Thanks for the video on this Topdon J2534 demonstration. I've been a technician for more than 55 years and this tool fits the bill. I've also done all the programming in the shops that I have worked for.
@Topdon Official Your concise and honest presentation is much appreciated. A company's product is no better than the people they choose to represent it. Cheers
OT but I would like you to do a explanation video about the DOIP protocol range as there are many different types and the aftermarket scan tool don't support all of them.

Is the Rlink J2534 compatible with 2019 Jeep Compass Trailhawk? Also, connected to a laptop, will this diagnose without needing to subscribe to witech? I'm a DIY guy and these newer cars are so frustrating with all the advanced dual battery bells and whistles. I'm looking for a tool that will help me troubleshoot my car and families cars. Like a 2014 honda, 2009 honda accord, 2019 Kia. But, mainly . I need it for my Jeep, which has been giving me headaches lately 😫
Thank you for your inquiry regarding the Rlink J2534's compatibility. The Rlink J2534 does support Jeep's WiTech as well as Honda's HDS; however, the original software for Kia may require future updates. Please note that access to these proprietary software systems typically necessitates a subscription. The Rlink serves primarily as a pass-thru interface. For further details, you may refer to the following link: web-file.topdon.com/topdon-web/information_download/RLink-J2534-Sell-Shee.pdf.
Hi Glen, we provides a list of compatible programming software for the rLink J2534. Functionality is dependent upon the software's capabilities;(the rLink J2534 functions as a pass-through interface.)
Thank you for your insightful feedback. For a clearer understanding of the differences, I recommend reviewing the comparison available:www.topdon.com/pages/comparison?classificationCode=001005&nowSelect=1793489314150486016
Great video! I was looking something like this, but I didn't find in description that RLink J2534 support Xentry OpenShell, especially vediamo doesn't work with j2534 devices, recommended to use Star C4, C6 VCI. Found RLink X7, is it official TOPDON product? Thanks for info :)
Hello, RLink X7 is TOPDON product and This is sold to a limited number of countries. RLink X7 and Rlink Lite both support Xentry Openshell and Vediamo, for Rlink Lite vehicle diagnostic software coverage, please visit: www.topdon.com/pages/pro-down?fuzzy=RLink%20Lite

Thanks for this video, but I do not understand the advantage to buy this J2534dongle since it works just with OEM software . OEM software cost a lot of money and for different cars it soon gets very expansive and you need Laptops extra. Will it not be wise to buy a professional aftermarket diagnostic tool ( topdon, launch, autel etc) that supports all these protocolls and many different brands?(sorry for my english itś not my native language) regards
Many technicians need to use OEM software for troubleshooting complex vehicle issues, as most car models require it for programming. However, OEM diagnostic VCIs typically only support their own brand, making them quite expensive. To address this, we've introduced the more affordable RLink J2534 and RLink Lite, both of which are compatible with multi-brand OEM software, providing a cost-effective solution for technicians.
Thank you for your message. Rlink J2534 supports GM, please note that utilizing it requires compatibility with the GM diagnostic software, TLC. For further details, you may visit: www.acdelcotds.com/subscriptions
Hello if you want to diagnose new Benz with Doip, we recommend considering Rlink Lite: www.topdon.com/products/RLink-Lite. Rlink J2534 doesn't support Doip fyi.
@@TopdonOfficial tanks for getting back to me BUT that wasn't my question. My question was. Does it supports the Engineering version the VW OEM software, which is the one used to do coding and programming?
@@hivepixels Are you asking about ODIS or ODIS-E? VW OEM software includes both ODIS and ODIS-E. ODIS supports online programming and coding for VW, while ODIS-E supports offline programming and coding. If you are referring to ODIS-E, only the RLink Lite is compatible, as the RLink J2534 does not support it.
Hello, RLink J2534 is available to support programming the keys produced by the manufacturer. If the key chip is made by other IMMO devices, it cannot be programmed with OEM software.
