Mind blogging revelations. Racism prevails in all other countries and UAE may not be an exception. Let the people from other countries understand the care to be taken to live cautiously there and decide appropriately ahead .
Have u heard about the new scandel in dubai? Apparently the ruler was torturing his girls and she escaped two weeks ago on an American boat with an American guy and a finish lady. Now total of six ppl are missing.
Loy Machedo. What the fuck did you do to your God gifted face? Do you realize that person will not be able to enter the paradise if he/she has tattoos on his/her bodies? Do you realize that having tattoos can cause MRI complications and many chronic disease, because tattoos block several functions in human body.
I am an IIT graduate working in India. My parents have been pressurizing me to move to some gulf countries for the last 2-3 years. Thank God, youtube recommended me this video.
Believe me gulf countries are very good for engineers. I stayed 15 years in gulf made decent savings and retired at the age of 50. For labors, I don't recommend
I was born, raised, resided in the UAE for whole my life. Being from an origin country that's suffering from a constant war. It frightens me they want to cancel my Visa and throw me to a place I know nothing about in a middle of constant warzone, questioning my upbringing, and my existence, remembering that I used to chant the UAE's national anthem every morning everyday in school. Still being treated like this is pretty horrible and upsetting.
You can't be out of UAE unless you've have done something against the law... However whatever happens to your original country why you blaming Dubai for it??? Fix your origin brother and help your country to Rais up
i was born in abudhabi, i lived in dubai in my early years although am an arab but i 100%agree with you, its a merage life there isnt my dad at 60 facing the same issues oyu are talking about i salute you sir .
Fully agree with what Loy has to say, went to Dubai in 1999 with job with Mashreqbank at AED 14,000/- pm, when I left in 2008 my salary was AED 42,000/- pm of course with a different bank (UNB) and 2 promotions. Started as Senior Officer with Mashreqbank left as Vice President ; UNB, I felt most of what Lou says and also what 1 ex American Express Bank boss concluded and told me while driving around Dubai. Since 2008 I am in Canada with a regular permanent job not as high paying as in Dubai however the best part is that my son like me is working as a professional Banker here in Canada
YES MY FRIEND .YOU,,RE RIGHT I WAS IN DUBAI 33YRS AGO. AFTER MY CONTRACT I ,VE DECIDED TO GIVE UP DUBAI. NOW I,VE SETTLE IN TAIWAN FOR 33 YRS .SINCE I LEFT DUBAI.REALLY MAKE NO SENSE STAYING IN DUBAI WE,RE THE PEOPLE WHO DEVELOPE DUBAI. THE LOCALS DONT DO TRASH WORK. ALL THE WORK IS DONE BY INDIAN . PAKISTAN.PHILIPPINE AND OTHER ASIAN PEOPLE. I BELIEVE AND TRUST WHAT YOU SAY ABOUT DUBAI. REALLY ITS JUST A MSTTER OF TIME. AS YOU GET OLD NO BODY KNOWS THE PERSON. I WAS IN SHARJAH FOR 5 YRS WORKING AS A CHEF IN CHINESE RST..ALMOST 10 YRS . I ,VE SPEND MY LIFE IN BUR DUBAI 5 YRS. THANK VERY MUCH FOR YOUR ADVICE MY FRIEND.
Wow, this is one of the rare cases wherein a find a good, solid, helpful video on RUclips that is not fake and plastic and propaganda based or a music video or a Bollywood promo. This was brilliant and seemed very genuine and true. Please do more such on other issues, day Thailand, current job situation in India etc. And you deserve way more views and likes. All the best for the future. Also, could you talk about your profession as a personal branding strategiest?
Thank you very much for this, brilliant video.. Its worse than capitalism, its ruthless exploitation. The west has capitalism, but there is a certain degree of regulation that protects rights. I invested a lot of money in Dubai, through an advert in London, where I live. Sounded very respectable, brilliant advertising. Its all gone, no replies to all my requests. The adverts are still there, and people are getting sucked in.
Travelled back in 2013 looking for a job there got the job but somehow i did’nt felt good about Dubai. I thank my stars that i took the right decision to not to pursue with that offer of 5000 AED. A friend of mine working with RAK Bank is still sitting at 5000 AED for the past 9 years no appraisal nothing, dubai people is living in a delusional world and they have no choice yo move anywhere because of the addictive fake lifestyle of Dubai. Loy, just founf your channel today, it is a goldmine of knowledge mate. Look forward ro more.
Finally I hear someone talk about something I strongly feel every day of my life. We expatriates basically belong nowhere. And that feeling of not belonging..that feeling of not having anywhere to go, of not being able to call any place "home". Thats the most terrible feeling ever. When you go back to you home country but it looks foreign. When your own relatives feel strangers. And you can't even turn around and come back to where you grew up because there is nothing left there.
