The Spider-Man with MJ looks amazing. I don't normally care for toe articulation, but like you said: It works for Spider-man. The pinless joints, the bigger eyes, the simpler web pattern, open hands... It's all awesome! Hopefully he can bend his elbows more than the Retro Spider-Man figure.

Easily the best Legends spider-man so far. Just lousy that it’s exclusive to a 2 pack as it likely won’t be easy to find. As it is, that Silk is a big want for me, but that 2 pack sold out on pre orders FAST. I’m also dreading the price tag for that Knull pack. Also, they just need to make a resculpted elbow piece to give enough room to allow for the elbow to bend further, or just reuse arms that do have full bend range already.

Not sure if they'll sell this particular figure by itself, though. Hasbro's greedy. So Hasbro moves prices near $30 a figure for both Legends and GI Joe Classified...yet the smaller Mcfarlane company keeps prices at $20 for 7” figures.
Their use of the word "fantastic" when handling the lab coat makes me feel like it's for a new Reed Richards, but it also could've been a deliberate red herring.🤔
That new packaging sucks hard. I'm not a carded collector and I don't even collect Legends religiously, but that design choice is just really strange. Not only are you risking repack issues, but finding figures that don't have obvious paint app flaws just became impossible.

Toad definitely wasn't what I was expecting in terms of design, and honestly I think he looks a bit out of place with the rest of that line's style so far. Still, it does look good and very poseable and definitely matches that particular comic art. I'd only get that figure if it went on discount, which I think there's a chance it will given the price and obscurity of the character to certain people. Whilst I get the whole 3 Spider-Men delay thing, I do find it a bit strange that we haven't got the No Way Home villains yet, seeing as all their designs were present in the marketing for the film prior to its release. The whole new box thing I don't hugely mind, it's better for the environment and I already order so much online as is without seeing the figure in hand prior, heck I just got the symbiote Spider-Man this morning and he's got a bit of sloppiness to the eyes but I don't hugely mind. Still, you raised some very fair concerns. The new Venom looks good but it's an easy skip for me, I'm still happy with the single release Monster Venom, his size and mass adds a lot of presence to my Spidey villains display. I think if I were to ever replace that it'd maybe be with a McFarlane style Venom on the Omega Red body, that I'd love to see. Plus Knull doesn't interest me, I'm sticking strictly to classic Spider-Man villains. The Spider-Man and Spinneret were definitely the highlight for me. I don't like to buy doubles of characters anymore, it just helps save money, but the toe joints, pinless limbs, extra hands and the unmasked Peter head are all things that were lacking on the retro version. The masked head is a bit off to me, it's a bit too modern for my liking and I wish the blue and red were really bright, almost Web Man bright. Those colours and a different head would make that figure the perfect classic Spidey for me, but I get they weren't going for that. Spinneret looks great too, really well articulated body and that'll be a fun display as it's own thing. Also seeing that 2-pack gives me hope for more characters based on one-off Spider-Man stories, I'd love a Kraven Venom and old man Spider-Man from Spider-Man: Life Story. The Lizard I was expecting to go various directions, the slimmer smaller body with the classic head was one of the ways I imagined them going and I think for that it looks good, the classic head sculpt may be the way I go. The more standard head looks good too, but I was hoping for a McFarlane style Lizard, that's the image that pops into my brain when I think of that character, and whilst the body doesn't match I wish the head sculpt at least reflected that. Still, I'm glad he's not bigger since I'm limited for space as is, so I'm actually glad that I can squeeze him into my Spider-Man villains display, having him as big as Rhino, Kingpin or Venom I think would've been too much. I did notice the multiple Apocalypses and Morphs behind Dan, so I'm thinking there's our next VHS X-Men reveals.
I do believe that Spider-man Noir does have double jointed knees. It's had to see because of the shades and abundance of black but if you squint you can see the cut in between the seem on the boot and the knee pad thing. But that was something that scared me for a second!! Great Video Robo!!!

