Former competitive dancer here! Allie would likely do well in a ballet company. I can tell from her splits and her arches that she's got the build for it and the drive. Dance is such a great art form that teaches discipline, creativity, and athleticism. It would open doors for her in the future.

Eight's a good age to get it done. She's old enough to decide for herself and have the responsibility of being careful with them. I wasn't allowed until I was 16, but that was a long time ago lol.
This was so sweet, Ellie is a trooper, she didn’t even make a sound when her ears were getting pierced good on her. I hope Ali is going to do real ballet classes, because I think she will gain so much more confidence in being in a proper classroom environment, meet new friends, and there’s nothing. more beneficial than having a properly trained ballet instructor to teach her. DVDs are good to an extent, but nothing beats that classroom experience.

I'm so glad Allie had a good experience with getting her ears pierced! My first time getting my ears pierced was a disaster. They got infected right after the piercing and we ended up letting the holes close. I got them pierced again a few years later and it went a lot better, but the first time was traumatic!
