The original SCP-173 was an art project made by a Japanese sculptor named Izumi Kato while the photograph is by Keisuke Yamamoto. The artist actually cool with his work used for SCP at first as long as it's not commercial. But later it's known that he complains his artwork was more known as SCP-173 than what it was originally. So as to respect his feeling and some SCP games being sold for money (understandable really) decided to replace the iconic SCP-173 looks. All in all, is actually a quite wholesome move from the SCP community (and nothing bad to be said to Izumi Kato, his feeling is understandable).

I'd say all SCP creators should've definitely credited the artist but honestly even if they did people would still refer to the artwork as SCP 173 even if they knew the author so I suppose the author should also be more understanding that once a nickname gains traction it's the more common name used
Ngl, I think new 173 looks better than the old version anyway. While we grew with the old one, the new version looks much more frightening, and with its new structure, it actually makes much more sense that the thing is able to move without cracking itself with every single movement. The old one basically being a big peanut made of solid cement and metal, the cement should've been breaking left and right, unlike metal which is more flexible, and can (to some extent) bend before returning to its original shape.

Eleven who is creator of this game told us that he will update this game which will give Players hints and will explain Scp's behavior. Also Eric isn't only here to make Loud noises he increases the AI of scp's which makes Night 5 impossible since every SCP is at AI lvl 10 not like at Night 4 where every SCP was at AI lvl 7. first of all night 5 is not impossible and second of all people already beaten 8/20 :) but yeah, Eric makes it slighty more difficult ;) around 1-3+ AI level.

Hey Insym! This was a lot of fun to watch, I'm glad you tried this game out. As someone who's beaten it at it's hardest, I figured I'd leave a few tips you could use to beat night 5, 6, and what comes after.
Starting with SCP-173, you don't actually need to continuously stare at him. He moves when he hasn't been checked in X amount of time, so the best strategy is to leave the camera on the room that he's in, then quickly flip the camera open and closed from time to time, allowing you to check him but not use much power.
You seem to understand SCP-106 fairly well, so I'll just say that you can actually lift your mask a good bit earlier then you would think, something to remember if you're in a rush.
You want to avoid SCP-049 reaching an elevator at all costs, as having to shut off your power is pretty much a death sentence, especially later on. A good strategy to deal with him is to lock one elevator from the start and leave the Floor E camera on the room with the other elevator. Every other time you flip open the camera for 173, you can switch the cams to Floor E to see if 049 has approached the elevator and lock it if need be.
SCP-096 is again pretty simple. One thing to note is that he won't get angry while you have the mask on, so you can use that to buy time and prepare for a quick camera flip if need be.
SCP-860-2 is also pretty simple, I don't think there's much to say about it that you don't already know.
The ideal strategy for dealing with SCP-1048 is actually to completely ignore him and let him into your office. Yes, this means if your pc or power gets shut off you pretty much lose, but that happening can be completely avoided if you play well enough, and not having to use the flashlight on him throughout the night makes saving power much easier.
Dealing with SCP-079 is a pain, but is absolutely vital to winning. Him getting angry is the reason the power would randomly shut off, your door would abruptly open/close, or you would see his face in the cameras. So how do you avoid this? You need to do two things. 1: Respond to him in time. Ignoring him for too long will make him progressively more unhappy. 2: Keep a good balance of wins to losses. If you win two more times than he has, or lose two more times than he has, he will get angry and trigger the above issues. This means that the best way to placate him is to respond quickly and go for draws.
SCP-066 does do something more than randomly blare music, and letting him into your office does have a negative effect. However, I'll keep what it is secret for now, as you will find out later if you return to this game.
So to do a quick run through of the basic strategy, as soon as you start the night, boot up the computer and cam system. Find SCP-173 and leave your camera on him. Then go to camera 2D and shut off the oxygen to save power. Follow that up with going to the cams on floor E, locking one of the elevators, and leaving the camera on the other elevators. Move the camera back to floor C to watch 173 and do camera flips throughout the night, checking floor E for 049 every other flip or so, and turning on/off the oxygen system when your screen is blurry/clear to save power. Deal with 106, 096, 860-2, 079, and 066 as they show up.

Dudeeee. Ive recently taken a huge hyper-fixation on scp lore and started writing all the lores and was going to ask if you would be playing another or replaying an scp game, this is dope 🤩
You actually have seen SCP-079 before on Containment Breach. It was the computer that you need to talk to, to get the exit gate open and stuffs. It tells you to go to Gate B.
More than that, 079 is the main antagonist, responsible for causing the breach itself after gaining control of the facility's door controls.

