Hey everyone welcome back to another video today. I am super excited to be taking a look at this coachman RV this is the cross trail 20 CB what I love about this motorhome is that it drives just like a class B camper van… But it is technically a class C motorhome, which makes it super spacious on the inside .
I know if you’re in the market for something small and easy to drive then you will love this motorhome - Авто/Мото
If they eliminate the jump seat, move the entry door forward to that spot and then extend the kitchen counter two feet longer to where the door was, it would be ideal.
Not my favorite. But ❤ you both. Front Seats don't turn. Get rid of jump seat. Hate the sink. Small cabinet sucks. Get rid of it put in bigger sink. Step too. Toilet a nono. Get smaller sink in bathroom then toilet can be moved over some.
Agree. Jump seat isn’t necessary. And compared to a Class B, I’d rather have this if I was single or for a couple.
I agree, I do not like the jump seats either. It could be extra storage and counter space.
Get rid of the absurd J lounge and put in dual recliners. Everything sucks with just a dinette.
So very true
😊😊😊😊😊😊
Just a little note. Its a 12 volt compressor fridge not 3 way. You can tell by the lack of absorption fins inside the fridge portion
That is a Fantastic price point for a Ford Transit AWD B+. The best feature of this motorhome is the fact that not only does it have the fixed corner bed but it also has the overcab bed and most other brands built on the transit dont! Not to mention the real full bath vs. a wet bath. Wow
Love you guys but please understand, the step is there to fit the plumbing and tanks. In many cases you get internal pipes that are less likely to freeze in cold weather. So that step is actually a good thing!
The 9:20 mark shows a sole seat with limited function - except just to sit - feels like the interior designers were lazy. I get the feeling, after watching Matt's European RV reviews, European designers would have found 2-5 extra functions in that space. With every inch of space needed in an RV, that seems to be a waste of a good space.
So much storage for a small rig! It's not perfect, but I'd be happy with it!
I have one of these. I absolutely love it. Ditched my Class A so we could be more mobile. Seems like a lot of folks missed the AWD part and why that is awesome..I live in a mountainous area. In the winter, the passes, which are our only escape to someplace drier and warmer, get "chains required " frequently. With AWD and approved traction tires, I get to cruise on through (putting chains on motor homes sucks). We use it to a hundred times more than we did the class A because you just grab it and go. It is awesome for day trips and cross country adventures. My daily is a high roof ecoboost transit van so all the controls are familiar. My wife sleeps in the corner bed with one dog. The other dog and I use the dinette...mine has a Ceramic toilet and because of it's position I get to poop with the door open🤘
I like the layout, nice living space for the size, and I like no slide-out. The corner cabinet in the is great idea, better space use with the cabinet than open counter space. Step up would trip me too but you do learn to get use to those things. What you get for the price can't be beat.
what are the negatives wit slide-outs ?
@@stevetassallo1069 More moving parts to brake, possible for leaks,etc...
My first RV was a 20CB. I loved that the handling and was able to drive it everywhere. I hated the corner bed, but overall it was a great starter RV. I now have a nice size C with plenty of room.
it is a class C already... I have this same floorplan in my Winnebago View, but a slideout but Matt calls them B+ the corner bed is never a problem for Us
I love my corner bed. As a matter of fact I shopped for. I piled mine up with quilts and body pillows to get through the Buffalo winter 👍🏻. Bought mine at General in Tampa and Matt was on scene to congratulate me 😜
I feel comfortable driving it also.
I agree with Andrea about the kitchen... I would rather loose that little cabinet and have more counter space with a reg size single sink. I hate the bar sink
Really impressed with how they used the space even having that extra jump seat
NOTE to Coachmen:
🙏 Please save money by not using decals/graphics/multiple colors of paint.
If this was a solid color, a white, black, or silver, it would meet the stealth camping side of #vanlife that would make these sell more.
I'd buy a plain looking version.
