I love your work. I have a suggestion for when you laminate in a high stress area like the top part of the slingshot. Drill a hole down through the tops and glue in some wood doweling, or brass pins for added strength.
All those laminations just make the contrast of the wood really pop. It couldn't have turned out any better.
Thanks man!
Your one of the people who helped get me into slingshots and because of making them I found a way to curve depression and anxiety keep it up
Very good DIY and look looking slingshot.
This guy can basically make a slingshot out of anything
Good video . you cut and stick many times for decoration ...that is nice idea .Thanks
Lucky to have a garage full of tools at your disposal. Nice slingshot
Love the texture
Nice laminated slingshot
Thanks!
Fantastic! You're going to have more subs than me here pretty soon, and you definitely deserve it! Great work, and it came out gorgeous!! I do have one concern though, are those tips only glued on? Because they are going to be taking the full force of the bands. I am a little worried about them breaking off. Maybe you could pin them to the core for added strength?
Thank you! You definitely deserve all of yours too! And I was thinking about the fork tips too, was feeling kind of hesitant at the time considering I had just messed up and had to replace them. In hindsight I probably should have pinned them, but I strength tested it with about 30-40 pounds of force, and it didn't budge. So I decided to leave it because the bands I'm using are only about 8 pounds, (which is 4 pounds per fork).
:D. That's great my friend, sounds like a pretty decent safety margin. Just wanted to make sure you had thought it through. Have a good one!
thanks, you too!
I was wondering the same thing....good to see the young man thinks things through and test his designs eh?!

You do some pretty amazing work...
this is by far the best sling you ever made i would recomend to use some leather in between the lamination. i wish i had the powertools i only have a rasp, metalfile and sandpaper but the slingshot i made rly came out nice just like this one dead fork and a mahogany palm swell.
Ty for helping me
Fantasicly beautiful!! I LOVE the laminations in the palmswell. It is probably the nicest looking slingshot I've ever seen!! Really!
Thanks man!
beautiful slingshot!
If the tips are held by glue only, I'd be scared of them coming loose and smacking me on the face!
To mitigate this risk, a couple of brass pins could be set through the added material and deep into the parent material.
Yes I would have drilled down through the top insecure them with brass pins so you're not just relying on the glue other than that the kid did an excellent job...I just hope he doesn't learn that mess and when the tips break off and smack him in the face....
@@razreaver5331 I would be more worried about the repetitive stress caused by use over time as well as frame strikes working them loose.
Was thinking the exact same thing, great build, but in no way would I trust those tips.
what a beautiful work of art you created! I enjoyed the entire video! normally I would have fast forward my way through to see the end result, but I had fun watching what you did! I hope your still creating ? all the best! thanks for sharing!
Your very nice brother. Thanks for your videos. Good luck....❤
lot of patience and good work..
I thought that it's good that you're using a natural big fork , because it doesn't cost, and it's a good idea.
thanks
nice looking slingshot the only thing I would suggest is maybe putting brass pins through the fork tips just because that's where all the stress from the band's is located and the only thing you have holding them in place is wood glue
Thanks! Yes I'm aware of that, I just didn't want to mess up the fork tips again. I think I'll go back and add them though.
Nice really nice you have Talent good luck
You deserve all the subscriptions
Dude you are amazing at making slingshots and shooting them
Great vid! I wouldn't have put pins in the top of the forks, for more support of the laminated works. But, greta vid, love that spalted wood!
Very good job
Nice slingshot keep it up

I think you should try some decorative holes finished with brass tubing and maybe a lanyard hole in the palm swell ?

Cool. I started making slingshots in about the 3rd grade. I still do today and I'm 53. My slingshots aren't as fancy as the one you made.
Awesome job, I love such nice wonderful piece of art however, If it has all its measurements would be nicer.
Great skills bud!!! Just remember baggy sleeves around moving machines could hurt you by pulling your jacket into it trust me I know almost got my arm caught in a sander....keep up the good work!!

Man nice work chief! Came out beautiful, now I want to make one
Beautiful
You shoot very done
This boy is professional. Great work 👍🏻 thanks for the tutorial. Now I can go shoot them Bandies.
looks great. just a little worried how well that glue is going to hold the forks you cut off and replaced? just wouldnt want to see you catch a piece of wood to the face
Looks awesome! My only question is did you add the pins to make it look better or did you just want to play with your new band saw some more? Lol
Nice job dude
is it your design what is the name of it
how do you make it look so easy? your channel got me interested in slingshot making! great job!
thanks!
The Slingshot King how did you first start out making them?
I bought a cheap vise and some files and started off with natural fork slingshots
Cool
What is the significance of tapering off the band's? It is better than regular or...???
My five-year-old is loving your videos! When you said, "I hope you like it", he said, "What? I LOVE it!" We're going to help him make one. Thanks for the videos!
He must be eight now. I hope he is doing well. Deliver my well wishes to him. Have a nice day. Love from India.

Very nice work! well done
Thanks!
Great video!
You work hard to make your own videos
Such a nice Video..Keep goin on.
Better than lot other videos !
This Slingshot looks great! Very nice natural wood but the laminations make it even better. The dark tips give a great contrast to the brighter wood and the palmswell has a very nice gradiation of colour.
I like the shape of the Slingshot because it look similar to my very first Slingshots. When I am outside I am always looking for some deadwood-forks but I could not find one yet.
I think this Slingshot is my favourite of your collection ;) Do you give your Slingshots names?
Keep up the good work! I always like watching your videos and often I learn something.
Thank you! No I don't name them, but I may if I can think of a good one.
I always try to give my favourite Slingshots a suiting name ;)
Some time ago I asked you how you make your bands and how long they hold. You then helped me by giving me the link to the video from Gamekeeper John. I think my bands hold much longer after I changed the way I make them. Thank you for your help!
No problem! My bands used to break too and now they last longer and are more efficient.
Hey man, is there anyway you could send me this slingshot template plz...THANKS
Another amazing slingshot and video!
I appreciate it!
Can i purchase one of these?
Work of art, great job.

omg word cant describe its gorgeous unbelievable the fork material looks like spalted maple have you any updates on the pistol crossbow or are you over it.
Thanks! I have to get a lot of other things done before I finish it, but I plan to show it eventually.
Your just getting better and better! Really like the grain and conrasts of this one.
Thanks!
+The Slingshot King please do a giveaway and congrats for 2,000 subs
Thanks, I think I'll do my next giveaway at 5,000 subs.
Good idea. Making a new giveaway for every new 1000 subsrcibers would be tedious in the end.

What type of wood is the natural fork. P.s I love your slingshots, I make them myself but none of them are as pretty as the ones you make.
Thanks! I'm not sure what type of wood it is, but it might be spalted maple.
