What a criminally underviewed guide. This is the best explanation of pushblocking I've ever seen for any fighting game. From the music, to the presentation, to the intuitive structure of the tutorial. What an amazing job, thank you so much for this guide. This answers soooo many questions I've had about pushblocking as a general mechanic for so long, let alone for just Skullgirls, and most importantly, it gives me a solid, fundamental framework as to how I should be thinking about and using/getting around pushblock. Can't thank you enough.
Man just got this game and I cannot thank you enough for how good of a guide this is to actually explaining how these work to a person who has never played a fighting game before
Your writing and editing is phenomenal. I love the short-form show/explanation style shown here and the progress bar at the bottom of the screen is indeed a great idea. You put a bunch of good information in an easily digestible form that doesn't overstay its welcome either. Great video, thank you for making it!
Is it recommended to have pushblock macro? If so what buttons? I remember dekillsage posting something about a really good macro for it but I dont remember it
Recently they made it so you don't need a perfect same frame input to dash with PP, so it's nice to have but doable to play the same way without one. If you only have two macros I prefer assist macros because if you don't same frame input assist you get button plus assist which can be really bad. For the PP macro I would use LP+MP because you get a jab on whiff which is quick and has good frames. But if you play Peacock use all three punches so you can hold items and pushblock. Curious if Sage meant something more though.
the bar at the bottom that tells you how much time you have to read each subtitle is such an incredible idea. very well made video

I needed something like this, I can already feel my defensive game improving just by having a better understanding of the system. THANK YOU
