From what i could tell, it looked like there was a red hour glass shape on that black spider, leads me to believe that it's a poisonous black widow spider. I honestly think that you should carry bug & bee/wasp spray killers with you, so if you see something that's poisonous like more black widow spiders, or if you get attacked by some bees/wasps, fire ants, horse flies, etc you'll be able to stop the attacks against you from biting or stinging insects & you'll have a way of defending yourself against them. 🙂 As regards to getting your haircut or not, it's totally up to you. My only question is what would your wife & kids think about you either growing your hair out or getting it cut? 😀 If their opinions of you getting your haircut or not doesn't matter to them, then do whatever you want to do by growing it out, or keeping it short. 🙂

Al, that is so nice of you to re do this yard for the family of the deceased. I became a Widow in June of 2022. I had to find someone New to take care of my yard/grass. The man that was coming to do it, was away, and before he could get here, most ALL of my neighbors had cut their lawns about 3 times, so you know mine was tall. We have lived in this home for over 25 years. My husband has helped numerous neighbors with leaf & snow removal. Do you think, that ANY of those neighbors offered to cut my Tall Grass for me ?? NO, NOT ONE !
