Don't forget that his step(?)mother was so petty that she had one of his pieces of clothing poisoned, which caused him so much pain that it sent him into a blind rage and he murdered his wife and children as a result. I can't remember if that was the reason for his labors in the first place or after the fact, but Greek Mythology is kinda fucked up.

Herc is hands down my favorite skull to play. I've dropped fully decked out magic builds just for him when he's come up on my runs just cause I enjoy him too much. As for dialing back the cooldown stuff.... No, just no. ALL the cooldown, my favorite run I've had with him I had double infinite bone and I had times where I used the same skill over and over again for a minute straight. litterally infinite Iframes, It's just too damn fun

At the end before when the dwarven test subject puts you into the cannon, i think you can clear the enimies in the area by choice if you want. It can help you to get items like kirion done, especially since all they enemies and phases the king has also count, so you can get the item finish right in time for the very final boss phase.

I didnt know you were such a fighting game fan, tied with rougelikes for my fav genre! Hearing all the grappler references was fantastically funny and exactly where my mind was at too lol
My entire channel started with me uploading DBFZ videos :P I've also thrown like 1 GG Strive vid out there, some DNF Duel and SF6 when it dropped. I don't really get much time to actually *play* them anymore. But I've always been a fan. Especially around the 2010 revival when we had SF4 and Marvel really pushing things forward. Not the biggest Street Fighter fan (I like it don't get me wrong) but always been a bigger fan of chaotic team fighters or anime fighters due to the fluidity and freedom of combos. I also dislike everything Netherrealm because the games feel like cheeks to me lol. I also won't be picking up Tekken 8 because LMFAO I can't play Tekken at all.
Looking forward to Project L though, as we prob aren't getting a new Marvel or DBFZ type game anytime soon. I know literally nothing about league but dude the twins are making the game and have attached some of the best netcode ever. Gotta be worth a look.
My all time favourite youtuber and biggest inspiration for getting into it all is Maximilian. I still watch him, Versus Vortex with Mike Ross and Xian, Justin Wong, Punk, Smug and the FGC Translated channel from time to time to hear what Mago, Daigo, Nemo and the gang overseas are up to.
@@Beelz55 Damn I didnt know that! Ive neglected my fighting games recently cause I dont have any buddies who actively play them and I suck at doing stuff alone. Ive only been into fighting games for the past 5 years cause my bud showed me GG Xrd, and my love grew from there.
I definitely feel you on anime fighters bein fun, I loooove Blazblue Centralfiction (Jubei main) cause every character is so damn unique. I dont have much experience with tag fighters so Im pretty ass lol, but Im omega excited for Project L because 1. I used to love League, and 2. Playin a tag fighter with buddies sounds amazingly sick. Plus Tom and Tony are leading the game? Instant huge success, mark my words. Buuut, SF has definitely stolen my heart, somethin about its grounded nature is satisfying to me. Tekken 8 looks sick so Ill grab it but I also cant play Tekken lol.
And Im right there with you on Maximilian, he and Sajam were my biggest inspirations for sticking with and learning fighting games. Max is just so damn knowledgeable about the games histories and is super funny and just enjoyable to watch, and Sajams videos felt like they were doubling my neurons everytime I watched em lol.

On the topic of Heracles! One of the best ways to use his mass stun and cudgel legendary is skul himself. Skul benefits from many of the new items, including the magic armor that gives shield on skill use and the cudgel's shockwaves, but the stun item allows you to stunlock everything up to the final boss by repeatedly throwing heads at it. It doesn't even matter that you need physical damage because all the items add physical attack already. Bosses (except the last two) get a single move against you before dying. I did a "traditional" styled skul run with necklace, mana bone, gravity generator, that item, magic armor, cudgel, and armor of fear, and curbstomped dark mirror 7 without any issues. I guess in a way, Herc is like physical Skul with invulnerability tacked on?
Also you had 1 extra mystery for the entire run :v

