    It's fun to see your videos. We are just getting cucumber seeds in the ground. We are just now hitting 60 degrees during the day. Our bean seeds are just sprouting. So you give me hope for the summer.

    I'm so impressed by your garden 😍 It's so bushy and wonderful, and everywhere in the leaves there are vegetables and fruits hiding 😍 I will grow a bushy garden this year 😁 the tomatoes and onions are in the ground, next is cucumber and melons, peppers and chilis. I live in Sweden so we have had our last frost 2 weeks ago. Now it's around 25-28 degrees Celsius and everything just explodes 😂

    locally in where I am, we have a drink makes with shredded cucumber, simple syrup/honey, and fresh water (can be mineral, still, or sparkling) served cold and that is one satisfying drink during hot summer weather (as in all year long from where I come from)

    Your garden looks lush and healthy and bountiful 😊🩷 I’m growing about a dozen varieties of peppers! I’ve got shishito.. to grill,pepperonci to pickle, jalapeños to pickle/ferment, red mushroom and Datil because they germinated.. don’t know what I’m going to do with them 😜, sweet banana to pickle/ferment, sweet carnival and lunchbox for fresh and freezing.. cubanelle, aconoga, hatch, Santa Fe grande,.. no specific plan .. I’m just finding I like spicier foods/flavors.

    • @ShepherdingPeppersFarm
      @ShepherdingPeppersFarm  4 месяца назад

      Datils have a habanero heat level so they are lovely in a spicy jam or dehydrated into a powder (to better control the heat) and subtly added into sauces!

    Do you have a video on how your overwinter your peppers? I tried to overwinter about 6 pepper plants and only one survived. 😩 where do you keep them? And how do you prevent gnats if you keep them indoors? Thanks!!

      I'm going to make one this fall. I do have one that I filmed last fall when I first did the process but we had some ups and downs. I plan to make another this fall when we go through the process again to add in things that I felt could have been done better last winter.

    In deep south do you grow your pepper plants in full afternoon sun or morning sun?

    • @ShepherdingPeppersFarm
      @ShepherdingPeppersFarm  4 месяца назад

      I designed the garden strategically with the trellises so that as the sun rotates around the garden all the plants are provided shade at different times. The peppers are interplanted all over, so some get morning shade and others get afternoon shade. I don't think about it much when planting, just so long as they are all given some shade to help with the excessive heat and sun. I hope that helps ❤️

    Hey my friend, are the serano peppers supposed to be green or red? I have several that are full grown and very green. Thank you so much 😊
    Also what type of garlic do you grow? Soon I need to preorder my garlic seed heads
    Thank you so much 😊

    • @ShepherdingPeppersFarm
      @ShepherdingPeppersFarm  4 месяца назад +1

      Serranos are eaten green the majority of the time! But they get much sweeter (and much hotter) if left to turn red.
      I actually grew my garlic from grocery store garlic cloves the first year, so I have no clue what they were originally! I have always just saved cloves from the home grown garlic every year since to replant 💚
