Looks great considering the time of year. May is my favorite month for my garden, but without the work and planning that I do now it wouldn't be its best. This can be a busy time of year for sure!

Zone 8b, I direct sow in Seattle in March for early summer blooms. I don’t soak as rain takes care of plumping them up.

The yellow azalea (rhododendron) could be a native from the forests of the eastern US.

I always expect many failures in my gardening. The only perfect garden was the garden of Eden. I always enjoy the happy accidents that make me forget the failures!