Something like expensive, job security, capitalism etc is kinda part of globalisation, the worst part of Dubai is it's hypocrisy, no man's land, very less humanity, extreme racism, disrespect for Indian subcontinent
You're absolutely right in everything you said .. I've been 12 years in Abu Dhabi and all most a year in Dubai and I saw and suffered every single thing you talked about, in less than a year in Dubai I found jobs three times and none of them I stayed at more than 4 months for unreasonable reasons .. The last job I had I lost it because the boss just didn't like me, so he was just looking for troubles with me to just find a good reason to fire me .. Thank you very much for stressing these reasons ..
"it literally kills you" the hardest and bitterest part is being forced to leave a country where you spent 3, 5, 10 or even 20 years with all you unforgettable memories, friends. just seems like you whole life, then finding yourself in another country completely new to you... i am telling you from personal experience, the thoughts and flashbacks of your time in UAE will haunt you forever, 10 years is a big part of one's life, and i know for fact tens of thousands of other people from different nationalities are in the same situation just like me, forbidden to go near a place that was once their whole world, with memories in every street, corner ,and every bit of that world has a piece of them........... you could do this with an animal, take them from country to country and even them with take a bit to adapt, not with human beings,,, i say this only happens when you give power to the devil.
Ha no no the UAE donated To Lebanon and dont try to make UAE look bad the UAE cares about everyone and every country like The UAE met the India President He was very kind and we respect anyone from any country we love everything but we dont love war God bless you and your family stay safe long live the UAE🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪❤
Iam a charted accountant had a good job there , realized all the issues highlighted by you and resigned and moved back to delhi . And trust me iam super happy and living way better.. My friends at work were like are you crazy who leavs dubai .. They are still crying for their miserable life there iam growing everyday ...
Perfect... Absolutely professional approach.. I agree with you bro. I am working in dubai for last 17 years. As said we can lead a luxury life but not secured job, racism persist and no career growth for expatriate. Its just golden cage.
You forgot to mention probation period for jobs.Your employer can terminate your employment at any time before six months with no excuse,no notification.Once you are terminated before six months u automatically get a one year labour ban from the ministry of Labour. Most employers will terminate u once they discover their business is not lucrative, what happens to the employee?suffering, ban, stress, look for new job must be skilled with higher salary. This happened to me,it was hell.
Even if they fire u they 'll not put any kind of ban. Now ban policy is changed and subject to case to case basis. Companies in UAE will only ban you on special reason but not due to job termination at probation of after probation.
Ambareen If you do not finish 6 months probation the government gives u a one year ban.Check well. Most people do not know the laws and dark sides in UAE.When companies realies business is not lucrative they can layoff as many employees as possible. It happened to me.UAE is not what people see.
I’m Emirati I so badly want to leave but sadly I can’t because of guardian law ! And the sad part is that I always hated being Khaleeji we have no rights what so ever I always looked to my friends who are non Emirates and had every freedom and I don’t want my kids to have a khaleeji passport but Emirati women can’t marry without male guardian so basically we have no choice I feel so jealous of people that can simply leave
Great video. Regarding the racism, you forgot to also mention that racism also exist amongst other nationalities. It's common to see job adverts saying indian only, Filipino only, etc. Some of us have understood the system. Live within your means and you will save my brother.
you are 100% correct, that's why I left UAE 14 years ago & become Australian Citizen, got a freedom and respect, able to travel anywhere in the world without visa
I'm local from dubai, what you said is 100% true. But the thing that gets on my nerves is that workers get their passport taken away from them. Sometimes, the work grants them a visit home once every two years. This is modern slavery and i wish they'd make a protest against the government and make dubai ruled by the UK or the US. People are so shitty there tbh.
Hi , thanks for the truthful comment. When you say workers, are you refering to lower class Or blue collars? I have a job offer at Danube at a managerial post and they're asking to surrender the passport as well. Thanks for your time!
It's very very hard and complex to understand what is wrong and what is right.. I came here 6 years ago I am single my siblings and mother is very happy that I am helping... A lot of things are true. The point is it's not Dubai government fault you are living in uae its your own country fault. There is no Chinese here in uae because they have jobs in their own country.. In Pakistan India these type of country's economy depends on that money people sending from outside in India Pakistan Bangladesh government and people promote working outside making money.. I am Pakistani I am happy because my siblings are studying and living very well in Pakistan because of me. But I am sad and hopeless because I am sacrificing myself.. I have no degree just came here as a worker and still working as a low level worker. Dubai other countries built on modern slavery... No doubt not Arab fault at all...still have a lot of things in mind but I can't say I don't know how to start and how to end.. Stay in your own country work hard and make your country great for you and and for your kids and generations...
