We need someone like him in every single school in USA teaching our kids. It should be something MANDATORY.
Making money is not the same as keeping it there is a reason why investments aren't well taught in schools, the examples you gave are well stationed, the market crisis gave me my first millions, people shy away from hard times, I embrace them.. well at least my advisor does lol.
Investors should be cautious about their exposure and be wary of new buys, especially during inflation. Such high yields in this recession is only possible under the supervision of a professional or trusted advisor.
Not at all, having monitor edge my portfolio performance which has made a jaw dropping $473k from just the past two quarters alone, I have learned why experienced traders make enormous returns from the seemingly unknown market. I must say it's the boldest decision I've taken since recently.
@@hasede-lg9hj my partner’s been considering going the same route, could you share more info please on the advisor that guides you.

The adviser I'm in touch with is Vivian Carol Gioia. You can use something else, for me her strategy works hence my result. she provides entry and exit point for the securities I focus on.
I can not get enough of those debt free screams! it brings me a lot of joy!!
Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money. I started investing with $120k and in the first 2 months , my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and gets more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.
@Alejandro-Knox Quitting may not be the best approach if you ask me. This is where an AI comes into the picture. I barely have time to trade myself as my job swallows up most of my time. Alice Marie Coraggio, a licensed fiduciary whom has made me over 5 figures in profit in less than seven months, handles my investments. I could leave you a lead if you need help.
@Alejandro-Knox Alice Marie Coraggio
Lookup with her name on the webpage
@Alejandro-Knox it's a scam! Don't click on her website that comes up first on Google. I don't doubt the lady is a real person who does financial assistance but that first Google link is a fake website.
Growing up in Asia (Singapore), I remember after school thinking "finally school is over, now I can go home and study." When I came to America, I was shocked that most of my classmates don't do their homework. One girl had a mother who bought her Playboy magazine!! Today, this girl is homeless, addicted to drugs and sex. If more parents would instill academic achievements, more children would know the joy of success and achievements thus no homeless children.
Singapore is an extreme comparison though. I don’t want to say Singapore gave me PTSD but it definitely gave me a very distorted relationship with education growing up. Creativity is not encouraged, only your grades are valued. It was very hard to enjoy learning when pressure was coming from all sides. I always say, in Singapore, they don’t spend time on your strengths, they spend time on your weaknesses. You need to have good grades in every subject but even Einstein wasn’t a genius across the board. Singapore has one of the most unhealthy, superficial society, right up there with China, South Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong. While it’s true most people are academically high achievers, you really can’t say the same for their mental health and morals. On the other hand, there are certain parts of the US that are too relaxed with academia. Too much freedom is also not great, kids need some push and some pressure. There is no perfect society but I think the Europeans have the best balance between having fun, while also being mindful of learning.
And yet America is the leading country in world class research, arts, creativity music, sports, finance, literature etc. Maybe America is doing it right
@marcusgarvey7588 to be fair, those people are immigrants.

