YUP. And hunters. And preppers. And target shooters. And even AF REMFs like me. And if we raised an army of ten million volunteers, I guarantee they would all show up armed and with proper gear for the weather. Their own stuff, or from the people that have 4 ARs gathering dust, lining up saying take this one, it shoots real good. The DoD would probably have to standardize calibers - probably 9mm, 556, 308, 50cal, and those new calibers. Yes people will show up with 50 cals.

The MIRV or Multiple Independently targetable, re-entry vehicle is a separate nuclear bomb. My submarine that I was on, the USS John Adams, SSBN 620, was capable of carrying 16 Polaris C3 missiles with10 bombs per missile. The newer Ohio class boomers, (what we call fleet ballistic missile subs), can carry 24 Trident Missiles with 14 warheads per missile. They retrofitted the four oldest Ohio class subs into Guided Missile subs, by replacing the first two missile silos with a egress/ingress shed to deploy Navy SEALS, complete with mini subs, and the remaining 22 silos can carry about 7 tomahawk guided missiles.

You don’t need to freak out about nuclear weapons, my generation did that for you, trust that they most likely won’t ever be used again. There’s an unwritten world policy called M.A.D. “Mutually Assured Destruction”, anyone who launches a nuclear weapon (or uses one) will cause all other countries that possess nuclear weapons to use theirs.

Drone aircraft can be as small as dragon flies or the size of 2 person planes. They have stealth drone ships, helicopters, small sail boats. The small sail boats dont have a working sail but there is a large spike above water. These are used to detect mines. There is extensive use of lasers to replace many explosives. The rail gun is a video you want to see, if you haven't already. The only propellent to get the munitions to the target magnetism. It has no explosive but its incredible powerful. Also, the Air Force is beginning aerial fuel tankers that refill planes in mid air, but they are also unmanned drones.

When it comes to ICBMs, nuclear or not, they are MIRV-capable. MIRV means that every missile can carry 6 independent warheads that can strike different targets. So say that you fire one missile and when it goes ballistic, the 6 warheads seperate from the nose cone and home on their target. You can also adjust the yeild of the warhead, so you can do full-on strikes or more strategic missions.

Getting in a car accident, being hit by lightning, being attacked by an aggressive person or animal, etc., are vastly more likely dangers to us, and even then, most people make it through life to die in bed at old age.

This was told to me by a soldier from another country as we drank a beer in a corner bar. He believed what he said because he had lived it. I wrote it down because I didn't want to forget it.
Other countries all agree on one thing. If they are under attack & they radio for help, they all pray it is the Americans that receive the call. If the Americans receive the call they will tell you hunker down, they are on the way. They don't ask what the situation is, chances are they already know the situation & wait until they’re there for specifics. They don’t try to figure out the best way to do the rescue, if they say they have your back & that they’re on the way, then they have your back & that they’re on the way.
First you hear gunfire from 1 direction & then you hear the report of a 50 caliber, once, twice & sometimes 3 times, then silence. At this point you are sure an American sniper has either taken out the commander or sent him packing for his own safety. Suddenly gunfire will erupt again but this time it’s only the sound of American made firearms heard as they mop up the situation.
Another way Americans are different than the rest of the world is when other countries soldiers lose their commanding officers they are told to dig in & wait for further orders. On the other hand the Americans go on the attack if they lose their commander. Their commanders are there to hold them back, not for their safety but for the enemies. If you injure or kill an American, they are coming for you & there is very little that will detour them from getting to you. The Americans never retreat. They may make a tactical withdrawal but that only comes after they’ve expended all their ammunition, set off all their explosives, broken their knives & lost their fingernails ripping the throat out of the enemy… But they WILL be back prepared for the long fight.
While the Germans are German, The Irish are Irish, The French are French & the Italians are Italian, the Americans are all of these & more. They are the best of every country on this planet as well as the worst, often at the same time, & where the people of the rest of the world are a bit stubborn & proud of their country, the Americans take it to a whole new level. It’s like they took a little stubborn pride from each country & combined it together & while most countries pride & stubbornness is like a 1 foot thick wall 10 feet high, the Americans are a 50 foot thick wall 100 feet high.
It’s best not to mess with Americans, They’re stubborn prideful, calculating and sometimes just plain bat shit crazy. They’ve trained with firearms all their lives and can do things that leave you awestruck as to how they were able to pull off the shot. They are raised playing game such as cowboys and Indians, cops and robber and war type games as if it was ingrained into their DNA. Even their computer games are ones that teach them how to fight a war and win, it’s terrifying to some degree. They’re a nasty lot to have against you but you sure are glad to see them when pinned down without hope of escaping.

As we got older we went into the hallways with backs to the wall that was closest to outside. There was always complete silence. That was in case of a nuclear bomb. By the time i got to high school (1972) we only had fire drills. I live 25 miles away from the Naval War College and 40 miles from Electric Boat where the hulls of the subs are built. Our government is notorious for implementing technology into our society to indirectly train kids at the toy level. When developing grenades they made them the exact size and weight as an American baseball which was huge for kids growing up at the time. Footballs and other sports have had their spotlights in weapons produced for our military. Flight simulators were pretty popular teaching kids how to fly which was used by the bombers of 9/11 and a huge controversy of games should be that realistic. Xbox controllers are used for drones in the military another kid prepping technology. Kind of shows you what we will be training for in the future with all the new space games coming out conditioning kids to getting used to flying space crafts and performing dog fight battles in space video games.
