  • This Super Tiny NYC Apartment is really cool, and it's in Soho one of Lower Manhattan's Most Popular Neighborhoods. There's no way you can get a cheaper place than this downtown, and the unit itself has some secrets that make it totally useable in ways more modern apartments never will be. Check out this Soho NYC Apartment Tour and let me know what you think about this tiny apartment that, in my opinion, has some serious potential.

    Wow. That apartment was SO retro. The kitchen cabinets might not have been the original but definitely decades old. The stove was probably from the 1940s & the kitchen sink? Do u have any idea how much that would sell 4? Hundreds. They don't make them like that anymore. I've never seen the laundry cupboard b4. I've lived in apartments that had wooden drying racks inside a metal cabinet on the wall & also built in metal laundry hampers. That medicine cabinet is also probably 1940s. I'm so glad no one ever gutted it. It's really kept its old school charm. Hopefully whoever buys it will appreciate the charm

    Really great. I wold put a single bed in the alcove, and have a couch that converts to a bed for a big living room! Also a counter height work station with storage and two stools in the kitchen. I think the space can be used way better. A skirt for the sink with trash can and boxed storage below.

    I love, love, love this apartment. I would probably get a Murphy bed so that I could have a bigger living room set-up and then just move the coffee table out of the way when the bed comes down. The kitchen and bathroom are adorable and wouldn't need to be changed. Happy to see there are pets in the building as evidenced by the Chewy box in the hallway since I do have a dog and a cat. The location is great. Yup, if I was moving into Manhattan this would be a sale.

    This is a very cool little studio. Like another person mentioned below, I would have a Murphy bed instead of a free standing bed and just rearrange in the evening when I went to bed. It would make the living area more homey and less of a dorm room or hotel room during the day and evening. Overall a fantastic apartment and has a ton of great character!

I would want nothing of historical significance removed! BEAUTIFUL! Definitely a fantastic neighborhood (expensive as hell!) and that's why the $625K price tag. BTW; Fanelli's (great bar and resto) has been there since a little before 1900. Finally, Liz must have worked at the GAP at some point in her life. That one closet (next to the bathroom) is perfect and beautifully presented.

    This is adorable. I love the original tile on the bathroom floor and walls! I grew up in an old house with radiators and love them, but they warm the space better when not blocked by furniture, so I'd shift the bed away from that wall. I'd probably get a full-size daybed to replace separate bed and sofa, maybe add an upholstered chair and side table. I have big dogs, so I always look to keep open floor space over every inch filled. Love the desk idea for the nook. Lots of light and charm - love it!

    $625,000 is a lot for that walk up studio that it needs work. The bathroom should be retiled, the tub needed to be reglazed. The kitchen is not great if you want to cook. The monthly’s are low, $805, without mortgage, but you need to put 125,000k down, and then the mortgage about 2000 a/month. All in all this about $2,805/month not including renovations to the bathroom.

    • @ShortRound42
      @ShortRound42 3 года назад

      You're right. It's actually too much for the size and condition of the kitchen and bathroom.
      You can find in midtown, bigger studios, one bedroom coop's and condo's for around $300 to $400k fully renovated with amenities in old school buildings so it still has the charms, architecture and old school details.
      This place Cash is showing, to me is a rip off.

    One issue, the air conditioner looked like it was in the window for the fire escape, that’s actually illegal (unless there’s a second window next to it. Also it can’t be too big or it could block people upstairs from getting by. I know because I had to figure out if we could put one in our daughter’s room or not, thankfully we could because there’s two windows and we’re the top floor with no roof access.)

    I prefer studios to "one bedrooms" with windowless living rooms. The living space is nice; I would put the bed where the entertainment center is so that the radiator isn't blocked and more heat can get through the apartment. Also, I would think it would be too hot to sleep with the bed where it is. The vintage kitchen will appeal to people looking for "charm". That's not my thing but the kitchen is still fine. I would remove the shelf Cash recommended for a small table to eat at. This apartment is for a person who likes history and an old world feel rather than someone who will rip it apart to modernize it.

    Really cute apartment! Love the old-fashioned windows, and how it’s laid out! I was wondering about how many things had been ironed on that board as well!

    I love areas that have a little bit of everything so you put your money back into your neighborhood.

    Quintessential NYC bachelorette pad. I'd keep the bathroom as is...totally got that 20's 30's vibe to it.....but that stove all in one has gotta go. Sink stays....a little update would make it totally workable. Small or not, this one is a winner and the neighbourhood is a bonus.