He was so happy to have sold it for such a good price. He got it professionally packed and sent with 1st class. He even put a “Thank You” card in the box. Then the guy said it was damaged, so gave him a refund on the return. He later looked in the return box to see what the damage was. There was nothing in the box except the empty Spider-man 2 package and an MCU Captain America head. He flipped out. I've never seen him that mad before. It really hurt his faith in humanity. Makes me mad thinking about it...

Yeah I honestly think this will end my collecting. I never open the boxes so seeing them in the box through the window is my joy and this will just rip that away. Plus I will sit there and look at ten figures to find the perfect one because there are way more mistakes that I see than near perfection. Man this sucks. I was so close to getting all the 90s xteams and New Warriors. Do we know if Speedball and Siryn will still have the plastic windows? I already ordered them so I need to figure out if I need to cancel them.
I love the amazing fantasy spiderman mold so much. Its slimmer and less toned how i prefer my spidermen. Hopefully we also get a red and blue on that mold
That explains why it's an exclusive. That was my biggest question, why the flipping frigging heck was a brand-new sculpt a Target exclusive? Why waste the tooling cost on such a limited release? Answer: It's not a new sculpt, it's a heavy remold.

Went ahead and got the Iron-Spider, Amazing Fantasy Spider-Man, the Knull/Venom pack, and the Spider-Man/Spinneret pack. Silk and Otto are still sold out so I hope that restock is coming soon. As much as I wanted Noir he wasn't even posted at 1 and due to work I missed him.
Totally understand the change in packaging as it will cut out the plastic which is the more challenging recycle compared to the flat cardboard but not being able to “see” the actual product ahead of opening and the “how will it hang on a peg” are both worth exploring. Maybe they sell so fast how they are presented matters less then ever before?

I have a core class Shockwave with an open window as well as Legacy Voyager class Autobot Blaster that I felt good about buying because I could actually see the accessories safe and secured to the inside of the box.
Pre orders just went up. Grabbed myself the spiderman 2 pack, the venom 2 pack and a first appearance spidey. Was thinking about the Peter ned pack but I think I might be able to find that one closer to release.

I got most of my Spidey preorders in at GameStop. Couple bucks less than BBTS, got me the free shipping, got me the points, bam, I'm set. I spent three hours reloading my streams to get that Target link for Spider-Man Noir. But I got it in. Now hopefully they won't cancel it on me, because I pre-paid with PayPal. I wish Future Foundation Spidey and Iron Spider were made with The Better Articulation rather than the dated waist-swivel, ab-crunch style. And it's weird getting all these Spider-Mans and... they all have a different accessory spread? Why don't they all have the hand spread that Amazing Fantasy Spidey gets, especially at these prices? Especially Renew Your Vows Spidey. I REALLY hope AF Spidey and RNV Spidey have the same red plastic because I'm definitely giving RNV Spidey those grip hands. And... still waiting on a new Scarlet Spider built on the new Spidey buck, with a waist-crunch, hip-ball torso. Sigh.

I agree with you that this set of reveals had a lot of "I didn't know I needed this, but now i do". I'm ok with the new box design for online shopping but instore......i'm not so sure. Those are just waiting to be hit with swaps. the Peter/Ned 2 pack will be great for ACBA and using those unmasked Power Ranger heads. I might be in the minority but the pins never really bothered me. I can see pinless being great for Spidey but aside from him I'm ok with them. About the only one I'm not super excited for is Knull but thats only because I don't know anything about him but he can fit great with Mythic Legions or something.
Knull is the interdimensional AllFather of the symbiotes. His name is a play on the term "Null&void" since he is from the deep dark dimension inside the void. I'm a classics guy, however I just learned this myself, and thought it was most curious.

