He, He..... in Seville the map is tricky. It´s true that the district of "Macarena" is on the north (minute 0:50), but, on the map, the north is on the left, the top of the map is the east.
There are pickpockets in most European cities, so just take precautions: a safety pin to seal your pocket or purse; don't carry much money, keep your bag visible and zipped; but don't worry, they are not violent. I don't think Seville is any worse than others. Don't let it stop you from visiting.
Spanish architecture is mostly of Roman origin including Andalusia's. In fact most Arabic architecture is not even Arabic in origin, unless you call the tents of desert camel herders architecture
Atman Atman Architectural of Spain is arabic base. Really ?? The gothic Cathedral of Burgos is base arab ? The Monastery of Escorial os arabic base ? The Basilic of Covadonga ? Cathedral of León ?. The Palace of Liria ? The Casa del Cordón Palace ? The sacred Family ? The Acueduct of Segovia ? The University of Salamanca ?? Palace of Oriente ?? The historic center of Cáceres ? The Magdalena Palace ? The Dalí Museu ? The Roman Theatre of Mérida ? The house of indianos ? The windmills of La Mancha ? Etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc. How many sterotype !!
Enough of stereotypes and nonsense. Seville will never be the soul and heart of Spain, although it has a prominent role. The Authentic heart and soul of Spain is the north, there began the reconquest, there is the oldest prehistoric art in the world, and much more, so much history cannot be summarized.
the north wasn't conquested- only the south was conquested- so it's a non sequitur. I.e.- the north couldn't have been reconquested. the mezquita in Cordoba is stupendous ('sea of faith', stephen o'shea)

LOL of course they had to show a group of Asians when they mentioned how touristy the main pedestrian streets are
They've taken over St. Petersburg, Russia too..
I was wondering how safe the old town streets are? I've heard Seville is really bad when it comes to pickpockets.

KevinPDX1 it’s pretty safe if you keep alert lol
Hay demasiado turistas.
those narrow alleys seem to get very congested and come to a standstill and then you cant move.
It does get a bit crowded, so you dodge left and right, but I didn't see gridlock. People are generally polite.
Wrong