Hello all of you !
I am romanian and I listen to this podcast for a month or so and I must say first of all thanks for the lessons, I'm starting to be more wise with the money and second of all I am surprised about the students loans that americans have and about how much they cost in your country,I am shocked..I mean, I don't know how it works there but I am curious.. these are extra classes to have a different carrier or just college is that expensive there?
Last thing I want to say that I have a great respect for those who have 2,3 jobs.
Thank you !
Dave gives great advice, but many people haven't heard it. People think they'll get a better education if they spend 50,000 a year instead of 15,000 a year at a state school, they think that working during college will take away from the "college experience" which means getting drunk, lol, and not having time to party. 37% of students do work when they're in college and many many more are taking his advice. The guidance counselor in high school just hands you your loan papers and says you can pay it back because you're going to get a good job. The problem is that you might drop out like half the students do and you may not get that good job! And let's say you get a job making 80,000 a year. You'll pay $24,000 in taxes, you'll buy a new car for $30,000, you'll rent an expensive an apartment and you will buy all new furniture for it and you'll go out with your friends drinking every weekend and spent $200 on fast food. You won't have enough to pay back that loan! So you'll pay it back over 30 years and you'll think that's OK. Dave advises against all of that but some people want to live the good life and they don't realize it take sacrifices!
Tom..selling cars at Toyota.... You can direct people to buying within their means You can sell cars for cash! My son sold for Burnsville T, Rudy Luther T, Maplewood T, He sold so much volume that they didn't care...He just actually put the customer first -for 30 years
I had a budget of $10,000 and I told the gentleman that I wanted to not go over that, to get a car that was two or three years old with low mileage and one that would fit in my short parking space. That's what I got. He even offered to let me drive it to my house to see if it would fit. That's what he did and he sells more cars at that dealership than anyone else. Certainly he sells brand new ones but he took as much time as I needed. Put the customer first! He really did.
Where do you keep a tiny house and do you really want to have a composting toilet?
"Dave I know what you're going to say, but let me burn seven minutes walking through my long-winded self-defined options that don't make sense". Just ask your question and get to the point people.
I agree with Ken the military is not easier there's no part of easier in military that would go together other than your Liberty in the foreign countries which I thoroughly enjoyed😊
🎉🎉 is someone who did join the military although I thought seriously about it for 8 months I don't regret serving I'm a female and I was in the Navy and I would just have to say that you probably aren't going to get much enthusiasm about the military from non-military people in the military is kind of its own culture😅
I say for 1st caller, do army, if u survive and get out honorable discharged, ur get benefits for life. I am like him
Not knowing my skills/or strengths, 10years later, i still have a group that is backed by government and can get more help then a civlian can.
He'll, I have taken, 1 assessment (ken), and 2 more free, and still not sure wth I want to do. Lol.
My thing with giving money to parents is when they say, "Well I paid for this, that and the other." It's an awful feeling.
And that’s called manipulation. They can either treat you with respect or you don’t speak to them. That is such trash parenting (my mom pulled this & we haven’t talked in 3 years & I’ve never felt better)
I am also a mom now…it is my job to take care of my children. They didn’t ask to be alive. It’s my job to care for them & help them, guide them, & provide for them. They’re my children. Until they’re adults then they provide for themselves & NOT for me or my husband (their dad).
@@OopThereItIs77777- unless, they moved heaven and earth so secure a good future for their kids!
Dave is right, when you pay off your house and have no debt, it all feels different. Is am 56 years old my wife 54, we have been married 36 years, yes we married very young. We started with FPU 8 years ago. We had 68k left on our mortgage, no money in the bank no credit cards but I had broken my back in a car accident caused by a driver with no insurance. It was 50/50 I would walk again but after a lot of hard work I have my own business and even though medically disabled, I make 40k a year and do not get disability from the government. Through a lot of hard work we have worked through our huge medical bills and our mortgage and are debt free. We don’t have a huge house but it is ours and as we make changes to the yard and the interior so that it is more livable for my needs and just more to our liking, we get a lot of comments from our neighbors about how happy we always look working in our yard. I always tell them that it’s because it’s all ours, we don’t have to share it with the bank anymore. They always say they don’t know if they will ever be able to pay off their mortgages and we direct them to Dave Ramsey.

The difference between pacience and persistence also is what happens if at the end of a year and a 1/2 they still don't promote her She has wasted a year and a 1/2 for nothing.
Invest vs pay off debt: does the interest make more money than the debt is losing money? Whatever is having the biggest impact is where the money goes. It's a genuine (extremely risky) strategy to take out a loan for an asset that will make more money than the cost of the loan.

The first call was odd. Agree with Dave, lots of chaos.
Stay in debt and pay your tithing because that's gonna help you get out of debt. I would think the lord would want you well and in peace (debt free) before worrying about tithing
The rental, house story comes out in drips and drabs.
Re tiny homes: a constructor in the field told me that the average ownership is just 2 years ( based on his observation, not sure if there is any reliable source to back this up ) . I thought that was another interesting point to add for the caller inquiring about buying a ting home .

I hear Dave that housing keeps value but as a new home owner I feel Iike its a bit of a trap too. I've only owned my townhouse 2 years but I've had to pay the heating mechanic 5 times $250, and my SE windows lost thermal insulation so now I have to buy windows. All my sinks have needed new gaskets. I need to buy a new slider door as im loosing heat through the cjeap door. And taxes has gone up $150 in two years soooo not such a stable payment either
Sounds like you bought new construction garbage and are now shocked that it’s garbage
@aaronholmstrom390 That was a significant fear for me-buying a terribly constructed new Home. I purchased my first and forever Home, a 1945 Colonial Revival in late 2022, outright, in Cash. It was thoroughly inspected and was built SOLID. A 1940s construction is far better quality than something built recently.
@@aaronholmstrom390 In Alaska all construction is garbage. If you wanna buy a house in the Anchorage Muni. you tell me what you would choose. And prices are crazy, just have to choose your battles. At least this was built in a time where there were building codes but yes, products and construction has gone down hill since the 60s across the US
Complement to Ken, I think this is the best I've seen of Ken.
A Ford Explorer with over 100k is a nightmare. Its not like a Honda or Toyota. Bad call.

