It was a fateful day, I was crossing Tindivanam towns 1030 AM without knowing that at 0500 hrs AM, the great monarch melliflous carnatic music was snatched away from us in an accident. Even after three decades + Iam and the music world cannot reconcile that we lost the greatest musician of the Century. Bow in reverence to the colossus ofCarnatic Music
There is a song " sangeeta gnanamu bhakti vina " which is applicable to some who dislike this kind of music. In fact Carnatic music is God's gift to the mankind and at present age we are absolutely fortunate enough to listen to this kind of music, when one is not able to sing on his own. So thankful for uploading such a masterpiece
Accompaniments were Sri. Lalgudi Jayaram (violin) & Sri. Vellore Ramabhadran (mridangam) . Ghatam artist not known.. The violinist could have been Nagai Muraleedharan ( Vidwan Sri LGJ stopped accompanying vocalists around then, I believe) .
A magnificent concert, hats off for such a masterpiece, but I am very sorry that Thani avartham is cut short. In fact I have seen in many concerts that once Thani avartham starts many leave their seats, which is disheartening and not treating all the artists similarly and if this trend continues, one may not see Thani avartham in future. Hence I appeal through this platform to listen to Thani avartham and encourage mridangam artists also.

Father and son accompanied.. ❤ 🙏🏻. Disturbance in recording, breaking the concert and also low sound.

Violin is definitely Sri Nagai Muralidharan, mridangam I am not sure but it probably is Guruvayur Dorai.
