Wow, what an incredible restoration! Your attention to detail and dedication to preserving the history of this piece is truly inspiring. I could watch your videos all day long!
I really miss my orange mk1 mexico rep from the 90s the thing used to get so much attention, even back then. Just in parts that thing would be worth an absolute fortune. I'm sure it was built out of stolen mexico lol

Good job mate, keep up the good work!
Looks like a good shell, perfect for either restoration to original spec, or for converting to Mexico or RS2000 spec !

Those wheels are Mexico steel wheels. They’re very rare. Wider than standard. 5 or 5.5 inches wide.
@@IslandEngines Great to hear that, thank you for the information. I will measure them for sure!
Nice escort, i would like to buy one in Condition like your one. What do you think should i spend max?
Hard to say, but it pays to get one in best shape possible, even for a bit more money as it will save you much welding.

Fair point. It will be coupé when I start cutting it! 😄

Turn it into a hi-reving beast. Thanks for sharing your content.
What Country are you in, as I see that Escort is Left Hand Drive ?!
@@arkhsm We're from Slovenia! Greetings
Wher the coupe all I can see Is a mk2 escort saloon
A coupé is essentially a 2-door version of a saloon mode
@@billywhizz98No it isn’t.
You're correct. Technically it should have the rear window opening with the trunk for it to really be one. 🙂
@@HappyDayGarage nope, if it had the rear window opening with the boot lit that would have made it a hatchback