You guys are just fabulous on being the best not too long thorough reviews possible giving some questions to the salesperson which they need...Andrea, I so get it, ( have some chronic stuff), it is just like when a twist back thing is so...darn tough..I do beleive there are going to be more and more things for the second half of our lives helping us all with these twists and turns that cause an ouch "bigly"and you are the most lovely co-host...another darling outfit and I wish I had looked that gorgeous in an outfit like that when I was your age. As time mosies along,,,I am aiming for more and more bougie like Becky spilled the beans with Matt. But I still want one and too most of the time have narrowed down to a B or B plus C...and it is incredible to me how Coachman is hitting it out of the ballpark and they are still most affordable new...what I love about this size and layout are the great nieces and nephews...meeting at family rendezvous and one or two can sleep with you on the bunk and then back to mom and dad's and you the owner if solo have the PERFECT size bed for a camper..I might even turn my head faced to check which is easiest with the back to bail to the potte' as it were. I love comfy chairs in them BUT,,a table with little ones and doing fun projects together on a rainy day as Matt says pulling it out with pillows you can make a comfy spot and I plan on one of those astronaut relax foldable chairs to fit inside or out...Matt was so sweet checking on you and wowza...pretty in pink Andrea and Matt..it is a tough toss up on the B or B plus. I guess for the all road thing you rent an truck and camper top and for when you want ultra Glam...if you have it...you have and store or rent or buy a Behemoth for these uber elegant places or temp full time...and then oh my,,,,,,,,Idea: wonder if some kind of handle planned between bath and closet or even fold out kid and puppy thing can help with that step...all of us could wipe out there a lot.
OH MY!! My 2011 21QB is still in the shop not getting fixed. I've seen nothing to rival it for my needs. Outside storage, perm bed and table ... I have the outside connection... Works well. Gas tank is locked with door. NICE! I WANT ONE
I don't like the bathroom door... 21QB is like a pocket door, can keep it open all the time and open the wardrobe door for quick stops on the road
I like the fact that it has at least one window and a fan in the upper bunk and the size is just right for a single person and someone who doesn't have much confidence, even tho I've never had a ticket. I "overthink" everything. However, it's on a Ford chassis so it's definitely not for me. But if I find a Chevy chassis with this body, I'm all in.
I just love watching you two..😊
THIS IS THE FIRST ONE THAT HAS ALL THAT I'D NEED! fridge/freezer too
I agree this is way more practical than a B van. Nice review!!
Thanks guys, enjoyed to tour!😃
You guys did this model about a year ago! I loved it then and love it even more now. This is a B van killa
My 21QB has bigger storage and the spare tire... My walker fits perfectly
I agree with you two. Thank you for sharing
Leisure travel vans on the ford chassis are the BEST, hands down 160,000
Seems only a couple of years ago the Matt price would have been in the 70s maybe high 60s for that thing.
Time to make America great again.
That nice little coach is still a better deal than any cab over camper you could buy. Not have to climb up to get in and not have to climb again to get in bed.
Like the J dinette.
Needs slam latch doors, wet bay, 12V fridge.
I like the j lounge, something only coachmen does asfaik. If you're going to put in a dinette let it convert to a couch. But I'm very suspicious of these slab sided overhead bunk B+s coachman makes. I passed a Freedom Elite last week on I25 in a 15-20mph crosswind and it was wobbling like a top. I couldn't believe the driver was still going, looked frightening.
Love their videos! TY!
Great review. I have a Coachman class c. I like this smaller size.
Hi Matt and abstract! For as small as it is I like the bed and the outside back storage and the refrigerator! My dislikes are the step leading to the bed and bathroom. The bed is nice but it might be hard to get out of it to go to the bathroom. That’s all my likes and dislikes. Thank you Matt and Andrea!
Here's something very few ever mention. MAKING that bed! If you put all the proper bedding on it, you have to do a gymnastic routine on the bed to get it done. I don't have this exact set up, but I do speak from experience.
Great video. Please make more!
I love that it is small but still sleeps more than 2 people. Love the storage and carrying capacity. Do not like the step up or plastic toilet. I can live with the sink.
I love the reviews but Matt is a funny guy. A natural comedian.
Guys!!! ❤ think I found our motorhomes!!! Is there a winter package for this or lift package? Love it!! Full timing here we come!!❤🎉🎉🎉
I never like that table by the eating area. I hate having to slide in and out and another thing that I don’t like is if you take the table down and you move it away and don’t use it that you have the what do you call it the hole still sticking up I would rather store a small table on top of the bed and just take it up and down when I want to use it. I just hate that so much I hate sliding in back.
