read that they need high pH.
Is this correct?
Peonies don't require much fertilizer or any at all. If you do use some, use sparingly and use one that is higher in potassium.
What fertilizer do you use to make the stems stronger to hold up the flower. I've always called them pe-o-nies!! Over 60 years!!
Hi! Yes, pe-o-nies are the true name and what we call them as well. Edit error that was hard to fix 😉. We use fertilizer that is low in nitrogen if we fertilize. Most of the larger plants we only fertilize every three years. We do add a compost every year.
Hello girls! You and your peonys are marvelous! Duchesse de Nemour is" sounding " like " due[sh]ess 😁. And normallly it smells the thrush may. Good luck and Happy new year!
🙏 happy new year!
Better than roses and I love roses. Xxx

Wow. Your flowers are so beautiful. I have a peony. This is my second year with it so I hope to get flowers. The plant looks healthy. I think it will bloom.
Well happy growing!
How do you harvest the peonies as far as keeping the ants from coming inside with the flowers?
We just knock them off if we have any. They normally are just on the outside of the bud, and we rarely have any on them. Ants are normal to have on peonies as well. They are after the sticky sap on the bud, I guess you could wash off as well? Good luck 👍
Its been cold and wet here too in Central Oregon, but then summer came yesterday and then it decided to be hot. 😂 I will take this over the crazy heat of last year tho!
Yess! Crazy spring but I definitely have to agree with you, last year about broke me. 😄
How would I know if I can grow them in my area? I live in Southern California!
They grow best in a zone 3 to 8, so figure out what zone you are. California has a ton of growing zones. You might also look to see if folks are growing them in your area.
Thank you! This was super helpful. Been curious about different varieties of peony.
Happy to have you tagging along with us.
Gorgeous. Now I want that Shirley temple one. I can imagine it glowing at dusk!
Right!! So beautiful.
I just love watching your videos it excites me the moment I see new updates the flowers are amazing such good content as well

Thanks for this video. I think I have an idea what I’ll add to my garden. Can’t wait to see the roses.
Roses coming soon!!!

Do you sell tree peonies? I’ve looked all over for a couple to plant in my garden.
Not yet but hopping to some day, did you look at Adelmens?
Cool video. Thanks for the info! 💮💮💮
Thanks for watching!
This is an EXCELLENT video. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it! more on peonies this coming spring!
There are two varieties in my garden, six more will be added. I'm working to cross them and produce much nicer hybrids. Your comments about flowers contributed to my thoughts. Thank you.
Wow that sounds amazing and a beautiful project that will reward you in time.