This is the only true comment i read about Dubai .. It is not Dubai Government's fault you work here.. People need to understand Dubai is not a refugee camp and is not responsible to take care of non nationals
I'd like to add salary delays and no pay rise plus taxes plus government charges. The dying businesses and the breathless prosperity only adds fuel to the ever amazing UAE
I lived in UAE for 50 years. Most part I spent my life in international business. Fortunately I never felt negatively in UAE. I enjoyed my business and life. No complaints. However for salary persons there can have some issues. You can still manage even when you are a worker.
I am an indian.I have never been to any other country.but I have my friends and classmates who went to Dubai. They shared their experiences which are similar to what you have said in this video. I want to answer few issues raised in the video, 1. You said Housing rent is expensive almost 60-70% of your earning. I believe same is with Delhi and Mumbai. 2. You said hospitals opt for cesarean section to make money. It exists in most metro cities of India also. 3. You said education is expensive and not recognised in most part of the world. And teachers salaries are less. Same here, Ask an engineer here in India. But Dubai is safe for women and children especially in late night. There will not be any curroption , no demand for bribes. That's why my fellow Indians are moving abroad on the pretext of studying master's degree and settling down there. Thanks for sharing your nearly 40 years experience and thoughts.
Mohammed Hussain our education is getting stronger and stronger each year, and this year the government called foreighners who knows well about the strength of the education, and asked them to rate the schools. After that the government banned the registeration of locals entering low educational schools. Until they rise their educational strength.
Kif Geb uhh... I’m sorry but... it is safe for everyone 😅, it’s is super rare to hear a (woman) got in crime in dubai! Me as a citizen i tell you that there are no difference between arab women and other women in UAE as a whole! There is difference in the emarati women of course because most of them are rich and royals...
But we Indians landed a probe in Mars. We are one of the members of the elite club to have nuclear triad and nuclear shield. One of the best to deliver foreign satellites into orbit. Have a record of placing 108 satellites in a single go. We are one of the fastest growing economy in the world. None of them is UAE. I've seen many foreign people studying here in IIT and IIB. I've not seen anybody going to middle East to do their research or studies in Science and Technology. If you like UAE, why not leave to there? Luxurious country with a lot of oil money.
Those were 10 great reasons. Specially, what are you going to do when you have to leave. As you said in a previous point, Dubai is like a bubble. For a number of reasons, when you've got to go, where are you going to go? What are you going to do? Similar to Los Angeles, "limited income and unlimited rent", lifestyle and temptations to spend haven't allowed you to save. Thank you for giving us all a dose of reality from outside the bubble.
Woah!!!! I'm one of those people who'll search "dark sides of the country" instead of "best things about that country". I'm super amazed to know the reality of UAE. Thanks for the intel :)
You don’t know shit. , where are you right now ? Your probably from India or Pakistan lmfaoooo , jealous women , your taking advice from some dumbass with tattoos all over his face
@@QFilmz and who are you a man, woman, transgender, bisexual, gay, lesbian because your display name is just a letter! Probably you are trying to hide your identity because you aren't comfortable with that. You inferiority complex stricken dumbass! Get some sense!
If you live your life listening to everybody telling you Why you shouldn’t do certain things then you’ll never get anywhere in life. I moved to the UAE very late in life...... (43 years of age) and the reason is exactly what I mentioned above - me listening to what people had to say and not living my Own Life! Yes it is expensive, yes the market is not doing that great, but it’s much worse in the country that I come from. Saying that, I lead a Good life in the UAE. I make good money, I travel the world, which I couldn’t do before and most importantly I can Save, which is something I couldn’t do back home. So before you allow people to make decisions for you, go out into the world and make things happen! There are endless opportunities out there 🤓
You are right, I was in UK and after University I could not get a job fast enough so packed my things and left, got an amazing job in Africa which enabled me to live comfortably and travel around the world. The world is a big place, when your talent is not required in one place another place needs it more.
Cass Cassy are you an idiot ? He has already said what whites get paid is second to locals because Dubai is racist. Naturally you have it easy there. But this video is for non-White expats who suffer discrimination.
I think a lot of people know this already! It's a place for transient experience. Great fun; dream land. And then you must wake up for the rest of your life. Great insight. Good job on this!
It's the same experience in all the other GCC states. It's home until you realize it isn't and all that you knew and loved will be left behind. It's surreal.
Oh god so true Loy Have been serving and working in Dubai more then 10yrs, can't even find job 15,000aed to 20,000aed job Employment is so low levels. Staying in GCC itself is getting horrible day by day
Medical was 100% free during sheikh Rashid time, he was a great ruler, all meats were 50% subsidized by the government during month of Ramadan, everything use to be so cheap and life was very normal & happy
I feel you Loy. Discrimination, racism, political issues at work, no security they all happened to me. I am asian, proud asian indeed and I will never change myself for anything
Here in The Netherlands No Matter What you are, Turkish, Moroccan, Indian, Pakistani, South American, White European. Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Budhist. All get same Salary based on your Education!!. Only Expats from India get Low paid (Its better What They Will have in India)!. But all Dutch What ever your background is all get same Salary!. If you work hard your Life Will get better. Its Sad to hear that you must leave Dubai after 40 years!. I never have Problems with Arabs but I know How They are!. Iam Half White and Half Asian. But Arabs always think Iam Arab. They respect me, treat me very good When Iam in the UAE or Saudi Arabia!. Still I Will never go there for living. How They treat people is not right!. Its not even from Islam!. How can They call their self Muslims 😏😏😏
@@LoyMachedo Don't respond Loy. This video is wonderful. I've been in A.D. for 5 and a half years and feel the end is near. I'll PM you if you don't mind. Thank you for this. It's quite an eye-opener.
