What a wondrous time to pick up Shield Hero, season 2 has been announced for 2021 so you'll have something looking forward to.
Shield Hero is a surprisingly old story, it was part of the second wave of Isekai written straight after SAO's success. Shield Hero actually has some easter eggs for that and even other older Isekai. It was originally written in 2012, IIRC, and it's a monumental piece in terms of length. The light novel version of the original web novels is still ongoing, actually. The 2012 date is also might seem curious given what Naofumi was framed for and how. The author is a woman, btw.
Fun fact: Ren Amaki’s (the sword hero) Japanese voice actor is Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, the same person who voices Kirito from Sword Art Online.
Apparently the authors didn’t realize that they accidentally made Ren a serious parody of Kirito until it was pointed out to them. The crazier thing was that Ren’s VA was not purposeful chosen to be Ren just because he voices Kirito also.

What I love about this show is the relatability of the main character. There are so many people who are ignored and ill-treated by the world because they're angry, their anger is used as a justification for why they can be ignored and treated like trash, when often it's the worlds fault that the person is like that, and it's that very treatment that is perpetuating it. It's just a sick justification for people to not care.
When people are angry, they're probably angry for a reason, and you should listen to that reason.

Shield Hero has one of the best pilot episodes of all anime, with the series being quite great from here.

this is such a good anime that I've probably watched all 24 episodes about seven or eight times. First anime where I actually read the online light novel, so you guys are in for a treat. The characters, the revelations of these weapons abilities, and the politics and plots. Glad to see you guys watching this one too. Have fuuuunnnnnn XD Oh and non-spoiler, Naofumi enjoyed reading light novels about going to another worlds that are game like. The other heroes however liked to play games in their own versions of Japan, thus why Naofumi isn't familiar with the World he's been summoned to unlike these other 3 guys. So instead of a gamer-nerd Naofumi could be called a bookworm maybe? It's probably because in his "World" people value/enjoy reading more than our own "World" and the other 3 heroes.
I'm looking forward on wht intros/ special effect ur gonna show us this time

Nobody in this country likes the MC.. not a spoiler, just keep in mind "Almost no one likes the MC" when they treat him badly, becuz it won't get explained for a long while and lots of people drop the series after the first episode becuz of that reason.
