How big is your wrist?
I was hesitating between this and the snxs77, in the end I bought this one for the added elegance that time brands offer you with only a small point of brightness and the rest of shiny steel.
Online the SNKE51 has a lug width of 18mm but his measurement says 20mm. Which should I get ?

Love the blue dial, puts the blue divers like the sbdc033 and skx009 to shame! My favourite Seiko 5 is my SNKM41 with 37mm diameter, 18mm lug width and a 3 o'clock crown, has an awesome silver dial and it wears super nicely like a dress watch!

The seiko 5 snk793 looks and feels better n my opinion the only down side is the snk793 case diameter of 37 mm with a case of 11 mm. And the band is 18mm. It maybe to small for some. (Snk793 is on Amazon for 86 bucks.)
How about the weight?What is the weight of this Seiko 5? Can you help me? Because i cant use heavy watches and i want to buy one of this.
Seiko 5 Crowns seem to have a seal on it's shaft so I would say they must be fairly waterproof.

I love the dial on this! I have the SNKK27, a somewhat similar looking watch. I originally got it because I wanted a blue dial watch, but I really want a simple, blue sunburst dial watch. I'm about to get the blue Mako II, but I may also have to look into getting this one for when a diver is a little overkill.
I have the KK27 as well. I really like that as it gives a sporty vibe! Put it on a good strap it's pretty sweet! I would suggest the Ray II over the Mako II. It just cleaner in my opinion!
minitwatch I've been thinking about getting both. I'd get the Mako II in blue for my everyday, "casual" watch and the Ray II in black for more dressy occasions. Are there any automatic divers in roughly the same price range that you would recommend?

Could someone tell if the measurements are the same for the Seiko snkl43? It's similar to this watch with a blue dial but the hands are a little different
I am late to the party for this watch, i just started subscribing to the channel. My question is, What sapphire crystal would this take? I want to buy a new seiko 5 to mod and I really like the 38mm case size. I have been using snk805 (37mm) for modding in the past which uses the CT063 from crystal times. Would this use the same size crystal?

Can you suggest a 42 or 43mm version of this? Criteria is automatic, lume, daydate and blue..even if it's other brands this kind of blue is magnificent.
How much difference is there between this or the sarb033? Looking to buy either very soon!
quite a bit! Side by side, you'd clearly see that the SARB033 had much more attention to detail put into it. The brushing is FAR better, the proportions are thoughtful, the bracelet is wonderful and it has a far better movement. I would buy the SARB033 ASAP because the prices are going to rise and rise as it's been discontinued.

That's what I like about it to be honest! It has a bigger presence than most Seiko 5's (excluding Seiko 5 Sports models).

Never mind, i can answer my own question, haha! the hands are different (The SNKL43 has pointed hands, look more dressy, less sporty) and the lug width is 18mm. This one has a 20mm width.
The only downside is the short bracelet. 16 centimeters ? Well, made in Japan. Had to change the clip for longer Tissot buckle go figure because it’s impossible to by extra links go figure .

This watch is a lot like the SNK793, the one I have.
Yes. The dial is slightly different and the case sizes are about 2mm apart. Both excellent choices!
Women would love this watch if it only came on a tapered bracelet instead of the continuous chord line. But these bracelets are far better then you rate.
That is a great watch. Talk about value for money, wow. That is a really good size for Sir. Looked great. I thought the lume was actually pretty decent, for a dress piece. Comparing any lume to a Seiko Diver is going to result in disappointment. The Seiko Divers will spoil you for anything else. To be fair, I would say the lume on the Seiko 5 was average to above average for what I see in dress pieces.... So in fairness, we could say it did have nice lume...
That is a fair assessment for sure. The reason i use A Seiko diver is that it's basically the lume benchmark.