@@LoyMachedo, While it's true that Christians don't have to keep all of the Mosaic laws about eating and circumcision; dtc. --- those specific to the Old Covenant beyond the Ten Commandments, And, while those marks may not be the ones that must be avoided, you only need one reason. Levitucus 19: 28, " Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD." Revelation 20: 4, 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Please listen to what he is saying in this video, it is exactly 100% what it is like for expatriates that have lived in Dubai for any length of time - and by the way I am a westerner - what he is saying is true for all nationalities that are not from the GCC
this is true. i know a friend hes a civil engineer from france, he work for 2-4 years then they end the contract becoz no more job for them. he now works in kazakstan
You are not only a good speaker, but you are good person, and only good people share their thoughts and experience with others so that others realise what dubai is in reality. I love dubai, I have worked in dubai for 2 years but every single word you have shared in this video I am not surprised and I know that it's true.
Loy, thank you so much. To begin with, be grateful for the fortune you made while in UAE. I bet chances are not many that you’d have been better if you’d been born, studied & lived in India despite of your smartness. Now as for the youngsters, let them move to the UAE, live & work for a few years. Let them be as frugal as possible and get out as early as they can. The global economy has become tough - even in India, much as the economy is growing still not everyone is prepared enough to harness opportunities therein. Lads, come to UAE, work, save go somewhere else & invest or start another life. Big Love!🙌🏾❤️
Talk about saving! When I get less than other colleagues for doing the exact same job. Why? They got "British passports" and Am "just" Cameroonian. Well...
What a video.. UAE is my home, but what you said really opened my eye, it is true what you said in every part. Respect to you and keep doing your thing my brother.
I totally agree with you. My kids were born n bout up in uae spent my 25 years of my life .true it's difficult for the children to start life back home Sri Lanka Now I'm settled in Malaysia with my family. I agree with your points what your saying is true.
dear loy, your explanation absolutely perfect it touched deep of my heart all your 10 points are 10 out of 10 its super dooper se bhi ooper, great work, keep it up present days awarness which you are putting forward will never come out from the place called Dubai. Good luck and God bless you.
My views as an expat here: 1) cost going up: rent is coming down but stupid made up charges are increasing. I’ve had 2 parking tickets with no date or location on. Groceries are artificially high in my view. Petrol is cheap but car costs are high. 2) job security: I’ve noticed that if you’re in the corporate clique (Lebanese, Egyptian, Indian, Pakistan etc) you can be artificially protected even with underperformance when management bring in their “own”. But I’ve also heard of lots of people not being paid. The job market in corporate is not very good at the moment. 3) agreed that it’s pretty closed off, and there really is not a lot to do here in summer unless you like parties or shopping. 4) definitely I have experienced corporate racism, both in a corporate office, and also with clients who are middle eastern, but do not like working with certain ethnicities. (I’m British, they don’t like us much). 5) I’ve still seen some good incomes and I get 200k a year housing and 45k car, these packages still exist in global corporates. 6) agree, I know many people who have been here for years and have no savings, even in the corporate world. 7) sudden expense: can be if you dint budget well, I’ve not yet been caught out. 8) leaving; yes this is a problem especially with bank accounts being frozen, plus any debts. 9) legal; as above 10) children: totally agree, some of the children I see and hear around the more affluent areas are horrendous, you could not bring them back to the U.K. and fit them in, they’d be bullied to death for being such spoiled little shits.
Why do Vlogs people only talk about good things and hide such important things to the larger audience. Your video is an eye-opener and very candid. I really appreciate your thoughts and feelings. Now after this, I am seriously thinking, if I should opt out of Dubai from the various options I have. Most Vlogs only cover about Rent Expense, School Expense ,zero tax and Great infrastructure. The rest of the things are really not covered as you did. Thanks for the detailed information.
You are 100% correct. I was so close to move to Dubai, but I just was never feeling it 100%. I knew most of the things you said but you reinforced and confirmed other doubts I had and made me hesitant. Thank you! 🙏
You are a Canadian citizen but really really I'm feeling so happy about you and i wana to say about you that I'm proud of you to be a Canadian citizen. It's also my dream to move Canada from the hell Dubai and to be citizen of canada but i don't know when and how ?💔💔💔💔💔😪😪😪😪😪😢😢😢😪😪😪😪😥😥😥😥
Getting expensive? Wait until you live in New York, San Francisco, Tokyo, Paris, Zurich, Copenhagen, Oslo. One more thing, if the rent prices are high, it means there are people willing to pay high; and if your rent is at 60% of your income; you are not making enough money. Either get a better job, or move somewhere else where it’s affordable for you means.
