LOVE IT! As someone who grew up on the southern Oregon coast and as a 5th generation Oregon native, THANK YOU for showcasing some of my favorite places. My absolute favorite beach is Battle Rock, where my little brother and I spent countless hours of adventure!
Great video. Great perspective of our coast. I don't know when you will be back here. If you have not seen the windsurfers in Pistol River, it is great fun!! Thank you again. Look forward to your videos.
I appreciate all the tips! thank you so much! I'll probably be back next winterish, there's so many places and things to see and photograph and I ran out of time. I'll have to organize myself and plan ahead a bit more than what I did this year. Thanks again for all the support and help!
Our family is going soon, is there any way you could show the specific locations for the places you mentioned, like the secret beach and natural bridges? Can’t seem to find it on any maps.. Love the content!
I hope to see you all in Florence. I will wear a Circles in the Sand shirt to work tomorrow to advertise the labyrinth. I am sorry that I will miss it but I can encourage others to be there.😊
@@wollertz we’re here this week visiting fr nor cal, we were just wondering what beach would be best for beach combing w kids, we’re worried about sleeper/sneaker waves 🌊 are there any beaches that are pretty safe fr those? 😀😊😬
Thanks for this post. Very helpful information. Heading to the Oregon coast this week. Looking for hot spots for photography. Found a gang right here. Great video.

I just love your videos. Thanks for sharing. I will be taking a trip to Oregon next month and I’m so very excited to go to all of these places you have suggested. 🤙
Thank you so much! Im editing a video about Bandon, Im hoping to have it done by Sunday! I spent an amazing few days there'd I highly recommend a visit! Enjoy you're trip!!!
@@wollertz That’s where I’m going after Brookings 😁 I am a photographer as well not as good as you yet but your pictures and videos inspire me. So thank you and please do keep up the good work. It is beautiful 🤩
Beautiful video! I really want to get to some of these beaches this year. It's been far to long since our last trip. Great comentary for each beach. Ps..I'm so glad my husband ( Ken @ S O Auto Care)told me about your yt page. He's been raving about your photography and he was right.
Heading North 101. Winchuck River bridge. Take the 1st left after bridge(unmarked). No facilities, but great river and ocean access. Warm and calm, lots of treasures! Just got home to Sonoma Co.
That sounds like Ill have to do a special trip to go photograph! Whats a good lens for something like that? I have a 70-200 and a 100-400 I also have a 1.4 teleconverter that helps. Ive gone to shoot the Bald Eagles in Coeur d' Alene Idaho and even rented longer lenses, but they were so close to me that the 70-200 was more than enough.
It totally depends what you want in view, and how far out you want to hike, I find secret beach looks amazing with the sea stacks, Myers creek beach is also beautiful with no hike, but a lot of the Sea Stacks there are considered wildlife/wilderness areas or No Fly zone, for long sandy beaches, The dunes at pistol river are great
Found it, Its the backside of Secret Beach with out the beach access, been there many times, beautiful but notarially beach fromSecret beach at low tide Ive walked most of the way out there, and it is beautiful, but the official trail doesn't take you to the beach (as far as I know)
Theres a reef near Shore Acres, Simpson Reef and Shell Island, but it's not really a beach to hike or hang out, Theres a good viewpoint and lots of marine life hang out and live there. And all through the coast you can find rocks, and I think I know what you mean and yes I have seen lots of rocks with little holes.
Oregon beaches are hard to see reefs because the water is cold/wild, the shores are usually rocky, and the weather is usually stormy or cold there, so it's hard to see more than tide pools, a rare whale sighting, and sea lions.
Can’t say I’ve heard of Hell’s Kitchen, I know Devils kitchen in Bandon, but I’m not familiar with Hell’s Kitchen, I’ll have to look it up! Thanks for the tip!!

you can load them in google maps when you have service, there's also signs for most of the viewpoints along the way, Secret Beach and Natural Bridges are very close to each other about 11 miles north of Brookings, the parking lots are usually fairly busy and hard to miss, If you have All Trails hiking app, this can help you locate them. Remember to load the maps when you have service as a lot of the coast doesn't! Enjoy your trip!
thanks for the list!!! will definitely check these out when the weather gets warmer.

As to Whaleshead: the rock itself looks exactly like that. Stormy days, it surely spouts!
Thank you!
I didn’t realized it spouted happen until years after my first visit
I was there last September, will be back in Bandon in October, excellent fish n chips. love the coastline there.
Some day I'll head north and explore the north coast, But for now, the southern part is my favorite!!

@@wollertz Just south of Brookings. Also the Winchuck River road, to the east, is a delight. Great smooth rock formations inland.
@@wollertz You're a photographer! The rocks out The Winchuck River Rd are in a photo worthy environment. Great shadows through the trees.

How could you leave out Thunder Rock Cove? It's so otherworldly looking. & secluded.