I hate that there’s no window. I don’t open my figures so there’s no way for me to enjoy my haul. It’s not the same thrill when it doesn’t have a window just like with the Skrull and Shields army builder… I might back off because what’s the point.
I’m pretty sad that I missed out on the Doc Ock 2 pack… I need to sign up for something that notify me when they drop so I don’t miss cause I was lucky I saw today was the drop date for the Spider-Man figures. A few were sold out in 10 minutes. Now I don’t know whether to just buy the single Doc Ock figure from the after market.
14:24 My only "criticism" is the softer less defined musculature of the sculpt will be off-model to most other figures that utilize the "painted muscles" sculpt of older tools.
The only one that I ordered so far is the Renew Your Vows pack. I get price increases, but these are too much for me. There are other lines with unique sculpting and paint apps that didn't take this big of a jump that I collect and frankly I've got too many legends as it is. The only reason I even did the Vows pack was because of the toes and pinless limbs, but even with that I am considering canceling since i have the retro card version. The Venom pack I may get on sale, but otherwise I think I am finally starting to trim Legends out of my collection habit. I didn't consider the lab coat was for Beast. That makes the most sense. Soft goods coat, probably a reuse of the calm head from the gray Beast painted blue. They can reuse the flasks from the Lizard. I don't think they will give us a new head given how things have been, but you never know.

With the prices behind these beautiful toys and closed box packaging, I will miss a lot of these figures. also, exclusive basically means ebay. toad is too clean and pretty to be the "toad". Spider-Man first appearance is the only reveal I'm very sure of getting. .

Closed boxes are horrible. You can't see if paints bad or broken/cracked plastic, but also it's a swampers paradise. Can't wait to see how many people get eternal figures when it's supposed to be Spider-Man lol..or a nice paper weight in the box.
The new packaging is going where the current packaging is going to go straight to the recycling bin, but I do see it as a problem but the more earth friendly the better.
Their is way too many negatives with the windowless boxes. One being for people that collector mint in box. I'm both a double mint and open collector for characters I like & feel are gonna be rare as time goes on like tiger stripe & brown suit wolverine, Jim lee cyclops, psylocke & mystique. It would look kind of dumb to display a windowless figure now. Also how is the new packaging gonna make up for the Windows were they put small hole on the edges so air & paint fumes can escape the box so the chemicals don't turn the plastic yellow eventually or make it feel all oily if you ever decide to remove it much later? Plus it just seem like a easy way to get scam in store or online when these windowless figure ever go up in price. Couldn't someone just replace the figure with random figure folder at home than return it at the store for a another figure with the identical price aka a 2 for the price of 1 or get a refund now that they feel like your buying a loot box instead of the figure advertised?i have so many fears with the windowless packages plus those nee legends prices woof🤦😭. I think most people were expecting a lee\kirby era toad instead of a 90's lee\liefeld era toad but I'm cool with it.
The lab coat could be for an updated Bruce Banner figure, with the She-Hulk show coming out this year...although I would take either an MCU or comic version

The Marvel Legends team revealed a diverse selection of figures that each seemed to cater toward particular fans/collectors from different versions of the comics or MCU films. I would even say they had an amazing selection (pardon the pun) of their 2 packs especially the Renew Your Vows Spidey and MJ Spinneret. It's the only 2-pack I'm very interested in picking up if it wasn't for the Hasbro price increase resulting $55 instead of the previous $40 like their other packs. Not a bad deal for getting two figures with multiple articulation points, additional head swaps and having a redeco of a hard to find retro Spider-Man figure with better articulation included. Just wish they didn't hike up their figure prices since I'm currently collecting Gi Joe Classified figures before getting too expensive.

I’m already over the packaging issue. They know we’re still going to buy, but more orders are going to be online, not retail, now. Not sure why they can’t do more TF open window packaging? maybe because the heads pop off almost too easily? FortNite is the best option, minimal window, but it still hides most of the contents. Might be why they aren’t moving around here? (Dan Larson has other thoughts on this issue. 🙄) I am hoping for a w2 of L&T with Zeus, Sif (Jamie rumored to return), and Warriors Three. Also, NWH w2 should include Norman, Otto, Max, May, Lizard BAF. Not just 3Peters. Oh, and I’m glad that Lizard comes with two heads, as I never saw Lasher for the last BAF. 🙄 I was going to get that Bat-Venom, just need the wings for a 2099 custom. 2pk for $80 = HARD PASS. Yes. TF open window makes more sense. Although, even that line has windowless boxes for the bigger toys ie; commander class, leader class, and Titan class.