The way you explained was too good and expressive. No words hurt anyone, Too cool explination and moreover you opened eyes of people who are planning to do masters there. Institutions are promising for the job but if we are asking in writing they remain silent. Thanks to one of my frnds who explained me about jobs in Dubai so I cancelled the plan. We come to abroad to earn money and good life style but if it results in low savings then that would be worst decisions of life. And as you said if we go to home country after 60 and with lowest Savings which may be enough to spend retirement there but if we stayed in home country we may have saved more than that and moreover we need someone who would love to be with us but as we are NRI's most of them don't care. And life ends up with nothing..
You know that workers gets paid for their health treatment? And that they get 30 days vacation yearly? Name me a country that does that for the workers! If it is hell, then UAE won’t be a 90% foreigners.
Dipak Basu workers in the UAE have a 30 days vocation each year, that means double the days of the locals in argentina. And they have free medical insurance... and the government prohibited the work in between 12 pm to 4 pm because it is hot, and they are working to make it easier for them.
I've been living in UAE since 1971 and I give you 100 reasons to live in Dubai. Safety and security, clean food and development are on top of my list. Yes I couldn't be a citizen which is sad after 47 years but I'm treated with respect from nationals and I make enough money to live a happy life with my wife and children. ❤🇦🇪❤
Very True... I worked in dubai for 2 years... the facts are exactly informed in the video... these can be experienced only... those who wanted to go to dubai a must see video that how the life would be in Dubai...
True! True! True!!!! never got the chance to see cinemas costing 100- 200 dirhams just to watch a movie but I can still remember it cost 7 dirhams for a movie near (at the back) Lulu Center in Al Karama back in '98. Dubai is like dreaming while awake...
I agree to all. I always wanted to visit Dubai and I will but as a tourist and then keep expanding my business in my own country. That's the best thing to do.
Very informative and educational video!! Thank you!!! Thank you for warning people! How nice of you to get this information out there for people who are considering living there! Good for you for wanting to help others by informing them of the realities there. They would never know otherwise.👏👏👏 I'm sure people have never considered any of these reasons. Bottom line: Go to visit, or to vacation...but that's it!!
Absolutely agreed, but the fact is our nations be it India or Pakistan, have failed us.This is the main reason people from Asian nations have been languishing in UAE. I moved to Canada and always ask my relatives not to waste time inUAE. Use UAE as a launch pad to move to other Western countries where they treat each like a human being
You're right !!! Canada is a million times better than the UAE for pensions. If you're out of work or need help. Medical bills are free. My parents came to Canada with nothing & own nice properties. They did very well in Canada. I started a business that did so well. I don't even need to work anymore !!! My wife has a great job. Her parents did VERY good in Canada. My 2 boys have great jobs !!! You can't beat Canada. In Quality of life !!!
Yaa Canada is presently good place as soon as locals starting killing and shooting you for being Asian brown skin, Good luck for you, i love my india and I have good business hear
Lived in Dubai for 35 years. It got so expensive, I had to leave it with a few 1,000£s of savings. Lives in Uk for 5 years, have really good savings, good mortgage home and peace of mind ultimately. I can do relate with the reasons. Still miss good outdoor food, malls, cars and accessibility of pretty much anything. Still be my home though but didn't want to go back. Always a deliema.
Outstanding insights I've traveled to Dubai...beyond the glitter and glamour of architecture, high end shops and services, I note the foreign Asian and African workers who labor long days and earn low wages. Lay Machedo is speaking truth to the knowledge of power Thanks for the enlightenment
You are 1000%right. I spent 25 years in UAE, all my kids were born and raised in In UAE. Was kicked out in 1992, went back to India, where everything was new for me and my family. Now I am a Canadian citizen. But still miss UAE it was like home to us with all our family and friends.
@@khalidali8193 cause they stole or broke the laws or tried to fuck in the middle of no where ... so they got kicked out...bad apples get bad treatment simple.
Some of rules are just absurd,we lived there for one year that’s all we could bear ,once my husband came to pick me up from a saloon ,poor guy came inside to ask but the ladies at the reception quickly usserd him out ,even though there was a waiting area ,he was baffled.then we found out men are not allowed inside spas etc.needles to say he never picked me up again🤔
Very sincere video, so sad to hear how they treated and paid employees differently based on the color of their skin and where they came from and the disparity of salary between migrant/expact workers versus locals. It's so sad to hear your pain of not able to go back to the community you grew up. Your video is an excellent alert with contrasting view and perspective because we often hear about the good and luxurius life style of Dubai. Thank you for sharing.
wow, I watched your latest video first, then this one, you've changed a bit. great content, good storytelling, sage advice from experience is priceless.
the 5% tax is crazy. Businesses in Dubai don't bother to even give change now like 25 or fifty fils. From 1st January i have lost around 11 dhs by business's not having change or no existence of 5,10.15 fils coins. I know this is not a lot of money but if you take it long term; its actually a lot of money.
