    I’m excited that you’ve found the blue black! When I was a kid and lucky enough to get a box of 64 crayons, my favorites were midnight blue and a scarlet/magenta color. This blue black hits the midnight blue color on the head. It’s perfect. It has now replaced my love of Payne’s gray (who knew that was even possible). I love the gentle flow of this composition!

      Lol, funny you felt it replaced Paynes .. I was thinking the same thing . I only like some brands of PG.. some are too blue for me. This has a pretty smokey tone. I baught the red/black & green black on my way home last night.. I had too! Eager to try them out tonite or tomorrow. Cindy

    HELLO CINDY , THANKYOU FOR SHARING THIS WITH US I WANTED TO SAY ALSO THAT I WISH TO THANKYOU FOR SHOWING US THIS TECHNIQUE TO US I HAVENT TRIED IT YET , BUT YOUR INSPIRATION YOU HAVE GIVEN ME TO TRY THIS IS NOW , WELL I FEEL LIKE I MIGHT BE READY TO TRY IT , IM NOT SURE WHAT TO USE TO TRANSFER THE SWIPE WITH I FIGURED I WOULD TRY A PLASTIC PAINT SPATULA THAT YOU GET ROM THE DOLLAR STORE FOR A PKG OF 3 FOR $1. IT SEEMS LIKE ITS FLAT ENOUGH TO USE AND WIDE ENOUGH AND BIG ENOUGH TOO TO GET THE BLOOM TRANSFERRED OVER TO THE CANVAS OR TILE BUT THANKYOU FOR SHOWING US , YOU MAKE IT LOOK SO EASY CINDY AND FOR THE HUGE INSPIRATION YOU HAVE GIVEN ME . TY.

      Hi Margarite, very kind of you to say . I have said many times that the greatest compliment I can receive is someone telling me that I have inspired them to create. I think that is awesome, thank you. As far as transferring tools your spatulas sound fine and I am sure you will be able to work with them. I find the flatter the tool the better.. plastic lids with the lip cut off, plasticized playing cards are a couple of my favorites. I hope you have great sucess and bunches of fun. Please share and let me know how you made out. Cindy

      @acrylicpouringwithcindyvan9173  2 года назад

      ruclips.net/video/NFfUFneSitk/видео.html here's a super quick way Laurie.. I have switched back to felt rather than drawer liner.. just because I prefer the look. Alot if my bigger tiles I pop into the backside of an artist cradle panel.. stain it or paint it and attach the same d ring hanger to the back. Cindy

    Very cool! Was there pouring medium and/or oil in the paint for the swipe?

    • @acrylicpouringwithcindyvan9173
      @acrylicpouringwithcindyvan9173  2 года назад

      Hi Lori.. PM in all of my colors in every pour. No oil or silicone of any kind. My pouring medium is 3/2/1 (for this piece).. Valspar ultra deep base/triple thick varathane/Elmer's glue all.. water to thin.
      My cell mix for my swipe is 3/1 Aussie floetrol/Amsterdam paint.
      As far as paint consistency I believe that is a personal preference. I definitely like my paints thicker than most for this particular style. Cindy

  • @teraperry1008

    Wonderful color! Very rich! I do have a question. What paint and medium do you use for your cell activator? I don't do blooms but I would like a good one for my other pour paintings. The Aussie floetrol is so expensive and hard to find. What you did with one color and black and white is awesome!😊🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

    • @acrylicpouringwithcindyvan9173
      @acrylicpouringwithcindyvan9173  2 года назад

      Hi Tera, I used Aussie floetrol for this piece. 3 / 1 with Amsterdam paint I either black or white. Aussie floeteol is a horrible price and I refuse to pay as much for shipping as for the products. Usually what I do is order enough product from fluid art company to get free shipping. $150.00 gets you free shipping. Unfortunately they only allow 1 floetrol per customer or I would just buy 5.😀.. I have only been using the Aussie stuff for about a year, until then I used 3/1/1 US floetrol/Elmer's glue all/Amsterdam paint. Plus a few drops of minwax wood conditioner. It works well but you will have to fiddle around to get the consistency right. Aussie is much easier and really failproof for creating cells. Cindy

      @@acrylicpouringwithcindyvan9173 Thank you Cindy for all the good info. I've been researching this and I came upon The Painted Dreamer. This is after I watched Karen D waterfall acrylics and saw that she did get success with the recipe you told me about. The Elmers glue makes sense because if you do say a flip cup with it in your pouring medium the cells are nice and round and hold their shape. Anyway, I'm backtracking sorry😋... the gal who is The Painted Dreamer made a mixture of ten part US floetrol to one part Amsterdam and it works! So tonight I experimented with it and a CA I made up of 4 parts floetrol 1 part Amsterdam PM and 1 part Amsterdam paint and a little water. Well suprise suprise they both work pretty great! Just thought I'd pass that on. Tera😊💜

    • @acrylicpouringwithcindyvan9173
      @acrylicpouringwithcindyvan9173  2 года назад +1

      Oh it's several very expensive art tools Pamela...😉. I am the queen of thrifty . The larger metal disc is some cheapy flat metal Christmas decoration that I grabbed at the dollar store to paint on (never happened.).. the smaller pieces are just the plastic tops from candy tubs (wallmart). I just cut the flat part of the top off. Like I said cheap, cheap.. Playing cards work well too & you can fold up the edges to keep your paint from dripping off the sides while you are transferring. I'm not sure about your paints. houusepaint, latex paint or acrylic. Some of your paints we don't have in Germany, therefore the kind of paint is important for me. Second it seems that your paints are thicker for this technique

    • @acrylicpouringwithcindyvan9173
      @acrylicpouringwithcindyvan9173  2 года назад +1

      Hi Renata, i understand the challenge you face trying to find compatible paints in different countries. There are many brands I cannot access from the US and I am a stones throw away. My black base paint is Wallmart brand CIL platinum semi gloss finish interior latex. Color is black Onyx.
      White base paint is Easy Flo eggshell interior latex from Canadian Tire.
      You should probably be able to come close to my acrylic colors using Amsterdam acrylic. That is what I use for cell mix I either black or white . Atelier paints are from Australia but you could get super close to this blue just mixing Paynes grey or Prussian blue with black. Cindy