I love love love when games have bosses that are the same as your character with your characters moves but amp'ed to 11, of course it's even better if your own character can eventually get that strong or stronger.
All right. Now that I've completed ALL of the new achivements, let's talk the Mythos Skulls (besides King Arthur).
From least to most favourite...
4th: Lù Bù (or whatever is the inspiration, please don't shoot me I'm not an historian). It is a Power Skull, strong attacks, with an HUGE range (which I love). It is last for its slow start, it needs some Atk Spd or Chase or survivability (Hp recovery or Fortress) for the rare and uniques phases. Also some skill needs a frame-perfect follow up to make the extra attack happen.
A challenging skull that rewards a Powerhouse experience, not much different from other skulls we played, but at least the General Theme feels good.
3rd: Thor. Balance skull, it feels just a typical strong Magic boi. I like the idea of Spell-hammering Warrior, and has great build potential, but it is plain. A good show of a run either way.
2nd: Hercules: Power boi, I've done only one run, the damage was low. I had damage Inscriptions and Items and it was low either way. Its strengh lies in invulnerability time, skill cooldown management and crowd controls. I feel it would be good with Dizzyness 4 for overrall crowd controll BS, but it cannot use too many Item-Atk procs for he NEEDS Dmg ups.
1st: Spartacus.
I LOVE IT. The possibility to simply conunter EVERY hit of a Boss Combo (Dark Hero for example) is such a dopamine boost that it subside every other flaws. Dmg is low, but it does not matter, for you do not need survivability when you do not take damage.
But you need to know how to time the parry. A skull for few, but daam us few feel GOOOOOOD.
Arthur is, well, a different category. A niche, the melee magic-boi, that I wanted for so LOOONG, and I like that the Mythos DLC helps in that.
P.S. Before discovering the Secret I was hoping the secret boss was you, Beelzebub, for I thought the Demon the Hero fought, which had Purple Skin and Blue Horns was a reference to you. But it was too unrealistic.
P.P.S I'm discovering all the Upgraded Inscriptions slowly. Fairy Tale has one, let's just say that, at this point, Oberon is Goku.

He's my favourite of the new skulls! Hercules has been my favourite hero in all of history, I play or use him in EVERY game, (fate grand order, etc), and for him to come to skull and be playable is a literal dream come true for me! I was going all giddy when I got him for the first time. Glad to see you have fun with him! Don't diss my yaksha boy ok :(

So, I've decided to torture myself by trying to fight dark skul and emperor in my first run once I get the dlc, would be hard, but I think I'll make it. Definitely feels like these skuls were designed with dark mirror 10 in mind. Ol herc is pretty great, fantastic even. But as you noticed, he struggles with having to put out just raw dps. Where as thor literally just dumps dps in the best way possible (ranged/multi hit/separate instances). Can't believe this dlc was so cheap, so many good things.
This is one of the best way to build Hercules. It may lack damage but that’s because you didn’t get the best items and you had mystery 5 but great run none the less beelz.

Heracles being a grappler makes perfect sense. The greeks were big on wrasslin.
I know I mentioned how cool the status effect witch upgrades could be, but I didn't even think about what could happen with Masterpiece and Fairy Tale until now.
Masterpiece doesn't have an upgrade atm from what I hear. Fairy Tale does. Also consider some of the more obscure ones like Sin, Treasure and the Dash one (Pike heavy breathing)
I played Heracles today for the first time and built for cooldown as well. Sure you're damage isn't there, but as you see you can just be invincible for 99% of the time and the game is a cake walk.
Ngl watching this amount of fun and grappling just gave me brain rot XD. If i was the one playing i'd prolly do dumb and die cuz of trying to grapple everything and go ooga booga.

Grabbing the enemies and using them to hit other enemies is really funny.
i personally think this is my favorite skull, most of his skills (i say most because i dont know if there is one that doesnt have s) make you have s, and i paired it with cooldown reduction, so constant suplexing and untouchable made it nice

you should try an attack speed build on this guy so you can get the full attack chain a crap ton of times in rapid succession
