If you've studied music theory you will (sadly) realise that all songs (like 99.9%) after 1900 are actually from a music theory perspective quite primitive. Basically, it's a chord progression and a melody in that key, and that includes bands such as Pink Floyd, Queen, The Beatles, Nirvana... These songs were not hard to compose, they are just highly rated and deemed "masterly perfect" because it has gained that status in culture. Actually, we can go back to Mozart as his works are actually quite easy to compose. The only one who is popular and actually had difficult and genius composing is Bach. But does the fact that a beautiful song was easy to compose make it less valuable? Absolutely not. The effects of music should be measured by just that, the effects. The artists have tied great emotion into it and we listeners have beautiful emotions triggered by it, and that fact should not be undermined because of music theory, I can say with certainty while being music theorist myself.