First question, does this RV have seatbelts (other than driver and front passenger)? That wasn't mentioned.
As a solo traveler (with occasional children), I love this floorplan. I like that there is a permanent bed. I hate folding and Murphy beds. I like that there are no slides. The storage space is nice also.
If you back up to where the camera first looks inside, you can see a seatbelt hanging out of the dinette seating.
The small jump seat has seat belts along with seatbelts at the dinette.
It has 4 other seatbelts. One for the small seat and 3 for the dinette lounge. The table is removable and can be used to create another bed. I have one of these and love it 😀
Nice video! What features differences come with the higher priced models?
Great review, keep up the excellent work. Would you buy this or an Ekko?
Andrea you look beautiful. That’s a great color on you
No convection or oven. whomp whomp.
I like it!
Very very nice bathroom. ☺️👍
I need this ❤
“Good thing your athletic “😂
You guys are hilarious!
I like this one, however they can get rid of that useless over head bunker and that stove, give me a decent stove with a oven.
Like it all but the corner bed !
Like always great video’s guys 🇺🇸
Love it
The best tiny motorhome of 2023 is most definitely wingham oasis 540. 🎤
Thank you for sharing… I like it.. wha I don’t like… it’s Dark color interior, the options with bed ( I’ve wanted to put my own in one. And no conventional oven ( or at least a platform to bring in my conventional oven. So with that being said… can price be dropped??? Please let me know. Thank you
I like this rig. Coachman is usually good about fit and finish and I much prefer the Transit to Sprinter or Promaster.
Great OCCC for the size. Be careful folks because with some of these Bs and small Cs that extra storage space is useless because with two passengers and some water you’re already overweight.
except the front is not a 1 piece.will leak down the road and it is a class C
@@lutomson3496 Yes it is. And as I mentioned below it might be a bit underpowered for that very reason. I would guess that it’s considerably heavier than a class B and may do better with a larger engine. But I don’t know.
@@lutomson3496 How do you know it's not a one piece? Why will it leak if it's not a one piece?
@@randystuart938 look at the video it has seams on the sides not one piece and will leak later on ive been there
Good job with this video Matt and Andrea. I loved the unit until I saw the bed it would be difficult to get into and out of. There's that step again right in the traffic area which will be a hazard. Thanks again for sharing ya'll.
Class C is great to fire up the gen and heat food or use toilet while on the road
The BEST “tiny” motorhome is made in Canada . DEAN is the host of the channel … and he can sell a refrigerator and the service warranty to an Eskimo .
I’ll leave you to give d the brand …
Leisure
Agreed love the l dinette
I thought you’d go for the J lounge as a like. It’s quite nice.
I like the bunker yes. 😅
I like the fixed bed
👍👍Thank you! Thank you!👍👍💜🖤💜🖤💜🖤
Goodness the wood color. Stuck in the 80s.
Best price... Thank 😊
Do those wood cabinets get loose overtime from road vibrations?
i don't like that the outside storage doors open "up". ugh! a couple open down but, most open up! i don't know if there was any solar on the roof or, if there is a hook up for solar. would be nice if there was solar. i really like everything else about it. could the plastic toilet be changed out for a porcelain toilet?
It does come solar ready. You can add a solar panel. I use to own a 20CB and was told the toilet could be replaced with porcelain
There is a solar hook up by the front door.
I would want a little oven in there and at least one of the front seats should swivel. That little jump seat looks really uncomfortable… it could go. I have a 26’ with 2 slides and would love that size with the fixed bed… would trade in my red hawk AND tow vehicle, too!