@@Plasmafox just wrote another message about it but 079 cannot be considered a "main antagonist" imo. He's the cause of the breach, but not a firm opponent in the whole situation. Have a look at it from another angle. Similar situation, a door is blocked by a chain, and someone breaks that chain, releasing demons killing thousands of people in the process. Do you think that dude is "the main antagonist" heroes have to face ? He caused the whole situation aswell after all. Now let's say it's a huge rock that falls on the chain. Is a god damn rock the antagonist from your story ?
@@lantosrevial8846 I would put it more like... SCPF is the "protagonist", and both the player and 079 are independent antagonists. From the Foundation's perspective, 079 is the main antagonist, and the player character is just some guy, who only becomes more important than that if he manages to survive. Gordon Freeman-like.
Most villains in fiction don't lead from the front; they have thousands of "demons" beneath them the heroes must fight through. Sometimes the villain doesn't even have power over them. But we don't then say the one pulling the strings is not the antagonist.
What an amazing game! The last night seems basically impossible, but I do hope you'll try it again once the AI of every character in this game is more well-known to players, maybe that'll make it a little easier. Thanks for the video once again

55:44 rn and I have to say... from what I've gathered:
1. SCP-173 should just be brought on cam and instantly closed
2. SCP-079 gets angry as you keep winning/losing consecutively(and obviously he opened the door after insym closed it)
3. Plague doctor should just have one door closed and the other cam on the other door and nowhere else
4. Builder bear prob needs to be flashed when it isn't in the room yet
5. There is probably an escape from the pocket dimension so if everything appears at once you can probably focus on everything but Larry
Totally random thought on how this might work or could be changed. I think when SCP-173 is there in the office, you should let Larry take you to the other dimension and escape through the portal. All the other SCP's should in theory leave including resetting 173. Again, not sure if this is how it actually works but it could be a cool, risky, one time reset.

It probably means that the MTF/field agents come in to replace you. So basically all except for Larry and shy guy can be dealth with by MTFs

I think when you don't play the game 079 gets mad, then messes with the doors, lights, vents, something like that, or maybe even the power itself, either draining it when messing with the stuff or shutting everything down. More likely he just messes with the doors and stuff to mess you up with 860-2 and 049 though.

It's a game inspired by the universe of the SCP Foundation and it's made by only one person.
The game is incredible and really well done, it deserve more interest.
Also, the composer of the game Soma made the musics of the game, so, it's not nothing.
The game has 4 different endings depending on your choices at the end of the game.

Would love to see what more can happen in 106's pocket dimension (Larry). I wonder if you can somehow use him to kind of skip time in the 5th night, or if time is simply paused while in his realm.
Also from my understanding :
There's no need to flash the bear before he gets on top of the computer (if he gets booted back anyway, it'd be a waste of energy to kick him before his last phase)
SCP-079 can shut down the power or open / close doors (and maybe more) if made angry. He seems to get mad if you either ignore him for too long, lose too many times in a row, win too many times in a row, and maybe if you draw aswell.
For Shy guy, quickly opening or closing the camera tab lets you get rid of him in a pinch, so flickering through screens seem like a decent idea to stay safe from 096's murderous habits.
As for 173 (formerly known as peanut boi), it looked like flashing the cam on him prevented him to move for a few seconds every time, so, if this works, spamming the cam on peanut could kind of protect you from 173 AND 096 at the same time
I also wonder if 049 (plague doctor) reacts to the power being out, or if its retreat is due to the mask. I think I remember SCP lore stating that scientists tried to see what would happen if 049 and 035 (the mask) met, and they just had a conversation.
Idk why the door doesn't seem to work sometimes, but my guess would be that it was just SCP-079 being mad at you.
At last, IF 106 doesn't kill you instantly on night 5 (which is a big if), you may actualy be able to straight up ignore him and just deal with the puzzle jump whenever he gets you.
I hope this helps, those ideas are based on my observation from this video and some knowledge I have from actual SCP lore, so I cannot guarantee they'll work for this game, but the more we share ideas, the easier it'll be to find a solution !

SCP-173 (peanut) in-lore should snap your neck around 1AM if he knows you're there though. That guy is fast enough to snap the neck of people from like 10m who just blink. I get it that game design and that would be quite literally impossible, but this way it seems like peanut is having a lazy day xd

While I appreciate that Ad in the beginning, I feel like it really jives against the spirit of the SCP foundation. Class-D don't get a choice, they're told what to do. But kudos for putting that together regardless.
Imagine if the Dev made it so if you WON your game of tic tac toe that SCP would help you out for X amount of time. You can have it shut doors for you automatically, close elevators, or maybe just keeping an eye on 173. Basically you pick one effect and play.
Night 1
simply just close the door if necessary, leave pc off to not conserve power and stare at the vent and keep the light off until peanut is out of the vent.

It's possible to beat! There is a playthrough on youtube and the 5th night is very possible. I think there is some kind of trick to 173 and juggling with other things but it'd be best if you looked at a playthrough of the 5th night yourself.
