Something of note about fuzzy blocking to my anime game players out there, fuzzy blocking in this game is much more difficult than it would be in something like xrd because of the giant cancel window each normal has into either specials or more normals. Squiglys low/overhead mixup can come out at a completely variable timing depending on whenever the squigly decided to cancel, pair this with assists and suddenly fuzzy blocking becomes almost impossible. Reacting to the overhead also becomes impossible due to the assists creating screen clutter as well.
I'm glad this finally came out, it's been a long time since I last played Skullgirls due to time and life in general This was definitely a main thing with the game I struggle with the most, and while I might not have time to grind anymore, I can always come back to this as a refresher
trying to explain mixups as a concept to people newer to fighting games is extremely hard without ignoring out all of those fringe cases of “well, x option can work but the opponent can do y to beat these two options but leaving option z safe”, but then you risk oversimplifying it. im not a skullgirls player (yet) but i think you explained the idea of mixups pretty well
Frame 2 upload watch. Good stuff as usual. I have no idea why you don't have WAY more subs for the quality of content you put out there. Keep up the good work regardless!
great video. i got like 300hrs and i suck at learnin stuff. so this kind of content helps me alot. also cant wait to watch your tournament runs. ive been dissecting hella competitive content to improve
Thanks Ziad, you have done alot of good work for the community showing guides that beginners can use as as reference to follow. I am very gratefull for that.
I thought this would never come out. As a fan of these guides I hope guides come out for other small titles like idk Killer Instinct or virtua fighter maybe? Just throwing out some ideas. Love your content ❤❤❤
This guide series was amazing, and your format/editing is very entertaining. I'm not sure if I'm going to dive into Skullgirls (I've always wanted to) cuz I'm knee deep in BG3 and SF6 but these videos were a great introduction to the game
I've regotten into Skullgirls, now with intent to actually learn a thing or two with mechanics. These have been supremely helpful. Ps do you think you might do individual character guides? Like the best tips and tricks? Like I'm pretty decent with Painwheel but I know I can do better.
The main reasons I probably won’t do a character guide is a) Dekillsage has a character overview that goes over every characters basic and b) i don’t really play a lot of characters in this game so beyond my team (Annie Peacock and Squigly) I wouldn’t be able to give an accurate guide that would be up to my standards. I recommend looking for variance neutral guide on Painwheel and asking people in the Get Gr8 discord server for specific help
actually thats not the devs thats sony's mandate on playstation. the game is cheap on PC and most people play it on there AND the online is free, you should play it there
I mean people have to learn the way how to beat your stuff too. You can see p much every reset in maybe like 50-100 hours of play depending on who you fight, but figuring out how to beat them is less about time and more about critical thinking. There are people with 1000+ hours that still don’t know how to beat certain resets because they just don’t know how. I made this so you can figure it out yourself
@@Gabriel.780.i well thats not a problem. the quick match feature on the game works really well, and if u wanna find newer players to fight you can join discord servers like Mix masters, Hunters Hustles beginner tournament, Skullgirls get gr8 or even the main Skullgirls discord where you can find some plenty of people that would be willing to play and help you learn the game. It might be difficult at the start (it is for EVERYONE) but if you enjoy it and stick with it, you are guaranteed to improve and meet a lot of cool people
Wow, what a plug! Am I famous now?
yea dont let it get to ur head this is the biggest community online

And its a good thing she kept everything in this :)
Wish the devs would make it so I don’t need psn to play online
actually thats not the devs thats sony's mandate on playstation. the game is cheap on PC and most people play it on there AND the online is free, you should play it there
