- Luis Soriano, a teacher in the small town of La Gloria, Colombia, has spent the past ten years bringing books to children of the rural communities on the back of his donkeys.

I nominate him for the CNN, CBS, FOX, ABC or whatever HERO it is. He deserves it. He doesn't do it for fame but for the love he has for his people. We should have more people of that conscience. He's a true christian in every sense.

What a nice man we are learning and reading about him with my reading teacher me a girl and 2 boys I'm in4 grade they say that the tried to steel him and he fell of his donkey and broke his foot but still kept going cause it was important to him that they need book if I had 5,123,195 money I would give Luis the man half of my money so he could buy markers pencils toys note books more books sharpeners for there pencils washable markers sharpie marker😢😢😢😢 that made me cry a little a t the end for there glory I'm Mexican que dios the bendige luis

But I feel very bad about the donkey, nobody thinks that he is suffering holding all the pounds of books plus the teacher? The donkey is very small. I would like to know how he is .
Lindo! :) Realmente há pessoas no Mundo que têm noção de que o futuro é das crianças e que para ser melhor do que é hoje, é essencial educá-las. O esforço que faz por chegar a todos e por desenvolver a sua comunidade é incrível. Sem o burro dificilmente conseguiria percorrer as distâncias que percorre! Amei!

Recientemente lei el libro Biblioburro a mi hija de seis años y ella se quedo fascinada al enterarse de que Luis Soriano es una persona real. Hay que aprovechar cuando nuestros hijos son pequeños e inocentes para inculcarles amor a algo tan sencillo como leer un libro.
