Excellent walk-through! I've been woodworking for almost 30 years and I still get anxious about drawers. I really enjoyed your technique. Thanks for the video.
Marie, can’t believe I came across your videos. We worked together at PMS . I just started getting into wood working and your videos are amazing! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Linda
Bonjour....very nice cabinet, video was well explained, easy to follow....My daughter recently moved from Point Calumet to downtown Montreal due to a breakup, she's worked at the SPCA for several years, now she can walk to work rather than take a bus and train, got to look at the positives right...Take care...stay safe...
MY goodness I have watched many videos on how to do this and your video has been the best one hands down. Thank for sharing this and making it look so easy to do
This video was the first 'of yours' that I have seen. My compliments to you, you're brilliant! Every step of the design and build was well thought out and executed. In short, I am deeply impressed!
Thanks for this video. I built my first drawer(s) this past week and you helped answer some of the questions I had regarding what dimensions to make may drawers.
The drawers themselves usually aren't the problem for me. It's those drawer faces that are the bane of my existence. I'll have plenty of practice soon with a whole slew of them to install in the workshop in the coming months.
Marie - you are so clear in your explanation of the process. I tried winging it and pretty much made every mistake (i.e. I fought gravity and gravity won lol). I really appreciate how you organize the build to be as efficient as possible. Plus I like how you explain the need for the reinforcements at the bottom and why the toe kick was needed (as a newbie, I never truly understood it but now I see it's there for added stability). Thank you for being so approachable and friendly and a great teacher!
I need to build something similar, only taller, for my shop. I store my power hand tools on open shelving and they are always covered in dust. This would help me keep them clean. Nice build. Thanks Marie!
A well deserved 100K subscribers. I saved this video for morning coffee time. I sympathise with the flat floor problem, our house is only 30 years old ! We live in Wales where little is flat and level: echoed by our floors. Maybe the builder was trying to emulate the local terrain ? ;-) But the location and view more than compensates for needing levellers and shims! Looking forward to the desk build.
I haven't found anything level or square in my house so far either, built in 1960s. Do our builders just prefer chaos? No topographic excuses, London is pretty flat. I'd much rather live among your hills.
Good timing I was just considering making a drawer cabinet for under the stairs, but with the depth of each drawer stepped to fit the space. Congratulations on 100k subs! Are you planning to mark the achievement? A plaque reveal? Livestream? Q&A?
Found your channel on Reddit. So I have been watching a lot of woodworking on RUclips, as I suspect lots of people who get the bug do in the beginning. Your channel is amazing and I can’t wait to steal some of your layout and designs for my garage shop. Great channel and great content.
I am a complete beginner and I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed and learned from your video! Two Questions though: 1) The video shows the top of the cabinet straddling the sides, and the bottom is "inside" the sides. Does this mean you have to cut the top and bottom separately? 2) I know that you want to "hide" the pocket holes inside the cabinet, but does screwing toward the edge of the board leave enough wood on the edge for a strong connection? Again, thanks for such a great video!
Clear, concise video, and it looks great! My hope is that one day I will be able to build a cabinet that quickly and easily! So many helpful hints! Thank you so much from this new woodworker!
Another great video Marie. And informative as well as practical. I hope to get out to the shop and make one of these as soon as the cold weather subsides. I really need more storage space.
You can also accurately measure the width of the front & back of the drawers by stacking both drawer slides and 2 off cuts of drawer side material against the inside face of one side of your cabinet and measure to the other side with a ruler or story stick. Would allow exact setting for stop block on Chop Saw without the need for the offset at the chop say you showed. There really is more than one way to "skin the cat" 😃
Really loke your videos even bought a couple sets of plans. Would love the plans for your Miter station with all the drawers as I see it in this video. Think you will be up grading the plans that you have how on your web site. Thanks keep up the great work you are doing
Very nice job. Really appreciate the time and effort it takes you to produce such excellent content. Your presentation was very well done and easy to follow. Building cabinets right now and this was an excellent refresher. Thank you so much and God Bless.
Un autre excellent vidéo !! As always, very detailed and well explained video. I recently joined your channel and I like very much what you do. You make it simple and easy to do. Thanks for your videos and for sharing your work.
Thanks for the great video. Would this set of drawers bear the weight of a desk top? I'm not sure if I'd need to go with 1inch lumber or if the 3/4 ply would be sufficient.
Beautiful work! It really looks fantastic! 😃 Yesterday I built my miter saw station with plywood... It wasn't that smooth though. 😂 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Great job!!! Thanks for finding and sharing the hanging file folder rails!!!! I have a question, I just upgraded my miter saw to a Bosch, 12" like yours, do you have plans for your dust hood? It looks great!!! Keep up the good work!!!
Get the plans here: bit.ly/drawercabinetplans
I now have a new found appreciation for DRRRRRAARRRSS ❤️❤️ love the video!
Excellent walk-through! I've been woodworking for almost 30 years and I still get anxious about drawers. I really enjoyed your technique. Thanks for the video.
This is the 6th drawer building instruction video I've watched in a row now. Best so far.
You've got skills!! Nice video!!
Marie, can’t believe I came across your videos. We worked together at PMS . I just started getting into wood working and your videos are amazing! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Linda
I recently made my own desk for the first time working with wood now I am going to make this drawer cabinet!
Very clear! The plastic tap thing 07:30 is what i was looking For. Thanks.
Using those 2 off cuts as a spacer from your stop block to get the perfect thickness was genius!

