Just got my full foil dragonmaid today, for years it was my dream and seeing you really try to help out new players just gets me more pumped up to play with it, thank you, truly.
I don’t understand why you made that play on the first test hand. After adding chamber from kitchen, why didn’t you just discard chamber, ss it with hosp and add changeover, ss nocto, use kitchen and noc for spheres, and use chamber and lorpar in hand to make sheuo? End board would be sheuo spheres tidying and droplet. Way stronger
That play is much better. Idk y I tunneled on adding downtime there when it is something I search so rarely and searching changeover there is a no brainer. An honest mistake. But yea, definitely make the sheou play.
as an old player who got back into YuGiOh through Duel Links and Master Duel thank you for this. Getting back into the TCG seemed a bit rough cause so much to catch up on but atleast Dragon Maids can ease me back into it
Awesome guide. Helped me out a lot figuring out why I felt like my hands in master duel were bricking so much when in reality I just didn't see the plays. That being said, I need to know one extremely important thing. Where can I get my hands on that amazing playmat? I keep seeing it in your videos but can't find anywhere to order it.
Ok. The same thing happened to me in a duel. I got lost so bad. But managed to win. This is the reason why I want to master this deck before moving to other deck cuz this is a fun deck. And because dragonmaids. I appreciate your teachings!
In the first combo, you should’ve ended on sheou, spheres, tidying. Instead of sending lorpar to the gy, send chamber. Ss chamber with hospitality and search changeover. Go into sheo with either kitchen or chamber and lorpar. Then go into striker with the other little maid. Ss the nocto and then go into spheres with the nocto and other maid. Sure the deck can be easy to navigate, but it still does require skill to make use of every card. Imo, it is one of the best decks if you throw in a small dragunity and rocket package.
@@wu2king842 it depends on your play style and how you want to build the deck. i have a pure version (40), dragonmaid and dragunity version (60), and dragonmaid dragunity rokket version (60). they all play different and offer different advantages/disadvantages. the pure version focuses more on getting to sheou and spheres every turn, being backed up by backrow which offers multi layered interruptions so it doesnt lose to mass destruction or drnm. dragonmaid/dragunity offer more explosiveness/combo potential. going first if you open up full combo, its almost a free win against combo decks. this version also lets you run hand traps that can possibly simplify the game state. i have a 40 card version on nexus and a 60 version on master duel. dragonmaid/gragunity/rokket is full gas. it can play through a lot more that the other variants. but you dont have much room for hand traps. this has the best follow ups because your second board (if borken) is just as good as your first board.
@@wu2king842 it honestly depends on the deck youre playing. i have an ancient warriors deck that focuses on breaking your established board. if i ran hands traps in it, maybe the ash or imperm does nothing and they still full combo. id rather run other cards like kaijus or evenly to easily get through the board. in general though, build your hand traps around what you have problems with. besides that, the maid/dragunity/rokket deck can push pass 3-4 interruptions with great hands. but this is yugioh and sometimes you wont be able to play through 1 interruption (at times). but it does give you a lot to push through with. like i said, all the variants have pros and cons. just depends on what you value and how you want to play.
This was perfect thank you. Definitely helped a lot of us out for sure. Did hurt bc I'm not shelling out money for the prosperitys and it came in big in some of these hands. The feels of a budget player :_(
Thank you so much for this, i started picking up the deck this week and trying to learn in but I was quite lost at times and not getting much out of my plays so now I feel more ready and can practice !!
Very good video, thanks!! I appreciate you showing sample hands and including that absolute brick of a hand because that's what I usually open when I go first lol. Not to mention nearly every single time I end on Tidying Spheres, they have a Raigeki in hand and I cry inside
Thank you thankyou thank you for this guide! While i got the basics on my own the extensions and situationals are always confusing me, this helps clear up so much!
Thanks for the help. I was able to make and play a Dragonmaid deck in Master Duel with the help of this video. I still have issues with the deck, primarily being in danger of running out of time due to all the possible combos in the deck, and I keep forgetting that the humanoid maid's tag effect activates at the start of the battle phase which has let me to end the battle phase without attacking because I though I was still in main phase 1.
Changeover being in the GY instead of in the hand doesn't matter because you used it the same way anyway. The only difference was that one of your fusion mats was in your hand in this case.
Thank you so much for this. I really was a bit confused on how to go about using everything, so more often than naught I thought I was doing something wrong. The whole combo with Nurse was new, and I look forward to trying this out in Master Duel.
Idk why but that starting board seems weak to me, at least in Master Duel. My Spheres are getting ash bloosomed or called by the grave everytime, leaving me with an emtpy field. Also tidying is dead after that for the rest of the opponents turn aswell until i get another Dragonmaid onto the field. 8/10 times its an auto loss bcs combo decks just otk you.
Called by is at 1 in the tcg, so called by happens less often than it does in master duel. But yea, spheres is weak to those cards, and I mention its one of the reasons I play designator. Just protect the spheres haha. The deck is a deck that snowballs, so if a deck pushes toooo much power tuen 1 before maids can get set up, it can be very hard. This is why we run blowout cards like nibiru and droplets. Hope this helps
on the kitchen ernus double pop ash hand. why not search changeover with chamber for 1st turn sheou? is it too much of a liability? or is 2 bounces way too good?
I wish it stopped at Gen3.... yeah I'm old. I think it's a neat archetype, all this shuffling things around so your opponent(or yourself against it) can't do anything is too much for me.
I haven't tested it too much. I've heard from others that it's a cool version. Maybe I'll test it in the future, but currently I'm enjoying the pure variant
Sheuo is the dragon for chamber. It is quite obvious when you look at house aswell. Dont think she will get a main deck dragon because of that Maybe not... house to me looks like big chamber
You can tell who's dragon it is by the name. Sheou is just a misspelling of house. This is the same for all dragons and their maid counterparts. Chamber is going to get a dragon... eventually
Looks like he special summons nocto dragon, and sacrifices a dragon maid to link him, so that you can ss it back to the field to activate its effect and also make spheres
My TCG lists are playable in Master Duel if you swap out small worlds for Maxx Cs. I personally don't play master duel, so I wouldn't be able to help in that department. Sorry : (
I don't like how no one respects kitchen as much as the others. because it paired with hosp or even send-off, does better than 1 parlor or 1 chamber. and if you aren't playing enough dm spells, you're denaturalizing the deck to an other version of DL.
Striker dragon, from what I gathered, is primarily used as a bridge card to get into Hieratic Spheres. If you start a dragonmaid + hospitality, or a dragonmaid + Noctovision, you can play the dragonmaid, link it for Striker, then play Hospitality to replay the dragonmaid and go into Spheres, thus getting a lot of potential setup, or you can go for Striker, special into Noctovision, then go into Spheres for the one bounce that turns into a dragonmaid. The primary point of Striker definitely seems to be to get Spheres. If you can't reliably get into it (Say you get Parlor but no Hospitality or Noctovision), you probably wouldn't go into Striker.
@@TrxPsyche Parlor is reliable Sphere's though, you send Tidying, link Parlor away for Striker, Banish Tidying for gravyard eff, special Parlor, link Parlor and Striker for Spheres.