I read that a pre order isn’t a guarantee and just a hold, and that got me kinda nervous even tho I’m sure that’s true for every site, plus I probably got nothing to worry about cause I preordered on the day they launched them but still just wanna hear y’all opinions since I’ve never ordered there

I love the amazing fantasy spiderman mold so much. Its slimmer and less toned how i prefer my spidermen. Hopefully we also get a red and blue on that mold

That explains why it's an exclusive. That was my biggest question, why the flipping frigging heck was a brand-new sculpt a Target exclusive? Why waste the tooling cost on such a limited release? Answer: It's not a new sculpt, it's a heavy remold.

If they put articulation on baby Yoda, they damn well can and should do it on Spider Ham. They are just being lazy and keeping costs down by not adding the articulation.
They are being even cheaper by just doing the same Spider-Ham from the Spider-Qwen figure. I thought it would at least be different. I'd rather they just leave him out. This is just not a $30 figure. I'll do without it.

Went ahead and got the Iron-Spider, Amazing Fantasy Spider-Man, the Knull/Venom pack, and the Spider-Man/Spinneret pack. Silk and Otto are still sold out so I hope that restock is coming soon. As much as I wanted Noir he wasn't even posted at 1 and due to work I missed him.
Totally understand the change in packaging as it will cut out the plastic which is the more challenging recycle compared to the flat cardboard but not being able to “see” the actual product ahead of opening and the “how will it hang on a peg” are both worth exploring.
Maybe they sell so fast how they are presented matters less then ever before?
They should cut a small window to show the face at least. All about them getting rid of plastic though.
@@sheaparkersp That's exactly what I was going to say. As a matter of fact, Hasbro already does this in their Transformers line. I have a core class Shockwave with an open window as well as Legacy Voyager class Autobot Blaster that I felt good about buying because I could actually see the accessories safe and secured to the inside of the box.
Pre orders just went up. Grabbed myself the spiderman 2 pack, the venom 2 pack and a first appearance spidey. Was thinking about the Peter ned pack but I think I might be able to find that one closer to release.

I spent three hours reloading my streams to get that Target link for Spider-Man Noir. But I got it in. Now hopefully they won't cancel it on me, because I pre-paid with PayPal.
I wish Future Foundation Spidey and Iron Spider were made with The Better Articulation rather than the dated waist-swivel, ab-crunch style. And it's weird getting all these Spider-Mans and... they all have a different accessory spread? Why don't they all have the hand spread that Amazing Fantasy Spidey gets, especially at these prices? Especially Renew Your Vows Spidey. I REALLY hope AF Spidey and RNV Spidey have the same red plastic because I'm definitely giving RNV Spidey those grip hands.
And... still waiting on a new Scarlet Spider built on the new Spidey buck, with a waist-crunch, hip-ball torso.

I agree with you that this set of reveals had a lot of "I didn't know I needed this, but now i do". I'm ok with the new box design for online shopping but instore......i'm not so sure. Those are just waiting to be hit with swaps. the Peter/Ned 2 pack will be great for ACBA and using those unmasked Power Ranger heads. I might be in the minority but the pins never really bothered me. I can see pinless being great for Spidey but aside from him I'm ok with them. About the only one I'm not super excited for is Knull but thats only because I don't know anything about him but he can fit great with Mythic Legions or something.