We have this same problem in the UK, a lot of items are 99p or £1.99 or £2.99 etc and some street vendors won't bother to give you back the 1 pence. Now over a lifetime that adds up. I must have lost a good £10 at least from this.
Dude, i salute u to have the balls to say all this on a social platform. And every word u spoke is true to the core. I was in Dxb in 2007 but understood the situation very soon nd left it in the middle of 2008. In 2007 my rent was 400 aed which hiked to 1500 aed and like u said theres a slab beyond which u cant get a hike so i felt the same since i was in a similar situation. I think people are only in Dxb to earn some money to go back to their home country and start a small business or save enough for their future. Very inspiring video. Do keep up the good work. Cheers
My prayers everyday is for God to take me to better country UAE is not a country for me have been working as maid for the past one year no off day no rest
We're experiencing the same thing I have been working as a security guard with low salary yet no off for more than a year now resulted illness on my body 😭😭😭 Hope God give me money to travel to Canada or south e
100% Truth!!! I don’t watch videos longer than 2 minutes on youtube but I watched the whole video.. You Have described all things truly.. But You are late Bro you Wasted many years.. Best Wishes wherever you Go just stay happy and blessed.. 💞💞
Earn with right hand and spent whole amount with left hand finally you are going to become zero what could be final savings after we left the country and family with many sacrifices?
very well said my friend , i sty in Dubai around 40 years study in OOEHS and i totally agree with you every single word you say still i miss Dubai more then my country but its no man worlds. people i totally agree with this bold man.
Dubai and UAE in general is best place in the world to live and work. There is no job security anywhere in the world. No doubt it's challenging in work place and the expenses etc.. but u still save money..
I'm so attracted to you, its not really the tattoos, its the contrast of them together with ethnicity, intelligence, charisma, and energy, it stands out. I love that someone whos appearance many might find intimidating and sinister , is on the contrary am individual who is driven by changing the inequality of mankind and trying to honestly bring awareness to make the world a better place.
Do you realize that having tattoos can cause MRI complications and many chronic disease, because tattoos block several functions in human body.
your full of &$#@
Loy he will say that they are natural tattoos like he says in his other video. Gods nature bla bla bla
I am an IIT graduate working in India. My parents have been pressurizing me to move to some gulf countries for the last 2-3 years. Thank God, youtube recommended me this video.
Maybe come to the EU, here we treat immigrants with respect and dignity
Try and stay in your country bro there's nothing better especially if you can make make certain amount of money that you can live on and be happy
Go to North America you will do a lot better
Believe me gulf countries are very good for engineers. I stayed 15 years in gulf made decent savings and retired at the age of 50.
For labors, I don't recommend
U wont be given that type of job with an Indian passport
I was born, raised, resided in the UAE for whole my life. Being from an origin country that's suffering from a constant war. It frightens me they want to cancel my Visa and throw me to a place I know nothing about in a middle of constant warzone, questioning my upbringing, and my existence, remembering that I used to chant the UAE's national anthem every morning everyday in school. Still being treated like this is pretty horrible and upsetting.
@Samuel Goldman another racist
You can't be out of UAE unless you've have done something against the law... However whatever happens to your original country why you blaming Dubai for it??? Fix your origin brother and help your country to Rais up
It’s very sad similar thing to my relatives… who have not been respected by UAE 🇦🇪

I am in uae . he is correct. we are passing through hell here. may God come to our rescue!
Something like expensive, job security, capitalism etc is kinda part of globalisation, the worst part of Dubai is it's hypocrisy, no man's land, very less humanity, extreme racism, disrespect for Indian subcontinent
and so much luxury and less green agh!
"it literally kills you" the hardest and bitterest part is being forced to leave a country where you spent 3, 5, 10 or even 20 years with all you unforgettable memories, friends. just seems like you whole life, then finding yourself in another country completely new to you... i am telling you from personal experience, the thoughts and flashbacks of your time in UAE will haunt you forever,
10 years is a big part of one's life, and i know for fact tens of thousands of other people from different nationalities are in the same situation just like me, forbidden to go near a place that was once their whole world, with memories in every street, corner ,and every bit of that world has a piece of them...........
you could do this with an animal, take them from country to country and even them with take a bit to adapt, not with human beings,,, i say this only happens when you give power to the devil.
Dubai is a perfect example of a spoiled rich kid. Care about themselves only not others. Sadness ☹️.

Yes of course....
