- We are in Riga for Drift Masters and since we are so close to HGK, we decided to take a visit to see where James Deane Eurofighter was built and ask how long it takes to build one, and how much a HGK built car costs. We also got to check out the Carbon Kevlar process and Kristaps shows us his secret BMW collection that nobody has seen before…

Im born in Latvia but grown up in Ireland. This brings warmth to my heart seeing IE & LV come together trough this sport. Hardest thing in life was either rooting for the Irish boys or Nik Nak lol. Also Dave, your commentary is literally the best I've seen, from LZ tour to DMEC!

Even with the rain in Riga there were some crazy battles. I've never seen so many drivers just throw their cars in like that with no regard to the track conditions. Was on the edge of my seat the whole time. 1/3rd demolition derby, 2/3rds drifting.
Man sincerely since the first time i saw that E46 fly around FD Ive been a huge fan of kristaps would to see him drive an event like the LZ event and just have a blast
Would be cool to get a series of interviews or life stories from the DMEC drivers and how they earned their sponsorships and the truth of day to day life as professional top level drift drivers, costs, time management, etc. 😊

I too make my own composite bodywork and molds etc and can confirm it’s not easy , in fact it is a very complex process. Any errors in release agent application, vacuum leaks or atmospheric conditions can ruin a component.
Nice products from HGK and hasn’t lost its roots and core values.

I love carbon Kevlar work. People have no idea how hard it is to do and expect there custom made shit to show up in 3 weeks? 😂 for quality work like this expect a 6 months to a year plus wait time but also trust me it’s worth it. Don’t buy origin cuz it’s available hahahah

@@SCUDommc Yeah he did drive with some speed but I do think main issue was that McKeever slowed down massively in the last zone plus broke his transmission before the initial hit. But who knows. Amazing battle still

I think you could compare it to oil change, its cheaper to do it yourself but you can also go to repair shop and pay for people to do it for you.
Also not everyones car is nearly this pricy. For example Lauri Heinonen has front skirt made out of plywood to cut down the cost and he is still fighting for the championship.
