I love how Fred Armison basically shows up whenever SNL needs him in a sketch.
He prolly came back for Jenna this time.
And always as the offbeat character who doesn't belong.
The current cast members probably wonder why they’re not being used.

He is probably the owner of a producing company that offers support to snl in some way ...so him showing up is also good for business . Plus he was and important part on the show Wednesday so that also helps business.

@@formermpc10 I think it was improvised. There’s no way to tell for certain but Fred is well known for improvising to make his costars laugh. And Bowen’s sputtering sounds like he didn’t expect it.
How excited Fred sounded when he said, "Let's see if we have a picture of our parents that was ripped in half to see if we're twins!" had me laughing lol

1) Joan Cusack and John Cusack are siblings, not twins. Joan is about 4 years older than John.
2) Demi Moore and Dudley Moore are completely unrelated. Dudley Moore was 27 yo when Demi Moore was born. Moore is not Demi's birth name, but the name of her 1st husband that she uses professionally.

I would absolutely watch the hell out of a Fred Armisen parent trap reboot. Also, now as an adult, I have a huge problem with The Parent Trap. How the hell did it take them that long to figure out they're twins? I'm pretty sure the average child would have figured it out the moment they came across someone who looks EXACTLY like them. This isn't a case of people thinking you look alike, but you don't really see it. They're IDENTICAL.
Hallie was in denial. Annie said they look the same immediately, and Hallie decided since she didn't like her she'd just use that as an opportunity to insult her looks.

Does The Parent Trap need to be remade when it was already a remake? Then again, with how many times franchises like Batman, Superman, Planet Of The Apes, James Bond, & Christmas Carol have been remade on top of multiple animated Disney films being turned live action I wouldn't be surprised if Disney decided to remake this film with Lohan as the mom.
I’d kind of prefer a sequel where the girls realize they actually need therapy.

I like that they just accept the substitute's improvisations. It both makes sense that they'd give up trying to correct him, since it _would_ end up cut anyway, and it lets the sketch keep momentum in the back half without interrupting with corrections, allowing for more time spent on jokes.

The "Is this for streaming" joke deserved more of a reaction. Great skit. Anyone else here old enough to have grown up watching the original Hayley Mills version? It was released 20+ years before my birth, but it's a classic.

Swear this is true, I watch HBO,Tubi, Showtime, etc, and Fred Armison shows up in so many movies. It’s a trip! Some older ones have bit parts but he’s been doing this a long time. Love him.
