I am forever grateful for God allowing me to have a forgiving heart. When I feel as if an injustice has overwhelmed me, I might let it bother me for a little while and have been known to use my tongue as a weapon He has given me a heart to forgive and forget so I am eternally thankful and grateful for HIs mercy and grace.

Thank you for keeping God's heart in these discussions. We as humans are fallible and often wrong. I thought that this was wanting the ones who inflicted such horrors on your loved ones to feel the pain they inflicted, but this is why Vengeance is Mine, says the Lord is right.

@@Alan-zj5fz I too have suffered much at the hands of uncaring, hateful people....Jesus relayed this prayer to me and I have found much comfort and healing from keeping my heart and mind focused on it.

Psalm 62:8 tells us to pour out our hearts to God; it is not surprising to see many Psalms doing just that. How are we going to get comfort from the Lord if we do not tell Him everything we think and feel? Jesus told us to go into our closets or inner rooms (someplace we can't be overheard) to pray. Sounds like good advise when we need to say something to Him others would surely misinterpret, considering all the rules about what one should or should not say to God. The Psalms reveal that to be so many mere human rules.

Thank you for covering this topic.
The book of Psalms turned me off knowing the imprecatory psalms are in it.
Giving the historical background behind the imprecatory psalms really really helped me to no longer be offended by them.
When Jesus was going to the cross he noticed some women weeping for him, but what did he say?
“Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep for yourselves and for your children. For the time will come when you will say, ‘Blessed are the childless women, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!’ Then “‘they will say to the mountains, “Fall on us!” and to the hills, “Cover us!”’
For if people do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?”
Jesus knew that atrocities were heading to Israel. He knew Israel would be dry = worse than it was while Jesus was there when they crucified their Messiah.
Having the historical background for really rough statements brings so much clarity.
Thank you for bringing that clarity to the book of Psalms.

I would please like an episode on Judges 19 and the account of the daughter and the concubine offered up to be abused and the events following it. As a young woman, this has to be one of the most difficult passages that I’ve encountered and I would appreciate your input on it. Thank you for this series, God bless you 🙏

God & Christ are the 'ultimate' seer. They see the future and use the past against the wicked. Mortals admire this ability and accept it with joy. problem being, Sataan can do it also but instead against the righteous. Fortunately we who have faith and believe and have confessed are 'sealed'
