My sister saw it yesterday and said it's a must see. See said it was hard watching Robert De Niro in character. That is a testament to his skills. I am Apache. I don't typically watch movies made about Native Americans because they are rarely accurate. I see people complaining about the narrative. It is based on one person's perspective. It was a best selling book and we have to remember those are the types of books that get turned into Big Hollywood movies. I definitely want to see it. I love Leonardo DiCarpio. Do i think it is 100 percent accurate....no. Will I be entertained..... probably. Movies are made for entertainment. There are plenty other books to read on the Osage Murders if this one is not to your liking. The book by Grann just happens to bring widespread attention to this atrocious moment in history.
I just watched this yesterday as well. It's absolutely a tragic story. Truly monstrous acts of duplicity and dishonor and murder. I find De Niro, DiCaprio and with capital letters LILY GLADSTONE earned their Oscar noms for their performances. If the the three don't get them the Oscars will look foolish for the snubs especially GLADSTONE. She's breathtaking.