Thanks for stating...
slim k I
Termination rule has been changed now.
That is barbaric law

I'm local from dubai, what you said is 100% true. But the thing that gets on my nerves is that workers get their passport taken away from them. Sometimes, the work grants them a visit home once every two years. This is modern slavery and i wish they'd make a protest against the government and make dubai ruled by the UK or the US. People are so shitty there tbh.
Hi , thanks for the truthful comment. When you say workers, are you refering to lower class Or blue collars? I have a job offer at Danube at a managerial post and they're asking to surrender the passport as well. Thanks for your time!
But most Indians would stiill go to great extent to live in Dubai or move out of India, wouldn't they
Hell nah, UAE might not be perfect, but please keep those Zionist imperialist USA or UK away
At least those westerners visiting UAE come to their senses and behave somewhat modestly knowing they are not above the law
Well said👍🏼
Exactly 👌
Head's of you... U sacrifice ur life for ur family happiness...👍
This is the only true comment i read about Dubai .. It is not Dubai Government's fault you work here.. People need to understand Dubai is not a refugee camp and is not responsible to take care of non nationals

Working in Dubai for three months and my conclusion is everybody is poor in his way in Dubai.
Its a weird life.
Dubai Uae is a wild goose chase. So leave it before it leaves you
Brilliant Analogy.
Dubai is good for tourism, if you have graduated from university your life will be happy. Like any other modern city
I'd like to add salary delays and no pay rise plus taxes plus government charges.
The dying businesses and the breathless prosperity only adds fuel to the ever amazing UAE

However for salary persons there can have some issues. You can still manage even when you are a worker.

Dubai has given us a lot

You are 100 percent correct. You touched almost every issue in Dubai. I have been there and I understand what your talking about.
Like just stop like they won’t except u in many jobs cuz u have SOOO MANY TATTOOS ON UR FACEEE
I am an indian.I have never been to any other country.but I have my friends and classmates who went to Dubai. They shared their experiences which are similar to what you have said in this video.
I want to answer few issues raised in the video,
Dubai is not safe for women. Only Arab-Muslims women. Black women for example are not safe there
Kif Geb uhh...
Mohammed Hussain i
But we Indians landed a probe in Mars.
But it's a great place to earn money

I moved to the UAE very late in life...... (43 years of age) and the reason is exactly what I mentioned above - me listening to what people had to say and not living my Own Life!
Yes it is expensive, yes the market is not doing that great, but it’s much worse in the country that I come from. Saying that, I lead a Good life in the UAE. I make good money, I travel the world, which I couldn’t do before and most importantly I can Save, which is something I couldn’t do back home.

Levitucus 19: 28, " Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD."
Revelation 20: 4, 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Now as for the youngsters, let them move to the UAE, live & work for a few years. Let them be as frugal as possible and get out as early as they can. its super dooper se bhi ooper, great work, keep it up present days awarness which you are putting forward will never come out from the place called Dubai.

My views as an expat here:
1) cost going up: rent is coming down but stupid made up charges are increasing.
9) legal; as above
10) children: totally agree, some of the children I see and hear around the more affluent areas are horrendous, you could not bring them back to the U.K. and fit them in, they’d be bullied to death for being such spoiled little shits.

RassBrass not really its just that they are collective on not lowering the rent
Dubai is a paradise for capitalists, and hell for the workers.
Rightly stated.
You know that workers gets paid for their health treatment? And that they get 30 days vacation yearly? Name me a country that does that for the workers! If it is hell, then UAE won’t be a 90% foreigners.
After the fall of the USSR, the whole world is hell for the workers.
Dipak Basu workers in the UAE have a 30 days vocation each year, that means double the days of the locals in argentina. And they have free medical insurance... and the government prohibited the work in between 12 pm to 4 pm because it is hot, and they are working to make it easier for them.
@@LoyMachedo hey
I've been living in UAE since 1971 and I give you 100 reasons to live in Dubai. Safety and security, clean food and development are on top of my list. Yes I couldn't be a citizen which is sad after 47 years but I'm treated with respect from nationals and I make enough money to live a happy life with my wife and children. ❤🇦🇪❤
I genuinely wish you all the best to what life has to offer.
NawafAbuGhazalah they changed the visa rules and you can now get 10 years residency .
Nawaf, You must be from Kerala..
Kkfo
cause your a white its quite obvious be a black and see what happens racism is all you can face,
So if you are a EU or NOrth American citizen you are more protected then ?
Very True... I worked in dubai for 2 years... the facts are exactly informed in the video... these can be experienced only... those who wanted to go to dubai a must see video that how the life would be in Dubai...
Many don't believe....And they learn the hard way....
Thanks for having the courage to speak out the truth. Eye opening. !
