I Do not comment on any videos buy I need as much prayers I can get. I am currently waiting to take my skills test for the second time. I've been watching your videos since yesterday. So hopefully it goes well. I always forget everything and I'm so nervous!!
Hi, Stephanie! Thank you for your comment. Your nerves are possibly the cause of you "forgetting everything". Breathe, Relax, Slow Down, and Focus. You got this! Stay positive and remain confident. Send your nerves on vacation, far, far away!!! You will SMASH that CNA exam. Let me know how you do, please.
Thank you for sharing your gift of knowledge. I love your voice...you are so easy to listen to. Your students and your patients are lucky to have you instructing them.
I Have Been A Pca For Over A Year. I Been Trying To Take My Skills For About 3 Months. I know I Know Them But I Get So Nervous And Start Second Guessing Myself. Watching These videos Trying To Drill Them In My Head. Y’all Please Say A Prayer For Me
Thank you so much for another GREAT video! I'm especially grateful for the tip that you gave about pulling the cuff of the gown slightly over the hand to facilitate putting the glove on. That advice really makes donning the gloves so much easier! Your videos really are top notch and honestly the very best that I've seen. Thank you so much for taking the time to make them & thank you so much for your willingness to share your knowledge with countless others!
Testing day is later today.. and here i am watching videos, they are really helpful, so i hope this is enough! I’m super nervous. Thanks for posting these!!
Thank you for your videos they helped me pass my exam today!! I’m located in Georgia btw and I also mentioned you in one of my videos on here if that’s okay❤️
Hi, Candice! CONGRATULATIONS! You #SmashedThatCNAExam!!! Glad to hear my videos were instrumental in your passing your exam! And, thank you for mentioning me in your videos!
Thank you so much for taking your time to teach us how to properly complete so many steps. You are so thorough and it is so helpful!! Thank you, thank you!!
Nurse Jar they are telling us to start with the bottom tie first then the top. after that go to the top pull down the gown and then pull one sleeve with the opposite hand and pull it out and then the other, Is that just the Pennsylvania state test?
Thank you very much for you patient teaching, I am learning better with your videos, getting ready for my exam next month, I am actually not so good in math, and because you take your time I am feeling confident and familiar with everything :)
i've been watching your videos for a while now since I started my CNA class back in December. Tomorrow we're going to start out clinicals and I hope I do good. You explain things very well and I hope I pass both the written and the skills.
I only had 5 mins remaining for this skill and my glove ripped but I kept going. I followed all the steps after this though. also I accidentally put the gloves in the trash can instead of the designated container but I put the gown in the designated container. is this a failing point as well as the ripped glove? I was in a rush but only the very bottom part of the glove ripped my fingers were not exposed
Hi, thank you for your video. Is this skill a simple put on and remove PPE or do we have to do some kind of patient care and go through the opening and closing procedure?
Hi, Angela! If you are testing under Pearson Vue, you will be required to perform 5 skills (Hand Hygiene, 1 of the five measurement skills, and random bedside skills). If you are testing under Prometric, you will be required to perform 5 skills (Hand Hygiene, Indirect Care Skills, and 3 random skills. If you test under, Headmaster, you will be required to perform 3-4 skills, including Hsnd Hygiene.
Hi, Judith! Thank you! But, usually with training videos, there will be a lot of talking/explanations. I construct most of my videos in this manner to help people gain a better understanding of how to perform the skill during testing and how the NAEs will be evaluating their performance.
Thank you so much Ms. Julie for your great videos, very informative. You are really doing an awesome job. I wrote my exams today and i passed. God bless you for all that you do. Your husband is remembered in prayers🙏🙏🙏
Hi, Reggie! Thank you so much. I'm happy to hear that my videos were instrumental in your passing your exam. CONGRATULATIONS! You #SMASHTHATCNAEXAM!!! What state did you test in?
Hi, Rikki! It all depends on what equipment is at your test site. If their is a biohazard waste bin, then I'd suggest you to dispose of the isolation gown and gloves in that bin. If the site does not have a biohazard waste bin, you should dispose of the isolation gown in the regular waste bin.
Hi, Amel! You need to determine your glove size during training before you test. If you have already completed training, you may just have to take an educated guess, or purchase latex gloves in different sizes to try. You can usually find them in dollar stores for a lesser price.
JULIE REYNOLDS thanks 👍 I just finished my CNA class last week, got my NAR and now trying to work as NAR and watching all your videos to be ready for state exam
I remembered during my testing last month, there was a ppe trash can, that is why I am asking because I am re-doing my skills exam on Tuesday the 7th of this month and I want to be sure.
Hi, Matrix! In a real life situation, PPE is put on before entering the patient's room and is removed and disposed of in a biohazard bin before exiting the room. For testing, the donning, removal and disposal of PPE is done in the testing area.
In hindsight, these videos are training videos for nurse aide students. Students have to follow the steps outlined in the skill. However, in real life, you NEVER double-glove for infection control. You actually put yourself at a higher risk for becoming contaminated. Hope I was able to answer your question.
@@gigimarie5325 Hi, Gigi! Thanks for your comment and question. In a real life situation, donning 2 pairs of gloves puts you at a higher risk of becoming contaminated due to the fact that you would now have to remove 2 sets of gloves instead of only 1 pair without contaminating yourself.
Hi, Grace! You will not fail on that aspect alone. For those students who are "height-challenged", I encourage them to hold the gown upwards at arms-length while unfolding.
this lady is the best! She takes her time and explains every step. She is an amazing teacher

Taking my test in 1 hour. Soooooo nervous but I truly thank you for making these videos. You are a blessing and great at teaching! Wish me luck!

When you took arms out of gown your hands were contaminated by sleeve of dirty gown?