I’ve been a listener and fan of the show for many years. I’m very disappointed in how Dave treated George live on air a few weeks ago over the 4% withdrawal rate with no context on what was truly said. It was immature, and he really showed his arrogance. Makes you wonder how he treats people when the cameras are off.
It’s because Dave has to lie about safe withdrawal rates because he has been lying for decades
Agree
Yeah I work in a position where I meet the requirements to become a Lead Technician and I already have more Space Industry experience than our shops lead. When the engineers come and ask questions I know how to answer them and he just stands there dumbfounded and doesn't seem to even know what they are talking about. So I have to speak for my own shop even though I'm not supposed to cause I'm not the Lead Technician yet. I am even certified to work in 2 different departments and my Lead spends more time playing on his phone than seeking certifications in other parts of the factory or doing work lol
Such is life. He got here 3 months before me and his 2 years older than me and he is more buddy buddy with the supervisor. But I am 24 making 33.50 an hour with nothing but a high school diploma so you best believe I'm not gonna utter a word lol as long as they are paying me this good I don't care haha I'll have fun making him look bad with my work ethic and knowledge. Now in 2 years with the company if I haven't been promoted to Level 4 or given a lead position we gonna prolly start having problems. But for now I'm cozy😎
I also want to say this show has gotten a lot less personal now cutting people off mid sentence to go to commercial and push Ramsey products... heart breaking use to love the personal feeling you got listening to peoples stories and then Dave talking to them on a personal level, i just don't feel that from this show anymore.
@15:10 🤣
Hey dave , 🤫 , let ken speak.
Instead of paying off $99,000 from brokerage account, how about just paying down the mortgage by $40,000......just in case she loses her job..illness..accident....she would have$160,000 with high interest earning savings.
Robin from Phoenix: I feel sorry for your financial situation. You have no plan solid plans for the future.
Ken says "these degrees don't come with jobs." She was 58 when she completed her "last" degree and for what? She only make 4k a month.
She'll have to pay Capt gains on the stock sale so I'd split the difference pay off one year use stock for difference
Interesting
In other words maybe layout a 36 month plan. Some stock are 50 gain so if you sell 100g then 50 is added to income more or less, better to spread it over say 3 years. Less hurt.

My 1965 mobile home has more than doubled in Bentonville Arkansas. On my own 1/3 acre of land..20 blocks from Sam Walton's first store.
In all of his videos Dave says to invest 15% of your income. I thought I've heard him say that's 15% of your GROSS INCOME! This doesn't make sense! Doesn't he realize that Uncle Sam takes a big chunk of your income!!! Maybe I've heard wrong! Can someone confirm that he says 15% of Goss Income? It makes more sense if it's 15% of what one NET.
He definitely means 15% of gross. If you prefer to work with your net income, I see a lot of financial advisers recommend investing 20% of your net. 50/30/20 rule is a good rule of thumb that I really like. 50% of your net income for needs, 30% for wants, 20% for investing. If more than 50% of your income is going towards your needs, you are either living beyond your means, or you have an income problem.

Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. Building wealth involves developing good habits, such as regularly setting aside money for profitable investments.

Stop the retirement savings but keep giving giving tithes to a church??🤨
I'm not Christian, but I am spiritual. I can understand prioritizing tithes. It makes sense through a spiritual perspective. Say a person believes in God, that God provides and that he has given the person the strength, grace, patience etc to be able to do the work they do to earn money and provide for their family. Maybe they believe their job is part of their calling and a way to serve. Then from a spiritual perspective giving a small amount in tithes is a way to trust in that, to show gratitude, to be humble, to pull yourself back on human attachment in spending on crap they don't need. It's a way to remind yourself of what you do have and to help your community, the people you lean on through life. It can be a small amount. But if it is important to someone, they make it fit in the budget with intention. It also builds a muscle for when the person has more money. From an alternative spiritual perspective, people say in order to manifest more money you first have to manage the money you have well. I imagine Christians would believe that God will not bless you with more if you cannot manage what you already have, because he never gives us more than we can handle. Building the muscle now can mean the habit is built and you can give soo much more later. Live like no one else, so later you can live and give like no one else. ❤
I understand the concern about Churches possibly mishandling it, but that doesn't mean people shouldn't give in some way, with lots of thought put into who they give it to.
Idk how much tithes are. Is it like tell someone to cut their Netflix subscription($50/month)? Or more like a daily Starbucks($160/m)/fastfood/eating out($600/m)?
The root of the word tithe is the same as ten. It’s supposed to be 1/10th of your income.