True! True! True!!!! never got the chance to see cinemas costing 100- 200 dirhams just to watch a movie but I can still remember it cost 7 dirhams for a movie near (at the back) Lulu Center in Al Karama back in '98. Dubai is like dreaming while awake...
very true observation, dubai has no future for my children and its not a place i can retire.
Very rightly stated Peter!
What do u mean by that
Thanks for making this video, it's quite informative, I'm sure anyone dreaming of moving there will appreciate this.
Thank you for telling the truth … that is so brave . So brave !
Nice.. Broo I'm big fan of you.. Great... Om Namah Shivay
👍🏻👍🏻🦋 THANKS FOR SHARING, I couldn’t even afford to visit but I liked your openness and truthful frankness of your experiences and observations.
Thanks buddy :)
Use UAE as a launch pad to move to other Western countries where they treat each like a human being
DAWOOD HUSSAIN love you reaction so much,am base in UAE and wish moving over to Canada.Guide me plz njiomujoseph@gmail.com
Shut up you cleaner and farmer
Ali Darwish Who's a cleaner or farmer ???
Yaa Canada is presently good place as soon as locals starting killing and shooting you for being Asian brown skin,
Good luck for you, i love my india and I have good business hear
Make sense thank you for this.
Where are you work now
Outstanding insights
I've traveled to Dubai...beyond the glitter and glamour of architecture, high end shops and services, I note the foreign Asian and African workers who labor long days and earn low wages.
Lay Machedo is speaking truth to the knowledge of power
Thanks for the enlightenment
what about your nepal and india and africa trafficing children
belive me they have it much better
I was considering Dubai and suddenly I saw your video. After point 4 I was convinced not to go!
You are 1000%right. I spent 25 years in UAE, all my kids were born and raised in In UAE. Was kicked out in 1992, went back to India, where everything was new for me and my family.
Now I am a Canadian citizen. But still miss UAE it was like home to us with all our family and friends.
Why where you kicked out of the UAE can you please give more information
@@khalidali8193 cause they stole or broke the laws or tried to fuck in the middle of no where ... so they got kicked out...bad apples get bad treatment simple.
Bottom line - Stay in India & use your strength to make India the best place to live in the world
Not a solution for everyone.
Good then. We will organize Ranji trophy between India & Canada then :P
redblueredblue100 exactly my words....very true
dont worry my friend india and philippines will soon outpace those idiot countries in middle east in term s of economy

@@LoyMachedo much appreciated Mr loy🙏
Some of rules are just absurd,we lived there for one year that’s all we could bear ,once my husband came to pick me up from a saloon ,poor guy came inside to ask but the ladies at the reception quickly usserd him out ,even though there was a waiting area ,he was baffled.then we found out men are not allowed inside spas etc.needles to say he never picked me up again🤔
U right thats why i love canada
Very sincere video, so sad to hear how they treated and paid employees differently based on the color of their skin and where they came from and the disparity of salary between migrant/expact workers versus locals. It's so sad to hear your pain of not able to go back to the community you grew up. Your video is an excellent alert with contrasting view and perspective because we often hear about the good and luxurius life style of Dubai. Thank you for sharing.
wow, I watched your latest video first, then this one, you've changed a bit.
great content, good storytelling, sage advice from experience is priceless.
In simple terms I wanna say that in Dubai, we can earn 100% and spend 100% but education is 0%.
the 5% tax is crazy. Businesses in Dubai don't bother to even give change now like 25 or fifty fils. From 1st January i have lost around 11 dhs by business's not having change or no existence of 5,10.15 fils coins. I know this is not a lot of money but if you take it long term; its actually a lot of money.
That is seriously not good!
Thanks for sharing buddy.
We have this same problem in the UK, a lot of items are 99p or £1.99 or £2.99 etc and some street vendors won't bother to give you back the 1 pence. Now over a lifetime that adds up. I must have lost a good £10 at least from this.
Faizan Waseem it's only 5% most of countries have alot higher tax
Great video. Very few have the courage to speak out tho so many feel the same way. Cheers.
This video really helped me ssly! I am deciding upon where to start my career from.. And dubai was one of the options. Thank you❣️
What an excellent eye-opening video! you've truly shed a lot of disillusionment for a lot of us! thank you! thumbs up if you agree.
I agree with this gentleman 100% about the UAE
Thank you for providing an alternate view!
Cheers
Thank you for sharing.
My prayers everyday is for God to take me to better country UAE is not a country for me have been working as maid for the past one year no off day no rest

Lived there for a little over 17 years, I can vouch for everything you have said in this video and much much more.
I was stuck in London for two months due to some circumstances... and I now swear by life in Dubai... living in London is NOT a life!! It’s torture!!
Interesting
I'm so attracted to you, its not really the tattoos, its the contrast of them together with ethnicity, intelligence, charisma, and energy, it stands out. I love that someone whos appearance many might find intimidating and sinister , is on the contrary am individual who is driven by changing the inequality of mankind and trying to honestly bring awareness to make the world a better place.