Always got to look for the silver lining... It's there somewhere.
Nice work! Verry good for people like me to learn building cabinets and drawers. GOD bless you !
Fantastic, clear explanation without the slightest bit of ambiguity. I’m giving it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

MY goodness I have watched many videos on how to do this and your video has been the best one hands down. Thank for sharing this and making it look so easy to do
DRAWRS.....love it.
you make woodworking appear so easy!
Oui, j'ai beaucoup aimé. Concevoir des tiroits vient me chercher. Je dois en faire pas mal pour mon workbench et ta vidéo tempère mes anxiétés. Merci!
Super! Contente d'entendre ça. Ça va bien aller, bonne chance!
This video was the first 'of yours' that I have seen. My compliments to you, you're brilliant! Every step of the design and build was well thought out and executed. In short, I am deeply impressed!
A very informative and well-presented video. Using the techniques demonstrated, I now know how to build cabinets and drawers for my hand tools etc.
Great step by step tutorial. Thanks.
Thank you!
Thanks for this video. I built my first drawer(s) this past week and you helped answer some of the questions I had regarding what dimensions to make may drawers.
I luv your videos! They are so inspiring and have the simplicity that moderately experienced woodworkers can do without breaking the bank. Thanks
The drawers themselves usually aren't the problem for me. It's those drawer faces that are the bane of my existence. I'll have plenty of practice soon with a whole slew of them to install in the workshop in the coming months.
Oh really? I feel like once I've reached the drawer fronts I'm in the home stretch, but just goes to show we all have our strengths and weaknesses 🤪

You make this look so easy and instructions are so simple
you really made this comprehensive and simple ty
OMG thank you. This is exactly the cabinet I'm looking to build!
I need to build something similar, only taller, for my shop. I store my power hand tools on open shelving and they are always covered in dust. This would help me keep them clean. Nice build. Thanks Marie!
Go for it! Thanks and enjoy the build :-)
Great tip on using the two pieces of cutoffs to get accurate drawer front/backs!
Thanks! Just passing along tips I learned from other makers 👍
Great video, and great teaching. I'm glad I found you. Great job. And good tips!!
Drawers are fun, I especially like cutting the dados for the bottom panel.
So satisfying

There sure is! 🙀 Great tip 👍
Que buen trabajo , saludos desde chile
Nice build, Marie. You simplified it but it is still rock solid (what? no hexagons?). Take care.
Bill
Haha! Fear not, hexagons will be back, I promise!
Great video. Thanks for explaining the details and even where you ordered the slides. Any advice on ordering good quality slow close slides?
Love this design, its always nice when those finishing touches bring a simple build to the next level. Great video 👏🏻
Thank you!
Hi Marie another great video👍😊
Thanks!
Looks great love it..
Great job!!!
I like the stop for your chop saw. Ever think about using a dado stack or look for an old 1/4 inch blade?
Very nice build. Congrats on 100k too!
Thank you so much 😊

Many thanks, always nice to hear positive feedback like this. I appreciate it!
Would be very interested to know how easily a cabinet like this can be set on casters so it can be easily moved at will.
Super easily! Just use small casters instead of the leveling feet installation I used.
Great video! Lee up the good work!
Thanks!
Thanks for the great video. Would this set of drawers bear the weight of a desk top? I'm not sure if I'd need to go with 1inch lumber or if the 3/4 ply would be sufficient.
Thanks!
Excelente trabajo saludos desde argentina 😊
Beautiful work! It really looks fantastic! 😃
Yesterday I built my miter saw station with plywood... It wasn't that smooth though. 😂
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you very much! Smooth or not, I'm sure that miter station will come in handy! Stay safe.
Beautiful drars
What did I say 🤷🏻♀️
I’m crying
Looks great Marie! I can't wait for the rest of the build series. :-)
Thanks
Great video, came here from reddit.
It's interesting, thanks!
You bet!
Great job!!! Thanks for finding and sharing the hanging file folder rails!!!! I have a question, I just upgraded my miter saw to a Bosch, 12" like yours, do you have plans for your dust hood? It looks great!!! Keep up the good work!!!
Great
Making drawers seems to be so intimidating. You most def made loads less. Grazie for the Vid!