There are several things I like but the negatives make it a non-starter. It almost seems like a waste of Azdel and I hope Coachmen reads the comments. Matt, you are correct vs B, but it is so much more than those few extra inched. In two words - outside storage, totally missing in true B Class. While this one is exceptional with space for e-bikes, Becky won't like this considering how outdoorsy she is, but my measure is foldable kayaks that are even more compact than inflatables. The yak will easily fit in the outdoor storage of virtually every B+/C, but in a B van that markets itself as supporting an active lifestyle, it will either be an obstacle laying in the open or consuming the limited interior space displacing other items such as clothing or food. I do like the J dinette that Coachman is famous for and if they swiveled those chairs together with the jump seat would make a great living area. Now the deal killer(s) - bed choices and where I hope Coachmen takes a critical look as they don't make a floorplan in eith er Transit or Sprinter chassis! No 1) corner bed, 2) single zone (either/or) murphy bed, or 3) folding mattress at waist level (knee level may be acceptable but not preferred) as each are deal killers more so than a plastic toilet that can/will be replaced! There is no floorplan for twin or dual zone murphy (separated dining/theater seating) and have to go to the Leprechaun for an open non-fold bed. Also while they are critically looking, start with the chassis. Seems like all the US manufacturers are stuck on the 156" wheelbase, presumably designed for the lower power of the prior generation Transit. Ford does make a 178 wheelbase Transit, which not only would provide more interior space, it is the only choice offered by their Canadian competition. Frankly, if they designed a new floorplan on the 178" WB vs the Sprinter 170" WB and paired with the more powerful 3.5L turbo AWD, they would have a Mercedes killer! I don't know how much more of a hint I can give!
Why do these UNITS NOT come with HID headlights as this is the standard on these vans! The option is only $300.00!
Mine did.
Would like to see if they already havent at least offer a privacy curtain around the rear bed
Does it have an a/c in the box?
Just perfect love 💕 that RV
Wow, this is a bang for your buck winner!
I wish I could afford this unit
What a nice little unit.
Cute cuddly.
Love the layout.
I'm not really into these mini campers or RVs, but, if "given" this unit, I would take it.
Quick Question.... Since you seem to no longer go up on the roof, why not invest a little, and get a drone.
You'll never climb up again, yet at the same time, we get to see it?
This one has no ladder.
Is this the only transit class c with a overhead bunk bed?
That looked more like a compressor fridge than a three way fridge.
I'm not sure where your based out of but when I am able to buy one of these... I'm coming to you.
08:15 calm down Matt haha
Dislikes
Window shades, jump seat behind passenger (put the door there and give more kitchen counter space, plastic toilet (outside TV).
Love
Under bed storage, no slides, less than 24’ long.
We’re done looking unless you review a Coach House Platinum 220TB. Biggest problem finding one to look at in person.
Matt, what brand of shorts are those that youre wearing? I've been looking for those everywhere cause theyre stretch material, aren't they? I can't find them in khaki, just black, and I don't like wearing black clothes in the summertime. Too hot. I'd love to own this Tiny Motorhome! PERFECT for whatever ails .
Does it have an air conditioner? I like it otherwise. However, I do not like the bed, being a bigger person. Does it have a tankless water heater?
We had a tankless water heater added to ours before we bought it.
Have you done a Regency Ultra Brougham?
That side jump seat would be more functional IF the dinette table extended to it.
Is a conventional oven optional?
Matt, your a fine figure of a man! You make me want to buy a motor home.😮😊, you know what I’m saying????😂.
Shoes off the brand new seats!!!!
what you can do wity the seat by the door is use to take off your muddy boots
Nice RV! I wonder if you can put a rooftop on it...
You could put up with much more discomfort and only have to pay another $100,000 or so. How do they sell B vans?
The refrigerator is big. LIKE
How tall are you and what is the interior height of each unit you review
The price!! That's way more than my house cost when I bought it.
Can you open the fuel door and fill it up with the driver’s door closed or does it need to stay open?
You open the door to open the fuel tank then u can close the door while u fill up your gas.
How are we handling the NO air conditioner? or did I miss it? I see 2 fans also, is that an Awing?
It has an ac unit. It keeps it nice and cold.
One dislike I have is that it needs to have a convection microwave.
Isn't there a model like that with a slide out?
I like this camper, and the kitchen! It’s maximizing storage space, but it needs storage over the dining table and the outside storage doors need proper slam latch locks, twisty locks on big doors looks cheap n cheesy. 🍻
I estimated the price at $135,000 before the MSRP reveal. I wasn't expecting to be _that_ close.
It's about time a shower has a little bar to hold bottles so you don't have to pack them up every time you drive!
Womp! Womp! Womp! This RV is loaded with dealbreakers for me such as the backbreaking dinette only floorplan with an impossible to make corner bed, a horrible TV position and a cheap plastic toilet and Dollar Store 4” fart fan😢😢😢
Sold!
Great compared with a van!