I’m pretty sad that I missed out on the Doc Ock 2 pack… I need to sign up for something that notify me when they drop so I don’t miss cause I was lucky I saw today was the drop date for the Spider-Man figures. A few were sold out in 10 minutes.
Now I don’t know whether to just buy the single Doc Ock figure from the after market.
Noir's reusing the upper legs and knees from the What If? Star Lord T'Challa. That's why his knees look kinda weird.
I wish the amazing fantasy spiderman came in either the retro packaging of spiderman or toybiz. That would have sold it for me 🙁
14:24 My only "criticism" is the softer less defined musculature of the sculpt will be off-model to most other figures that utilize the "painted muscles" sculpt of older tools.
The only one that I ordered so far is the Renew Your Vows pack. I get price increases, but these are too much for me. There are other lines with unique sculpting and paint apps that didn't take this big of a jump that I collect and frankly I've got too many legends as it is. The only reason I even did the Vows pack was because of the toes and pinless limbs, but even with that I am considering canceling since i have the retro card version. The Venom pack I may get on sale, but otherwise I think I am finally starting to trim Legends out of my collection habit.
I didn't consider the lab coat was for Beast. That makes the most sense. Soft goods coat, probably a reuse of the calm head from the gray Beast painted blue. They can reuse the flasks from the Lizard. I don't think they will give us a new head given how things have been, but you never know.
2-pack Spidey looks so good but didn’t get it. Looking forward to acquiring that retro Lizard though. Good showing this week

toad is too clean and pretty to be the "toad". Spider-Man first appearance is the only reveal I'm very sure of getting.

Closed boxes are horrible. You can't see if paints bad or broken/cracked plastic, but also it's a swampers paradise. Can't wait to see how many people get eternal figures when it's supposed to be Spider-Man lol..or a nice paper weight in the box.

Their is way too many negatives with the windowless boxes. One being for people that collector mint in box. I'm both a double mint and open collector for characters I like & feel are gonna be rare as time goes on like tiger stripe & brown suit wolverine, Jim lee cyclops, psylocke & mystique. It would look kind of dumb to display a windowless figure now. Also how is the new packaging gonna make up for the Windows were they put small hole on the edges so air & paint fumes can escape the box so the chemicals don't turn the plastic yellow eventually or make it feel all oily if you ever decide to remove it much later? Plus it just seem like a easy way to get scam in store or online when these windowless figure ever go up in price. Couldn't someone just replace the figure with random figure folder at home than return it at the store for a another figure with the identical price aka a 2 for the price of 1 or get a refund now that they feel like your buying a loot box instead of the figure advertised?i have so many fears with the windowless packages plus those nee legends prices woof🤦😭. I think most people were expecting a lee\kirby era toad instead of a 90's lee\liefeld era toad but I'm cool with it.
The lab coat could be for an updated Bruce Banner figure, with the She-Hulk show coming out this year...although I would take either an MCU or comic version

Some incredible looking figs. For me Lizard is the highlight but man some of those Spidey figs. Knull I know hardly anything about but what a figure.
The Marvel Legends team revealed a diverse selection of figures that each seemed to cater toward particular fans/collectors from different versions of the comics or MCU films. I would even say they had an amazing selection (pardon the pun) of their 2 packs especially the Renew Your Vows Spidey and MJ Spinneret. It's the only 2-pack I'm very interested in picking up if it wasn't for the Hasbro price increase resulting $55 instead of the previous $40 like their other packs. Not a bad deal for getting two figures with multiple articulation points, additional head swaps and having a redeco of a hard to find retro Spider-Man figure with better articulation included. Just wish they didn't hike up their figure prices since I'm currently collecting Gi Joe Classified figures before getting too expensive.

Not sure why they can’t do more TF open window packaging? maybe because the heads pop off almost too easily? FortNite is the best option, minimal window, but it still hides most of the contents. Might be why they aren’t moving around here? (Dan Larson has other thoughts on this issue. 🙄)

Yes. TF open window makes more sense. Although, even that line has windowless boxes for the bigger toys ie; commander class, leader class, and Titan class.
I'll definitely be getting Noir, and getting and extra ham is nice because my niece will enjoy it. 🙂

I preordered the Amazing Fantasy Spidey, I would’ve done it on Amazon but missed out on it, so I got from Dorkside, never ordered, let alone preordered, there, how good are they with things like that? I read that a pre order isn’t a guarantee and just a hold, and that got me kinda nervous even tho I’m sure that’s true for every site, plus I probably got nothing to worry about cause I preordered on the day they launched them but still just wanna hear y’all opinions since I’ve never ordered there
