I hope this was helpful! Share with a friend to get them ready and let me know if there's something you bring with you that I forgot or is special to you!
a few things i would add: pen and papper for tracking things during the game(prize cards etc., enough for a regional, so about 16 pages) a pack of tissues for emergency during the game(a bad sneeze, these things happen more often than you think) a towel for refreshing yourself when you can(it gets really hot in these events, go to the restroom and wash your face and armpits, it's not a pretty sight but do what you can man) a wristwatch with a timer, you can never have enough time in these games
Also to tag onto the sleeves, be aware to not mix and match sleeve brands even if they say they're the same color. Different companies use a little different size sleeves and different version of the color. (Example. Dragonshields are a little taller than alot of sleeves)
this is the kind of content i like to see, especially for newer players. been a long time player of the game but never been to a regional. thanks for your advice on this video and i hope i can catch you around in indy!
Fun fact ive never played an official Pokémon torment's. ive only ever played online. but it was really cool to watch this video and learn some things about it!
I’m a bit late, but thank you so much for this!! A local competition is going to be on Saturday, and so I’m trying to put together my deck in time so I can compete. But then i realized, I don’t even know what to expect. I’ve only played for fun before online and in person. So all of this is so helpful!
Are art sleeves allowed at tournaments? My deck is currently in really nice atla sleeves which I want to bring to regionals but I don’t want to be disqualified for something as trivial as sleeves
@@DancStvnDanc that’s unfortunate. I’ll switch them to my solid sleeves in the future. Idk when I’ll get to use them cuz the Secaucus regional I was hoping to go to is filled now. I had no idea registration had gone live🥲
so like hypothetically if I didn't realize that ID is required because I'm dumb and I'm trans so my ID doesn't match the name I applied under what do I do?
You forgot the Nintendo switch in case if you play the video games tournament at the Pokemon world champion and also you will need a cellphone like if you play Pokemon go and you're gonna play Pokemon go at the tournament and that's all I need to say if you forget what you will need part of the tournament.
What do you mean? Regionals, Internationals and Worlds are back and Locals are running in full swing. The only thing that we don't have right now are League Cups and Challenges. Everything else in the Pokemon Competitive Circuit is in full swing in every region! We had 4 regionals in 4 weeks in 4 regions and a Japanese Champions League.

A note to players of other TCGs: Games like Lorcana do NOT allow note taking of any kind. You’ll be banned. It’s great that Pokemon allows this!
4:14 "Always make sure you have a new card of sleeves on your deck". 😂 I love when the human brain does a bamboozle

Glad you enjoyed! I hope I can make more content like this in the future!

I’m glad this was helpful! I wanted this to be content anyone can look back on whenever and hopefully it helped well :)
I'm going to my first regional in L.A. next weekend! Thanks for the tips. I didn't think about the trade binder, I need to put one together.
Just started getting into the game a week ago bought a deck🥰 thank you!!!
Welcome! Any questions you’ve got feel free to ask 😊
reminds me of theJtwittz Prof-it episode 13 or so!!! classic nostalgic content
That's an honor of a compliment, I learned so much from Jwittz when I began the game
Thanks for your help in the comments the other day me and my two friends were able to snag spots at regionals Secaucus because of it👍🏼
That is awesome! I'm so glad I could help!
I usually also bring extra dice in case anyone doesn’t have enough
I really needed this video, thank you so much!
Very helpful some very helpful tips to save money going to Indianapolis haven’t been to regionals seen Knoxville 2019
Someone said towel but we bring wet wipes as hands get grubby. Also could prevent disaster if you have mud butt during the day.
Going to my first local tournament in two days. Thanks!
Good luck!
You forgot an important one.
Bring yourself.
1:57 Actually I believe this is the other way around. You can use a clear die but your opponent can ask you to use a coin instead.
Thank you!
Thank you
This is really useful thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Came here from someone singing about Ketemine and Diamonds and how everything is a nightmare
You need to have a clear die because they need to see if there is a weight in it.
Can you bring a 100+ card box with a separate container of dice?
Awesome tips
deck leak? mew vmax?
bro gum isnt a snack lmao. otherwise good video

Art sleeves have to be licensed by Pokémon. Or you can use solid sleeves that are not licensed by Pokémon.

I better get the cards out of the bottom of my bag before Rahul comes to bag check
If you recently got a Pokémon ID, then where do you the physical copy of it?
Print it and laminate it. The official website should give you an option to print your ID.
There is always a fee on debit cards
I love these videos
Thank you!
How do you get a real ID? I know what my ID is, but don't have a physical copy. Do I get it at my first event?
A Real ID is just a license or something like that
@@RahulReddy I was referring to the player ID, like you have the red one with your name on it.
you forgot back pack
so like hypothetically if I didn't realize that ID is required because I'm dumb and I'm trans so my ID doesn't match the name I applied under what do I do?
I would contact support as quickly as I can, probably RK9 and try to get that fixed on the back end. I'm sure they'll be accommodating!

Do you not also need proof of vaccination?
Masks should only be worn for 4 hours without switching so min 3 needed.
You do, I mentioned that you can bring a photo/scan or bring it with you and I’m not showing my card
lmao if tourneys even existed still

Why does the randomizer die have to be clear?
Solid die can be rigged to be weighted to a certain number
