What type of electronics are on these things, specifically looking at the 40? I am drawn to the Chinese excavators not for quality but because of long term maintenance concerns. Not excited about the screens/proprietary stuff on the name brand machines -- stuck at the dealerships.
We'll be around for awhile, so far we haven't seen any significant loss in resale value. This machine would pay for itself fast, then upgrade when you feel the need.

Go Japan built, Hitachi/deere , kubota, takeuchi. Hitachi would be basic your looking for.
