Jody Miller - “Something In My Eye” (Capitol) 1966

Hailing from Phoenix, Arizona but raised in Oklahoma, Jody made her first recordings in 1963 with the album, “Wednesday’s Child Is Full Of Woe”. Her first chart success came the following year when “He Walks Like A Man” peaked at #66 on the Hot-100. Later that year she released a cover of the Beach Boys’ “In My Room”.
The following year David Gates wrote and arranged the single, “Never Let Him Go”, which David released as a solo single in 1974, as “Never Let Her Go”. The association with David Gates continued for three more singles, “Something In My Eye” (1966), “How Do You Say Goodbye” (1967) and “I Knew You Well” (1968)
