Adam, you are 100% my inspiration on starting/trying out kayaking and i have loved every second of it! you are the only athlete in the world who i adore and actually want to become when i'm older and stronger. I wish to go to the Olympics for Australia in paddling and listening to you and training really hard, hopefully i will get there one day! Thank you so much Adam Van Koeverden

I grew up watching him win Gold, I did not realize this was back in 2004. WOW!! Inspired a lot of people back then to go after a dream!

Adam van Koeverden has been a very very high level paddler for Canada for over a decade. He does not need to make any excuses for retiring or his Rio "performance". I've watched Canadian Olympians since 1964 and he's in an elite class in terms of doing well and making Canada proud.

Government funded CBC is the only media outlet who would give this guy a platform. He should have stuck to paddling.
