Got a friend that gigs professionally. The heart of his setup is two DFAMs and a Mother-32. He goes by Golden Donna (Auscultation is what he goes by when he spins records, my bad) on Bandcamp if you want to see what else they can do. His stuff is kinda chill and lofi.
Absolutely gorgeous 😮❤ My wife and I were dancing in the kitchen while making breakfast 😂 I just picked up the DFAM/Subharmonicon Studio bundle to pair with my Matriarch… lots of learning ahead 😅 Thanks for the great sounds and the inspiration!!
I am late to the party here, but this is a great beat ! I am not much into EDM usually, but I like these very atmospheric, slow droning patterns. Yours here is hypnotic in the best of ways. Hats off ! On a side-note, I too believe that using two DFAM at the same time is an optimal configuration. A single one always falls a little short, when it comes to programming both an expressive beat and a bass line. However, this brings the tag price close to 1600 €, which is totally out of my league.
Hey, thanks a lot for the comment. I'm glad you appreciate what I'm doing here and that you liked the video. Yes, totally agree, I was lucky enough to be able to buy two DFAM when its price was still reasonable, now it's pretty crazy... Regards!
@@CarlosNativeOfficial You are welcome. I have tried to circumvent the shortcomings of owning a single DFAM by using a "trick", which so far has yielded promising results. I realised that most of what I needed a second DFAM for, I could simply do with a separate percussion sequencer. So I purchased a cheap RD-6 analog drum machine by Behringer on sale (that I paid around 80 €), which has the great feature of having 8 separate outputs (on for each percussion instrument) plus two Cv-Trigger tracks. I synchronised it with my DFAM and I now use it in two ways: 1. Either as a trigger sequencer that drives sounds produced by another synth (most analog synths can produce great-sounding bass drums, snare drums or hi-hats DFAM-like sounds). 2. Or as a direct source of percussive sounds that I then heavily process, so that they feel "at home" with the sounds of the DFAM. So far, the Voltage Processor and the Ring Modulator of my ARP 2600 clone have proven to be very good ressources for changing the slim RD-6 sounds into big, fat and textured DFAM-like sounds. Not the easiest workflow for sure, but for 1/10th of the price of a second DFAM, I will gladly make the extra effort ! Anyway, keep the great beats coming ! 👍
Thank you so much! Unfortunately I lost these Patches... Sometimes I start doing things and I don't stop to capture it in a Patch and then I regret not having done it🙂
Was so hyper to see that you released your dfam patchbook Is there a way for digital version (the printed version is sold out.. you BET it is 🤘😝) cheers!
@@jasontimpson8449 Hey! Thanks for the comment. Well, they are already in printing, so I hope they will be available at the end of the month or beginning of May at the latest. Hugs Jason

Really nice! Love the groove. Don't suppose you have the patch settings and dial settings for the one doing the main beat?
The book is sold out - is it possible to still get it?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What effects are you using? Awesome btw!
Hi, just reverb and delay from Ableton. Thanks!
